A decent hotel in great location close to the city centre, ICC and Utilita Arena with many restaurants within a short walk. We are regular guests here, all the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and and clean with air conditioning. The restaurant offers a great buffet style breakfast with a wide variety of options. Evening dining is well catered for with a good choice of well cooked and presented dishes. The restaurant staff are particularly attentive, Kat leads a great team which includes Eshaa and Najsika. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

Staff are friendly and the the breakfast was excellent, beds are very good however a king size bed would be better. Possibly an extra set of toiletries could be provided on the room as the quantity wasn't enough for two people to use .parking is quiet expensive on site and in the parking next door but nearby streets have paid parking which was a cheaper option except that it is restricted to 4 hours within 8 a.m to 6.30 p.m

Stayed here for the Stereophonics concert at The Arena, the location was fantastic only a 5 minute walk to the venue. Friendly welcoming staff, nice clean room with a very comfortable bed. We hadn't booked breakfast as there is so much choice in Birmingham, but we were offered 2 for 1 when we checked in and we were glad we took it up as it was a very good quality buffet breakfast. All in all a very good stay. If you do park under the hotel, the car park is very tight and if you have a big car it may take some manouvering.

This was a one night stay for going to Crufts the following day.

The room was very clean, comfortable and warm. The shower was really powerful, the towels very fluffy and lovely toiletries. The only criticism of the facilities is we had 4 coffee sachets 1 normal and 3 decaffeinated and no teaspoons for stirring the drinks (when I asked at Reception the man informed me we had to help ourselves to teaspoons from the restaurant (??? never head of this in ANY hotel - bizarre!). Reception staff were efficient but not particularly friendly or welcoming.

Unfortunately, the location of our room (room 302) was adjacent to a mini roundabout and facing some housing flats. We managed to get to sleep from 10.30 until about midnight, when the noise from the street below started. A group of yobs were drinking alcohol/playing loud music on mobiles by a tree right beneath our window, they were also shouting and swearing at passing cars (revving of engines and honking horns). This noise of cars, music and shouting went on for literally hours, I finally fell asleep at nearly 3.00! The glazing did not cut out noise at all, I resorted to cotton wool pads in both ears and a pillow over my head. A really poor sleep, as we were awake at 6.30 the next morning.
I'm sure there are quieter rooms in the hotel but based on the really poor night's sleep in an unpleasant area I would never consider staying at this hotel again, very disappointing.

Just completed a short but really nice stay at this Hilton Garden Hotel in Birmingham. Its based, just off broad street, in Brindley place, walking distance from the town centre, surrounded by the canals, lots of shops, restaurants, bars and a multistorey car park.

On arrival we were greeted by front desk supervisor Payal Pushkarna, who whilst she was actually leaving for the evening, took the time to check us in, ensuring we had a nice room and felt really welcomed at the hotel.

Our room was clean, tidy, with a comfortable bed and a good view of the surrounding area.

Breakfast was in the restaurant, with a good selection of hot and cold food, which catered for our dietary requirements. Corina who was present at the time was plesant and very accommodating with any requests.

Whilst it was a short stay, we were very happy and would certainly visit if staying in this location again.

This hotel has the friendliest staff we have ever encountered on our travels around the world and we have never felt so welcome. We checked in on line and as we arrived early we were treated to a complimentary coffee. Our room a Queen deluxe was on the 7th floor and was a huge room, plenty of electric sockets, well lit, good air con, extremely quiet and with complimentary items in the mini fridge.
We ate in Recess on two evenings and the food was excellent, good portion sizes and a good price.
Breakfast was again excellent with all items hot and regularly replaced. Terry who cooks the most fabulous omelettes is a ray of sunshine in the morning and you can’t help smile as he chats to all the quests.
We parked underneath and great to have safe and secure parking.
We had a great couple of days and will certainly visit again and would definitely recommend- thank you to a great team

We have staying in this hotel before and despite suffering a bit with noise levels late at night we decided to give it another try after speaking with them on the phone and being guaranteed High rooms (Corner Queen Rooms) on the quiet side of the hotel.

On arrival we were advised our check in day was the day following and we had no booking. Thankfully I was able to prove otherwise and they commenced sorting out our rooms.

Sadly although the rooms we eventually got were clean and comfortable and quiet! They were not 'Corner Queen Rooms' and defiantly did not have Queen beds.

We have raised this complaint with the hotel as we were allocated lower grade rooms than we booked and paid for. Sadly to date we have not received any satisfactory recompense. Its such a shame as the staff at this hotel are lovely and the hotel is very clean in a good location. We just feel we where not given what we paid for and I can only assume this was due to those rooms not being available as a result of the booking mess up.

Maybe somebody reading this can come back to us and discuss the matter as we have only heard from what feels like and automated system. We visit Birmingham on a regular basis and would like to use the hotel again but we have no faith we will get what we book and thats not acceptable.

This hotel is situated in a lovely part of Birmingham with Sealife and loads of lovely traffic free cafes and restaurants, walks by the canal nearby. Hotel super friendly, Andy in the bar was a star. Had a room on the top floor, no especially loud noise from the corridor or the adjoining rooms. Would stay here again for sure, remember to book breakfast in the morning if you haven’t already paid for it otherwise you will pay £7 more per person.

The hotel is situated in a really nice place. Due to current road works, it'll take a few twists and turns I and out of streets to get to the place but once you're there, honestly, my partners mouth dropped open at how nice the area and hotel looks from the outside.
Cobbled roads means cars drive slow and there's a car park next door to the hotel to make everything convenient.

Reception is amazing because the people are amazing. Really friendly, really kind. Lifts are tiny but in the covid world its perfect! Up the lifts and into our room, Queen room. It's..  not bad. Normal room, carpet outdated,  the bed, well the bed creaks. It's on a wooden base and when you sit on it, it really creaks. Not the sound you wanna hear and I'm 6ft 1 and 9 stone (yeah, really light! Lol).
There are tea and coffee packets - decent cuppa but they do not replenish the tea and coffee's through the day, not even once which is annoying.
I assumed they'd at least do it before 9PM or even just as we gone for breakfast the next morning. But nope.

Breakfast - really nice. Buffet style. Can't go wrong for the extra tenner you pay when booking.

Key card: don't put your mobile phone on top of them or they'll reset and can't get into your room.

Surrounding areas: really nice, sea life like 60 seconds away, no cars , no hussle and bustle, perfect for people with children in the day.
At night the Surrounding areas become boisterous and loud with music, drinkers and clubbers. Don't worry, you can't hear them from the hotel room.

So all in all 7/10.
The staff make the place amazing.

In my opinion: if they replenished the teas and coffee, made the carpet and bed better than what it is (I.e beds shouldn't creak) then the place would be a real bargain for £90 that I paid.

Thank you for your review, you are so right....it is the Team in any hotel that makes the real big difference to a Guests stay. Usually during normal times Housekeeping would service your room daily automatically, with our Brand Leading Hilton CleanStay program Guests can chose if they wish for a Team Member to go in, or ask for additional supplies to be dropped off at the bedroom door. So glad to read that you loved our Hilton Breakfast and for it to be great value for money. We look forward to hosting your next stay. Kind regards HGI Team

Chose the hotel only on its location.
Parking was easy in adjacent multi storey car park, for which we got a 10% discount.
Lobby, bar and public areas all excellent, as was interaction with all staff members.
Bedroom was a good size, clean and with a comfortable bed.
Bathroom a little cramped but adequate, only negative was difficult to control shower temperature.
Would book again if in same area.
