Seriously guys, this is the place to stay. They didn't mind when we walked through the lobby with our cans, you can come and go as you place and as intoxicated as you please all through the night... its awesome. The beds don't make too much noise when you shag on them... what else can you ask for? LOVE LOVE...

Well...where to start, despite the bad reviews and apart form the slippy floor in the reception area (there again it had rained last night) and the door knob on the inside of the bathroom missing, it was a decent nights sleep. Cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. If I need a cheap place to stay then I will be coming...

I stayed at the hotel for one night in Feb 2017 and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is good value for money, I paid £35 for one night in a single room. Good points- clean, cheap, relatively close to the city centre, helpful staff. Negatives- noisy at night, windows are not double glazed so wind was causing them to...

Thank you for your review, I am sorry for the inconvenience you faced due to a malfunctioning boiler. With high winds caused by storm Doris, windows all over the city were rattling, but we are looking into the possibility of providing secondary double glazing to try and remedy this in our beautiful 113 year old Grade II listed hotel. We...

After spending 8 hours in this hotel I'm lucky to have got out alive and avoided contracting some kind of life threatening disease! No standards of hygiene, unimpressed with the overall impression, decor and smell of the establishment. I would have had more comfort sleeping on the reception floor than on the well worn mattresses. Thank god I got away...

Absolutely shocking. Disgusting hallways with half smashed up rooms on show. The room we stayed in (525) had no working electrical key, was freezing cold, the mattress felt like a bed of nails and it smelled like a skunks backside. Looks ok from the outside. Tried to charge us twice for the room. Should have given us twice our money...

Our hearts sank on arrival - the area not particularly good, the car park a bit of a mess but free and welcome. We were going to a wedding until late but were told that all was well and that we could book in any time up to 2am by a very pleasant receptionist. (All staff most friendly). Having read...

Thank you for your review of your short stay, and yes though we are in the throes of a full refurbishment it is being carried out sympathetically floor by floor so that it is not at all intrusive on the present guest experience. I appreciate your recognition of the hotel's aim in providing very reasonably priced clean comfortable en suite...

I have stayed here before. It was about 2 years ago, then it was sturdy old fashion, a bit shabby, but functioning, clean, friendly and it had history and character. Now, it's been "refurbed".......interesting interpretation. It's been painted, new tacky furniture install. You can feel every spring in the mattress. The shower fell apart when you turned in on, the...

Stayed here for 1 night in Feb 17. Ideal location for local bars/nightlife. Parking was in secure locked area so no issues with parking. Was welcomed by staff on arrival who were polite and helpful. The room was basic but clean and tidy and a good size for two people (we were in a twin room). Bathroom was also clean...

Thank you for your review, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. As regards the ironing facility, while we regret that you burnt a hole in a piece of your clothing, the irons are all steam irons with individual temperature controls for you to adjust yourself to suit the instructions on the garment you are ironing. Unfortunately, I can’t say this was the best Hotel experience I have had. On arrival, the Hotel seemed nice, but that quickly changed. My primary compliant was the cold room temperature. It took around three quarters of an hour for me to fall asleep, Staring at the damp, sodden celling. I woke up repeatedly in the night shivering. The bed...

Good price, stayed for one night. Not far from town centre. Looks like work is being done, rooms recently pained, new carpet, bathroom really clean and bed really clean. Bit noisy when other guests came in. That's not the hotels fault, silly drunk people.
