Had a single room for a Saturday night stay following visit to Birmingham Symphony Hall, eady walking dustance. The Briar Rose hotel is a Wetherspoons hotel, with interconnecting door into the pub; the hotel has its own key card operated entrance as well. Briar Rose is perfectly situated for New St Station and all the sights of Brum. Had room...

I booked this hotel because it was cheap for Birmingham and was in walking distance of the barclay card arena and train station. Being situated just off new Street it is a brilliant location for other venues shops and resteraunts. Me and my mate where thrilled with the room bigger than we thought clean and comfortable. Supply of hot drinks...

Nice clean hotel in a central location in Birmingham, very suitable to my needs and I have stayed there several times now, so always happy to go back. Though on this occasion I was in a room at the front on the street so a little noisy when the pub turned out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Briar Rose. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the room was well equipped and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were unable to have breakfast on our final morning as the place was PACKED, at 9.30am, with people in town for the Aston Villa v Birmingham football match. We...

Stayed over here recently as part of a large group. We arrived and had breakfast which was not the usual standard in a Wetherspoons as it arrived virtually cold, not sure why didn't want to complain as friends birthday and didn't want to spoil it. Slept over in the hotel, have to say all the staff we met were exceptional...

We stayed for two nights for my husbands birthday. Staff very friendly & helpful. We stayed in room 501 and it was quiet considering we were in the centre of the city. Close to New Streer Station. If we came to Birmingham again we would stay here.

Just called in here for a lunch time meal. One of the cheapest eating places around here for a start. The pub was lovely, clean and a sizable meal was delivered by the friendly pub staff. It was edible and filled a gap with a good range of ales on tap. All in all an enjoyable meal and easy on...

Do not stay if you need to sleep The outside windows would not close properly, very poorly maintained catches thus letting all the nighttime noise in off a very busy street until after 3.30 am then the street cleaners started worst nights sleep ever
