Park Regis Birmingham offers a mix of experiences, with many guests enjoying its spacious and spotless rooms, often complimented by the hotel's modern atmosphere and attentive staff. While the central location is celebrated for its convenience, some have raised concerns about safety and the lack of scenic views. Amenities like the ample breakfast and parking are popular, though the value perception is varied, with some criticism over pricey beverages and parking. Noise can be an issue for some, due to events or elevators, yet others report a peaceful stay.

The overall hotel is very nice, however, the room I was allocated stunk of what I originally believed to be cannabis. I walked in and walked straight back out again. After letting staff at reception know, they assured me that it was a non-smoking hotel and that it was the smell of the carpet cleaner. After my room change, I could no longer smell it, until I returned from the event I attended - slightly. It must be the carpet cleaner because my colleague could smell it in his room too. If I could make any suggestions, it would be to change what you use to clean the carpets - it stinks! Otherwise, the Sky Bar was delightful with great service and city views. The breakfast was tasty but a bigger selection of cooked food would've been nice. The standard room I stayed in was very small but accommodated my needs. The toilet in the room was loose. The gentleman who welcomed us on the ground floor was lovely.

Our daughter paid for one night's stay at the Park Regis to enable us to see Paul Carrack in concert at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham and not have to travel back on the same night. The hotel is luxurious and it was an experience in many ways. We were greeted at reception by Ana who was the epitome of professionalism. She was warm, friendly, informative and made us feel welcome and valued. The room was comfortable and very spacious. Ana was the best thing about the visit, I'm sorry to say. The room was cold and all efforts to set the temperature were unsuccessful. We take responsibility for some of the problem as we should have rung reception and we didn't. When we did go to reception, on the way to the concert, we asked if someone might check the windows for us as there was still traffic noise we could hear. If anyone came we still had the same volume when we returned. Nonetheless, it was a comfortable bed and we slept well. Breakfast the next morning was very mediocre, food was quite cold and there were no eggs of any kind. We were greeted at the desk by a gentleman who made no eye contact. 'Room number?' he said. No 'good morning, have you eaten here before?' He had no people skills whatsoever. I said good morning to him but it was not reciprocated. On leaving, I spoke of our experiences to the staff on reception who apologised profusely and listened to my complaints and also of our praise for Ana, that she was a credit both to herself and the company. I suggested that they consider sending the staff on breakfast duty that day on a course to learn people skills. The reception staff were very good: professional and helpful. Would we return? Probably not . . . Premier Inns have always offered a better service and better food, I'm sorry to say.

We have not long returned from our break at Park Regis, we didn’t want to leave. The team have been so kind over the past few days and everybody was extremely polite. Our executive room was lovely, the food was tasty and the drinks were very nice too- we quickly made friends with the 2 lovely gentlemen working the bar, enjoyed cocktails on the terrace and made many lovely memories. Given the Covid-19 situation I felt safe as the hotel was clean and sanitising stations were throughout the hotel, we were even given a complimentary bottle of hand sanitisers in our room. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend with my family, celebrating my 18th birthday- we were even given a bottle of Prosecco on the first night, extremely kind of the team. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

I’ve just got home from a weekend in Birmingham and a stay at the Park Regis. The hotel was superb in every way. The room was spacious, clean, comfy and very good value good money. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went the extra mile to ensure we had a great stay. Breakfast was very good and the entire hotel oozed quality and style from the lighting to the fresh scents as you walk into reception.

Stayed here one night on business. The hotel is at the far end of Broad Street, so a good 15 minutes to walk to the city centre, which is fine if the weather is dry. I had a room of the 12th floor overlooking the massive roundabout, but the double glazing was great so there was next to no noise. I had a ‘deluxe’ room which was certainly fine, not massive but clean, it did have a strange odour like some previous guest had smoked in the room and various cleaning products had been used to mask the smell. Had a drink in the bar, which was pleasant enough, unfortunately the barman, for some unexplainable reason, wouldn’t let me pay by debt card just adding the amount to my room bill and not being bothered when I objected! Lucky the reception staff were great and sorted it out the next morning. The breakfast was good, lots to choose from and really nice surroundings. All in all a very good hotel where I will stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your recent stay. The team were delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have taken your point on the smell in the room and passed this onto our housekeeping manager. As for the service in the bar this has been passed onto our F&B manager. All of our guests have the option to pay with card, cash or a charge-back to the room. Apologies for the miss-communication on this. We all look forward to welcoming you back to Park Regis Birmingham in the near future. Regards Lilly Baston Guest Service Executive

I stayed at this hotel during the 1st week of re-opening after COVID-19. Due to work i had to be in the city centre for the next day so i thought i'd visit Park Regis as i had never been here. From the moment of booking i felt that they are taking safety seriously. The team briefed me regarding their safety measures. The hotel itself has signs and sanitising stations everywhere and the rooms were spotless. A good balance of maintaining a great customer experience and keeping people safe. Will visit again. Thanks Park Regis team.

Before we even got there we were given great help finding the car park by Lily on the phone she was so helpful, we checked in with mat and lily both couldn’t be more helpful they explained how everything is with covid rules even down to the pens been sanitise for us to fill out our breakfast requests,
There is hand sanitiser all over this hotel, the room was spotless with amazing views

Enough on covid this hotel is stunning I really thought I was booking something like premier inn (purple) the picture I’ve seen didn’t do this hotel any justice but what we got was a stunning classy hotel, the staff couldn’t of been more friendly and helpful at one stage I think 3 different people asked if everything was ok at breakfast and if we have been seen to,
The breakfast came hot and everything we asked for.
They called us a taxi for our meal out and lily let us no when it arrived.
Outstanding service can’t wait to go back.

We have just come back from a 2 night stay in the Park Regis Birmingham with our son and our friend to attend a conference in the ICC.
Our welcome to the hotel was great - Lily on reception made us feel very welcome and we knew our stay was going to be great.
Lily was very engaging and helpful, when we saw her over the weekend she came over to speak to us and we even got a photo with her!
The rooms are nice and comfortable and clean.
The ICC was a 10 minute (slow) walk from the hotel so the location was ideal and because it was at the end of Broad Street we were not affected by any noise from the bars etc.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
And a special thanks again to Lily - we will hopefully see you soon

Just got back after another amazing overnight stay here. We were well looked after by Lilly. Due to covid restrictions the restaurant was not open but the bar has a limited menu, food was cooked to a high standard and was delicious. Lots of alcohol gel around and one way system in place. People abiding by the current guidelines and the room had obviously been deep cleaned prior to our arrival. Can't wait for our next stay!

Weekend stay deferred from last year due to lockdown
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and staff attentive
Reception staff very good and must give a huge thanks to Lily who was duty manager and dealt with my concerns about the room not being cleaned or replenished. This had been an error on my part as I did not realise that the "do not disturb" sign also had a "please replenish my room" side which I failed to put on the door.
Despite this; Lily offered an apology even though it was my fault and offered a complimentary drink on the house. In addition she replenished the room for me.
A Excellent member of staff who is a credit to the hotel.

Good Morning, I hope you're well. Our Standard rooms are located either next to a lift or at the end of the corridor. You can request on check in to be located away from the lift, and the team will do their best to accommodate this. If an executive or deluxe room is booked these are far away from the lift. Many Thanks, Lilly Baston Guest Relations Executive
