Long term family stay. Family friendly. Disability friendly. LGBTQ+ friendly. First impressions of the hotel, particularly once inside, are awe inspiring! The aesthetics of this building are stunning, creating a calm, clean, beautiful and yet practical environment. The views are wonderful, particularly from the very upper floors and at night. Yet, although appreciated, it’s not the aesthetics and comfort that make this hotel. It’s the staff. Everyone I have met from management to the cleaners are friendly, professional and authentic humans. It’s true that nothing is too much trouble for them, they genuinely wish to make your stay a special and comfortable one. My eldest child has complex needs both physically and socially. The hotels accessible room really is truly accessible. Moving around the hotel is done with ease too. All the staff recognise different needs and work to meet them, through genuine care and compassion. Possessing the ability to communicate with autism in mind, is absolutely priceless! My youngest child has not been left out and has had their fair share of positive attention from all staff. Both Lilly and Paul in particular have a wonderful manner with children and clearly enjoy making them feel seen, heard and appreciated. Outside of catering considerately to special needs the staff also do the little extras to make you smile. Sometimes grand gestures too, Santa’s visiting the children (socially distanced) outside the hotel tomorrow! The covid measures here are extremely thorough and even when they limit the ability of the hotel to run as they would otherwise wish, this does not impact on the lovely experience of staying here. Problems are resolved swiftly and discretely, so long as they are communicated in plenty of time for any possible adjustments to be made. This hotel is obviously run not from duty alone but also from the heart as that’s reflected in all that they do. Thanks again all :)

I stay 2 to 3 nights a week regularly. I have been doubg this for nearly 5 years. I have seen the same or probably better standards in tge hotel and the staff since COVID. I feel very safe staying here. The hygiene standards are very high and reliable. I will continue my stay peacefully in this lovely place.

I have so many wonderful things to say about this absolutely beautiful hotel. The Park Regis continuously upholds a high standard with their spacious grand rooms, friendly and supportive staff, fantastic customer care, delicious food, brilliant beverages and a great gym too. Lilly has always made each stay a magical one for special occasions or a nice weekend break. She makes sure that everything is just how I like it from the room to the extra details for my stay. Paul on reception has also been very kind and supportive during my stays. I have enjoyed mocktails and food at the bar thanks to Ricardo, who can cater to a variety of different diets for guests. Each stay has been memorable and it is my favourite place to stay due to the prestige of the hotel, the spacious rooms with a fantastic bathroom and a large full length mirror amongst the accessible location. The Park Regis, upon arrival in the downstairs lobby smells like a spa. They have this year, during the pandemic, kept their entire hotel COVID secure which is reassuring to all the guests who have come through their doors, I witnessed a COVID secure wedding from a far which was so lovely to see with guests enjoying the celebrations. The hotel happily hosts business clients having work lunch meetings and it is a safe and well managed hotel. I can’t wait to stay again soon and try out the outdoor terrace. Thank you.

Well I must say your reception and lobby area is very well laid out and full of splendor but unfortunately this does not carry on into your rooms. More colour could be added in there to make it more welcoming and match the lobby's grandeur. I also did find it perculiar that your family rooms do not have baths, God forbid if there was a baby because it would be impossible to give them a wash in the bathroom. I appreciate that showers are more eco-friendly however babies need a baby friendly room. I would return but only as a couple as I feel it's more geared to adults. Breakfast was quite basic there was only ever bacon beans and eggs. I myself don't eat pork so was restricted to eggs and beans for the mornings we were there. In 2020 there are many meat free alternatives available it would have been nice to see a chicken or vegetarian sausage as well as mushrooms and croissants and porridge. There was also no santizer nor a member of staff manning the hot drinks section which would make it a breeding ground for cross contamintion. Perhaps you should consider taking guests hot drink orders at the table as a way of avoiding risks. Whilst we were there some leaflets of sorts were posted through the doors which is alarming given the state of affairs at the moment with Covid-19. Perhaps you should invest in an app so guests can be kept up to date and menus are uploaded on there in not only a pandemic safe way but one that decreases your paper waste.

Finally managed to return to Birmingham after lock down and having to re book etc. We have stayed at the Park Regis before and really enjoyed the hotel. We attended the hotel around midday and were served by Wagner, who I must say is excellent member of staff, kind efficient and welcoming. Just what we needed after a rough journey through the city. The room we had was excellent and was very Covid secure. The room was lovely, clean, spacious and the bed was great. However breakfast is a different story, I appreciate things have changed and have had to for Covid. Getting customers to order their breakfast is an excellent idea and had no issues about. The issue between my and my fiance was, bringing everything all out at once, cooked breakfast and cereal, it felt rushed and the breakfasts were not even warm. At no point in this review will I criticise the staff Wagner or his colleague. We have stayed in many hotels in this Covid pandemic. Breakfast should be served course by course, cereal first then staff can bring the cooked breakfast From my observations and speaking with the staff, there was one chef, a receptionists and one person collecting plates and bringing out the meals. In management terms this is unacceptable as you are placing your staff under immense pressure, you should have had more staff on duty to make the breakfast more efficient for the customers. I will say again Wagner and his colleague did the best they could and management should be providing more staff to assist them. I look forward to the managers response and will happily discuss if required. 4 out if 5 because your staff and room were the positives.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback, we were all delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. I have also shared your feedback with Waqar. As you have highlighted our standards have had to adapt to ensure that we are Covid Secure, however it is not our standard to serve all of your breakfast at the same time, please accept my apologies, you can be rest assured re-training has been undertaken. We all look forward to welcoming you back to Park Regis Birmingham in the near future. Regards John Angus Managing Director
