A group of us stopped over night to go to the dog races, on arrival seemed OK, then we were told we had to hand are keys in on going out, if we wanted breakfast in the morning had to pay there and then, after having a good time at the races got back to the hotel for 11 pm...

Had a 1 night stay here in May. Nice spacious room with comfortable bed, tea/ coffee making facilities. Choice of smoking or non smoking rooms. Even better was my room had a view of the Greyhound track so if you're lucky to have one too on a race night you can watch the racing from the comfort of your room.

Stayed at the Lodge as part of the Red Robins touring golfing group, and I must say this hotel is as good as it gets for groups like us. Everything you need for a comfortable stay inside, with a pub serving good food and a dog track both on your doorstep. Very friendly staff, well priced beer and a cracking...

Hotel is slap bang on the greyhound stadium, ideal if you are thinking of attending a meeting. Staff were friendly, room was a fair size with a double and single bed. Bed was comfy. It has a small residents bar on the 1st floor where they also serve breakfast. The breakfast was a typical English one and very filling. Unfortunately...

The food was excellent, we also had a few winners which rounded the nite off well. Great place for families and friends to get together. Looking forward...

Hotel chosen due to its location near to friends and the fact it had facilities for the mobility restricted patrons. My first impressions of the hotel were not brilliant. I had seen previous reviews and knew that the room key would have to be collected from an upstairs bar, not a problem as I had my daughter with me, however...

The room was clean, well sized and ample parking provided, ideal for what we needed (2 x adults and a baby). We were ground floor infront of the car park, didn't feel insecure in the slightest, and wouldn't have minded being on the dog track side either, as it's really just a big open view. Excellent for the price, no...
