What can I say ? What a hole.. I can give it one star because I cant give it any less. This hotel was described as a "mystery" destination when we booked a national coach 3 day trip away. We only booked 2 days before the trip so didnt know what to expect. What did we find? Location is great....

I decided to stay overnight with you as I had teaching sessions at Coventry University on 24th Oct. However,I am deeply saddened to say that my stay at the Britannia Hotel Coventry on 23/24 October was with doubt the very worst experience I have had in any hotel in the UK. I did leave a comment form at reception on...

Our first impression of this hotel, having negotiated the non-working entrance doors, was that we had booked in to the local doss house. This has got to be the dirtiest and smelliest hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The object of the exercise was to stay in Coventry for one night, spend three days on trains...

I arrived at 7pm .Checking in ...I waited 30 minutes while the 1 clerk dealt with 3 Foreign men, only 1 who finally was staying. The room was a family one.Too big for 1 person but they could not change my room as there were no empty available. The carpet was badly marked, and very dirty around the edges.Wallpaper had seen...

Had stayed at this hotel previously to check out facilities. Returned on 18th October with 118 Linedancers for an annual party weekend. This was a learning experience for both our group and the hotel staff. Dancers can be quite demanding. Staff were very quick to put right any problems and although some rooms were a little tired looking and needed...

Checked into this hotel for a work conference for 2 horrible nights. My work was slow off the mark booking the hotel so the rest of my industry colleagues had booked out all the hotels in Coventry and the brittania was the only one that had rooms available. Now I know why. When we got to reception the first person...

This hotel looks awful from the outside and unfortunately does not get any better on the inside. I'm just glad I was only here for one night. On opening the door to our room the smell of cigarette smoke was unbearable and that was just the start. The room was dirty and scruffy with dirty pillows on the bed. We...

The minute you walk in, you can tell, you`re in for a Special Ghetto Treat. For Starters, The receptionist (No Names) was moody throughout the checking in process just because I asked for Parking. Seems like she already knows, she works for [--] Hotel. For a hotel with many floors, there was only ONE ELEVATOR working for the Entire Hotel....

From the ill fitting front doors to the shabby paintwork and broken lifts the place is screaming out for a large investment if time and money. The tariff boards lists a £200 price tag on the room we paid £54 for both were over priced. The evening meal was the worst I have ever eaten and I was Ill as...

The minute you drive towards it you know you are in for a bad time. 70s concrete rooms straddling the road. Reception is gloomy, receptionist thankfully not so. We had paid for an "executive double". Lord knows what the standard rooms are like if that is executive! Single glazed windows made it noisy and cold, despite the clunking radiator. Lukewarm...
