Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed 4 nights in the Duke Superior room. A lovely large room with views over the countryside. And a wonderful power shower to boot. Alison was a very welcoming host, friendly, chatty & knowledgeable about the area. Every morning there was fruit, juices, yogurts & cereal laid out followed by a delicious full english breakfast cooked by our host. Definitely recommend & would love to return. Thank you.

We had a very relaxed and comfortable stay at Hanger Down House. The host, Alison, is so welcoming and helpful and has good knowledge of the local area. Our room was well equipped with a vey comfortable bed, sofa, t.v, lovely shower room and fridge. Breakfast was delicious, beautifully cooked and well presented The city of Arundel is accessible by foot, a twenty min walk. Lots of historic interest and the Wildlife & Wetlands Trust site to visit.

Visited for a two day break and despite the weather we had a great time. Situated in a lovely rural location it was a pleasant half hour stroll into Arundel. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and the room was spacious, warm and extremely well equipped, with an iron, ironing board and hairdryer as well as all the usual requirements. Breakfast was great with plenty of fruit, cereal and a wonderful cooked full English. I can't praise this B & B enough and will definitely visit again

This is an excellent small b&b in a superb location just outside the beautiful town of Arundel. My room upstairs was well equipped, it even had a small fridge which came in handy on a warm evening. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the cooked breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights during October half term and couldn’t be happier. Alison made us feel very welcome and comfortable and nothing was too much bother for her. We stayed in the ground floor room which was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the en-suite was lovely. My wife and I would highly recommend Hanger Down House and we would definitely stay again.

Booked for the Goodwood Member Meeting this year, just past. What a nice place! Great care and conversation with the host, very sincere on an A+ best experience. Quite convenient to Goodwood, also the nice town of Arundel. We will come back for sure and recommend to all that want a small B&B experience. Nice rooms with all you need, great breakfast, just smiles all around.

Stayed here for 2 nights . The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. Spotlessly clean. Tea and coffe in the room with milk left in the fridge there. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful outside garden with table tennis and seating area. So peaceful . Good breakfast , and we all left with a bag of cooking apples from the tree in the garden. Thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast and would love to stay again
