Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I bought the deal as a break for a friend’s birthday treat. It presented as a hotel with pool and beauty treatments. I notice it still says so on this site. It really isn’t a spa destination. When we arrived we found that there were no treatments available, in fact there were no rooms that seemed suitable either, there was no seats to sit alongside the small pool so it was not conducive to relaxation and with only a small steam room alongside, disappointing. The hotel is a £30 taxi ride into town. I should’ve found that out beforehand but it’s advertised as Yapton, Arundel, in fact It says Arundel on this site. It isn’t. Because it was so far out we chose to eat in the restaurant. Food was ok but service very erratic. We waited 40 minutes for starters with mains arriving whilst we still ate the starters. On our second afternoon and then on our last morning, there was no water for shower, toilet or drinking. Total health hazard. It may not have been the hotel’s fault, we didn’t find out, but there seemed no urgency to sort it or keep guests informed. The poor receptionist was inundated but that didn’t change the situation. The grounds are extensive and well kept, beds very comfortable and self service breakfast lovely - hence 2*

Murder Mystery evening. Good welcome but cannot check in until 3pm we arrived at 2.45pm asked to come back so we had a drinks in the bar. Food at event was stunning as was service. Major works needed on the exterior and mould/ damp issue. Bedrooms not affected but the corridors really bad as you head down to 522. Outdoors stunning again needs some TLC

After having read all the reviews regarding Avispark Hotel Arundel, when we walked through the main doors, we were pleasantly surprised! It was well decorated, very welcoming and very clean. We were also expecting our "cozy" double room to be small but it was a good size double! It's set in a lot of arces which looked very green and spring like. The outside of the hotel looks a bit run down and needing some TLC, (don't we all) but we thought it added character. The staff are very welcoming, we received excellent service, we would definitely stay here again! 4 Starts

We held a large event here and we could not have faulted the venue or the staff - it was 100% perfect in every way. Staff were friendly & willing to help, rooms were spacious, clean & tidy and the grounds second to none. We were there for ae whole weekend in February, I can only imagine it gets more beautiful as the seasons change. Thoroughly recommend!

We booked a deluxe family room , nothing deluxe apart from the price , very disappointed would have had a better room in the premier in , very misleading when you got still pic on the webside with the Hilton logo on it , we stayed in a few and found them very nice , so didn’t think twice to book it . Service was a shamble you stand at the bar for 20 min before getting someone to talk to , the only good thing was the food it was lovely when you managed to order . Felt sorry for the staff us they tried very hard their just weren’t enough of them . They need to really look at their situation as I don’t thing many people would go again and it would be such a shame us it could be a great place . Just overpriced for what it is at the moment sorry to say specially in times when people haven’t got a lot of money to treat themselves .i wish them all the best for the future and hope they get it sorted .

Went for a long weekend and event. Rather run down in places needs a lick of paint and some repair to wallpaper. Definitely not enough staff which seems to be in all departments, long queues at the bar with an overworked stressed barman. Spa out of action for months and no opening date yet. Lovely grounds, bedroom clean however the safe did not work correctly as part missing. No decent light for my wife to put makeup on, however this is a common theme for most hotels. Sauna and steam rooms excellent with small indoor pool and gym. Event held in Grand Hall, nice location but a fair walk down a cold corridor, would be lovely in mid summer. Whole event went off well with good food and service and excellent entertainment. Only fly in the oitment is again shortage of staff when the bar had to close so that the bar staff could assist in delivering food to the tables. Even with the shortage of staff they were all helpful and friendly

Really expected good things from this hotel and was super disappointed. Firstly, check in was very rushed, no details provided on amenities, no option to put down a card at that point and we were told to pay as you go at the bar for drinks and food. Our room was on the second floor, there is no lift. When we arrived in our room it looked fine on the face of it, then realised there was no in-room fridge, no hairdryer and clear signs of damp and condensation damage. Complementary shower and body wash was provided but no conditioner or body lotion. We used the fitness centre and was pretty shocked. This is open to the public and the lockers provided do not lock. When we were in the pool we decided to cut our swim short after bits of the ceiling began to drop into the pool. The sauna and steam room were fine. If you want to use the bar late in the evening you have to have a card on file so do ask to do this at check in and safe yourself the faff we went through. On the topic of the bar they were out of drinks most of the weekend, limited selection. The breakfast provided redeemed this hotel, the food available was well cooked and there was a nice selection.
