We stayed for one night to explore the local area before continuing on our little road trip. We arrived slightly early but was given some delicious homemade lemonade downstairs whilst we waited.

We stayed in the Duke room which was very, very lovely! The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was equally lovely with good water pressure. As the hotel has only been open just over a month everything is pristine too.

We had a drink downstairs after we’d been out for dinner, we had the place to ourselves and they had a lovely selection of wine.

Breakfast was delicious the next morning, homemade granola with fruit and yogurt, pastries, sourdough and fab coffee.

Would happily stay again, however, next time I’d ask for one of the rooms on the top floor as the floors are quite creaky (obviously not the owners fault and expected in a building of that age) but the people in the room above us were walking around until the small hours so it kept us up.

Wishing the owners every success and hopefully we’ll be back one day in the not too distant future.

My partner & i stayed here for 2 nights Friday & Saturday, for my birthday weekend in Duchess room. Unfortunately we wanted to see the castle, but it was closed, never mind, we will have to do that in the spring. This boutique hotel has 4 rooms and is spotlessly clean. The hotel is modern & quirky, wilth beautiful decor and homely touches, like lots of hanging plants around.
The hotel is also a wine bar and offers a good selection of wines & cheeses.
Our room was clean & bright and the bed was exceptionally comfy, with super bedding. Lovely little shower room, clean, soft, fluffy towels. The owners are just SO welcoming & friendly. A husband & wife team, Judith & Meinte, (with the help of another lovely lady we met at breakfast). Breakfast was amazing. We were offered warm croissants filled with cheese & ham - amazing. Also sour dough toast, lovely coffee's & teas. You can help yourself to fruit, cereals, jams, eggs etc. What also made it, was the lovely home made butter Judith makes and Meinte makes his own peanut butter, yummy! The hotel is situated right in the High Street, near the castle gate entrance. There is free parking 2-3 minutes walk away, by the castle or you can pay in the car parks at the back street. Arundel has plenty of pubs/bars & restaurants, but book as we forgot & couldn't get into the Chinese or Thai restaurants.
I would have no doubt, whatsoever recommending this beautiful little hotel to anyone looking for a clean & friendly place to stay when visiting Arundel. We would most certainly book again for an overnight stay when we come back to visit the castle next year. Thank you Judith & Meinte, we wish you both all the best, you made our stay special.

House Arundel is spotlessly clean and full of lovely, quickly vintage furniture and accessories. Judith is lovely! Super friendly and welcoming, meeting us at check-in to show us around and taking care of us at breakfast.

We stayed just one night in ‘The Duke’ (we wish we’d stayed longer!) which had a fabulous super king size bed and adjoining bathroom, albeit without a bath, but a large, spacious shower and the softest, fluffiest towels 😍

The continental breakfast was great; yoghurt, fruit, granola, jams etc. which you can help yourself to, and warm cheese and ham croissants are also on offer (I recommend trying, they are delicious!), as well as tasty coffee in vintage china.

We will definitely come back to stay, and next time we’ll try over the weekend to try the wine bar!

Parking: You can find free overnight parking just down the road alongside Arundel castle

We had a wonderful stay at House Arundel. The room was beautiful and very comfortable and clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the host and they accommodated my gluten free needs and was very kind to our dog. The breakfast was fabulous with yoghurt, granola and fruit together with pastries and lovely bread with condiments. We didn’t want to leave and we will be back.

We stayed two nights to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived until we departed Judith was the perfect host. As I said to her, our visit was like staying with friends. She and her husband and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. Nothing was too much trouble, such as giving such manic tea drinkers a teapot in our room - without even asking for it! We stayed in the Duke - fabulous, comfy bed and wonderful shower rainforest shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was just what we wanted and the hot croissants with ham and cheese filled us up so we could miss out on lunch, leaving us more time for sight seeing in the area! On our last night, we had a drink in the sitting area. It was just like having a drink in someone's house - so warm and relaxing. Judith has brilliant taste in furnishings and decor. I can't recommend House Arundel highly enough. We can't wait to come back.

We stayed and ate in the evening with them. Our room was beautiful, lovely linen, and towels a really calm space! Yes it is in the centre of Arundel but we were surprised by how little we could hear traffic. We had a cheeseboard and beautiful salami’s beautifully served, we were told where everything was from, lovely wines to choose from, they certainly exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back, run by a really lovely couple. Breakfast was continental but again locally sourced and first class

Excellent, newly refurbished and spotlessly clean. Lovely room and superb continental breakfast. Very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Location is right in the middle of Arundel and parking on street/car parks were easy to find.

My wife and I stayed for a night away in the first weekend of July. We were given an extremely warm and friendly greeting by the owners upon arrival and were able to check in slightly early.

Everything about this place is 5 stars. The room was absolutely lovely, we stayed in their new Queen room. Lovely split floor room, King bed, tea and coffee making facilities, tv you can watch from bed and downstairs a lovely, spacious shower with great pressure.

In the morning we had a lovely continental breakfast, with freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit, meats, cheese etc whilst also offering a couple of cooked options.

All in all, the facilities are fantastic, but without a doubt what makes this for me are the owners. Clearly genuinely nice people, that are interested in you and want you to have the best stay you possibly can. The female owner took the time to sit down with my wife and I upon our arrival and showed us a map of Arundel whilst talking through recommendations for walks, food and drinks etc. They are the perfect balance of friendly, whilst not being intrusive.

Arundel is a lovely little town, we will certainly be back and when we do we will be staying at House Arundel.

If debating whether or not to book, trust me, book this place, it’ll be the right decision.

What a beautiful place! My family and I stayed here last weekend whilst we were visiting Goodwood.

The self-check-in instructions were simple and easy to follow, allowing us to gain access to b&b stress free, considering we had arrived late at night after a 5 hour drive! The room was decorated to a very high standard with tasteful furnishings and everything you needed for a hot drink and chocolates each day too.

The bed was lovely and comfortable and although we were at the front of the building, there was little road noise, meaning we all slept very well.

Judith was a fabulous host, who was very welcoming and attentive. I enjoyed our conversations both mornings.

Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety to choose, from fruit/yoghurts/fresh pastries and cooked to order eggs. Judith also made me a delicious oat milk latte!

Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back next year!

Thank you!
