Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Travelodge Arundel Fontwell garners praise for its exceptional service, with a staff that's always willing to go the extra mile, contributing to the hotel's hospitable atmosphere. The rooms are lauded for their cleanliness and comfort, though opinions vary on decor and noise levels.
It's favored for its prime location and the overall value it offers, providing tidy accommodations without breaking the bank. While the amenities meet the needs of most guests, a few note they are basic.

Detailed Reviews
We were sent an email to say the curtains will be closed, the windows will be open and the fan will be on. I sent email to request a room on the front of the building and we had that. Thank you for that and for our room being nice and cool when we arrived on the Friday. We enjoyed our stay and going back in October. My mum and I.

A very warm welcome from Emma after a long drive from South Wales. Great customer service with a friendly approach. Emma provided an iron and ironing board upon request and details of all the local amenities and areas to visit. This particular Travelodge is ideally located just off the roundabout by Fontwell Racecoure. Highly recommend as very reasonably priced too. Thank you Emma.

I have stayed at a number of Travelodge hotels and have always found them to be convenient and good value. However, Arundel Fontwell really exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. Whoever had prepared the room had really made an effort, even down to small details like perfectly lining up the four cups! We had a very comfortable night and will definitely be using this hotel again.

This trip was booked through my work company so wasn’t sure what to expect, when looking at the price of the rooms i was worried it wouldn’t be the best. But i can now say that my expectations where completely wrong, the rooms where lovely, clean, tidy and the bedding smelt fresh. It was clear to me that the housekeeping team take pride in their jobs and they couldn’t have done better with preparing my room for me. When going on business trips i don’t usually expect much from hotels as they are usually one night stopovers so not anything special but the staff at travellodge were all friendly and welcoming making my stay enjoyable. greeting with smiles really makes the difference, best experience i’ve had at a hotel.

You generally buy a certain degree of certainty with Trvaelodge and this met expectations. Only uncertainty you get is whether there is going to be a lot of noise/disturbance from other guests. There was none. This was also the cheapest option I could find to stay in the locality of Worthing at a peak weekend, so as far as I am concerned this was the best value for money for someone who is only really looking for a good night's sleep and a clean and functional bathroom. The bed was nice.

Our first Travelodge experience and quite positive. It was good value, considering the spacious room, basic needs met and, importantly, being allowed to take our Bernese Mountain Dog. The lady on Reception at check-in was very friendly and helpful. She warmly welcomed us and the dog, which was great. When I asked if we could have a room on the non-road side of the hotel, she explained that they had certain rooms for guests with dogs and the road noise shouldn't be too bad, but to let her know if it was a problem and she'd try and find a better one. It wasn't too bad with the windows shut, but did get a bit noisy when we opened the window but not bad enough for us to change rooms. On the whole, things were cleaner than I expected, although there was a faint whiff somewhere that I couldn't pinpoint where I suspected a previous occupant may have cocked a leg. There was a small stain on the wall by the heater. Bed linen, towels, bathroom, windows and surfaces were all perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a tiny bit of superficial damage at the bottom of one of the bathroom walls but given all the plus points and general value for money, we were very happy with the room and so happy to be able to have our dog with us.
The car park was well - lit in places but the bright lights cast deep shadows on the other parts and the surrounding shrubbery made me feel a bit insecure but we didn't see any signs of trouble and didn't experience any ourselves.
There was plenty of choice as far as food was concerned, from nearby outlets and pubs.
We'll be happy to go again.

Booked this hotel as a cheap option whilst visiting friends in the area, great value for money definitely would recommend and stay again. Beds were comfortable, staff were all friendly and happy to help. The room was clean, can’t fault it. Overall an amazing hotel especially when on a budget. Value for money is 10/10.

It seems the hotel only employs robo vacuum cleaners. The room door was wedged open and a pair of i-vac were busy spinning when we checked in (after 9pm). Shower gel dispenser was empty. The room kettle had seen better days.

Hotels in Chichester had all put their prices up by 100% to exploit parents etc wanting to stay for the graduations. We chose this Travelodge because they had maintained their usual pricing. Six miles from Chichester. Rooms very clean; shower good. Excellent service from the man on reception. Parking fine. NB this is Arundel Fontwell. Fontwell Park is at the entrance to the race course.
