Stayed at The St Marys Gate Inn for a couple nights with a couple friends, one thing i have to say is WOW! From the staff to the food, it was amazing, food came out really quickly and was piping hot, i had the beer battered cod burger. You could tell it was all house made, it was delicious! Thank you to Amber and Maizie who made our experience in Arundel 10/10 I would definitely stay and eat there again!

Lovely 2 day stay A very warm and welcoming entrance got shown to are room, nice double bed and bathroom with a nice HOT shower. The landlady was amazing as we could not get a taxi to the wedding she offered to take us . And we can’t thank them enough for the amazing service and friendly out come. Defo stay at the st Mary’s pub inn lovely staff great food great rooms .

Excellent welcome, good room. Everything we needed for the night. Excellent service for meals too. Friendliest staff. Well worth staying here. The only negative was the shower, but we were told all the rooms are being upgraded. Think Amber was who looked after us mostly. She was excellent. Had dinner and breakfast here, lovely food, Baked Cod in lemon butter, new potatoes and salad. I asked for more salad instead of potatoes and was offered prawns which was a lovely alternative. Many thanks.

We revisited St Mary's Gate and were very pleasantly surprised. It is under new ownership and they could not be nicer and more helpful. The standard of food was amazing, in fact it was so good that we had all our meals at the pub. The atmosphere in the pub is friendly and welcoming.

After visiting Arundel on previous occasions this is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and we will definitely be back. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Sam and her team and shown around. Room was lovely and bed comfortable as was the adjacent off road parking. We ate in on two evenings and the menu is varied and the food is very good along with the excellent breakfast. Thanks again to Sam and Kelly, thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Some members of staff were unfriendly. We mentioned that we wanted to eat and we’re told it would be a long wait as there was a large group in. We were told we would be brought a menu but we’re completely ignored whilst any locals were made a fuss of. I would definitely avoid this place.

Hot hot hot. The steak and ale pie not only came with a generous helping of fresh vegetables and gravy but was so hot that we could only sit and breathe in the delicious aroma for five minutes. Attentive,cheerful staff and great beers make this inn a good place to lunch after a visit to Arundel castle. Prices are very reasonable,too.

We only popped in for a drink as it's next door to the Cathedral. Very pleasant inside, with plenty of staff. think it's under new ownership. Badgers Ales and leaning towards a gastro pub with guest rooms and a car park.

My wife and I popped in for coffee an hour before a concert. Our original plan was tk have a pizza afterwards, but the pub had such a welcoming atmosphere that we changed our plans and had a delicious homemade sandwich in the St Mary’s Gate Inn, a decision we did not regret. Lively staff, homely decor and a log fire too. 10 out of 10

So apparently this pub is due to change hands. Whoever owns it now should be ashamed of themselves. Took full price and couldn’t provide what was advertised. The management had called in staff that hadn’t worked there for months to try to cover Today the breakfast was a shambles. One young lady trying to deal with 11 guests, until someone else was called in to cook. Wish new owners all the luck in the world as the current ones are ruining your future. Feel as though we’ve been robbed.
