Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Usually Premier Inns are reliable. Not this one. Smelly room with black mould in the bathroom. Tired decor inside and out. The attached pub was a mess, with tacky, sticky carpets like some student nightclub, slow service despite some friendly staff. This property needs some investment in decor and cleaning before you should contemplate staying there.

We stayed for one night. Everything was perfect from start to finish. All Premier Inn and restaurant staff were lovely, polite and helpful.. Highly recommend this hotel for a base to explore the area. Close to Arundel station and historic town. Hope to visit Arundel castle on our next visit Hope to visit again in the near future.

Great place to stay, just off main roads and access to the South Coast, lovely countryside and views, and the work we were there to do! It doesn't look much from the outside, but inside you have the usual Premier Inn decor, friendliness and comfort.

Have left it this long to write review. Waiting for reply from Premier Inn. We phoned on the afternoon of our stay. To let them know we would be arriving very late. There was no mention of the overnight road closure. Making it impossible to access the hotel. When we tried to get to the hotel at 11.30pm the road was completely shut with what looked like resurfacing taking place. Not knowing the area we tried coming in from the other end. Road closed off there too. We had to drive into beginning of road works to ask how to get to hotel. They gave us directions and told us that Premier inn had been informed and had been going on for two nights previously and set to last for 7 days. The road to hotel was a Single lane track. The response from Premier Inn was a sorry we didn't know road works would be taking place. What a lie. It had happened the previous two nights. So why didn't they tell us when we phoned in the afternoon that there could be overnight road closure. All in all, it seems to me. That Premier Inn once they have your money couldn't care less about their clients. Please be aware.

We travelled for south wales which took us nearly 4 hours (as expected) but to be met with a traffic diversion at the near entrance to the hotel which took us an hour and 15 mins to negotiate to the hotel through nearly 5 miles of single lane farm tracks in order to get us to our destination. This was aggravated by the fact that this hour and 15 minute diversion caused us not to get to the hotel until 22:15 hours in the night. I had two children in the car one of which is only 5. The single lanes tracks were dangerously unlit and in the worst possible condition. It was a horrendous journey. This was frustrating and could have been avoided if we had been called by reception to warn us so we could have made a different reservation. If this wasn’t bad enough we were then given a room (number 3) directly outside the road works which went on until 0200 hours in the morning. I have various recordings which were so loud we simply could not sleep. As a lasting memory at last nights stay I slept in a put up bed which was either wet from urine or i was told by staff that the bed was more than likely ‘damp’ as it was by the window rather than Wet..!! Seriously the worst ever hotel experience of our lives. Please can you furnish us with a full refund and compensation as our stay has destroyed our loyalty in Premier Inn. I have forwarded one of the videos of the road works we were presented with outside our window. I have plenty others and photos should you need more. I have tried to contact the number given to me by the receptionist today as she told me she can’t issue refunds but even that number does not ring through. Utterly unacceptable.

Good no frills clean place to put down your head. It’s about 5 minutes drive into Arundel town - I expect you could walk into town but it was too cold for us. Staff were warm and welcoming at the reception. They were also helpful and advised that it was best to be back before the road was closed for works from 8pm which is directly outside the hotel towards Arundel. Room was nice and clean, towels provided and Baylis toiletries for hand wash and shower gel. Int he room is a hair dryer and also a kettle to make tea and coffee. It was a bit cold in the room for the kids so we did put up the heating a little - warms up very quickly and we had to open the window to cool it down. Rooms do not have a cooling functionality. We were on the ground floor in a family room and giving it 4/5 as we could hear people in the morning walking around above us. We were ok with it at that point as we were awake already but if you’re a light sleeper might be an issue. There is a Beefeater adjacent to the building but we didn’t eat there. Checkout was easy - just drop key off in a drop box at reception. I would stay here again and would recommend it as a nice clean play to stay but I’m not unsure if I would stay during the Summer.

Friendly and very helpful staff. The breakfast is not buffet style. Had to wait ages for my full English didn't bother ordering the porridge as this would have taken too long to wait, need more staff for weekend service. Breakfast arrived swimming in fat and overbaked, obviously the food was sitting around in a hot oven. The lovely lady on reception asked me how my stay was going, I mentioned the abysmal breakfast, she arranged for a freebee for the following morning. Building looks in need of a lick of paint but overall the location is excellent for Arundel town and station.

We like the premier Inn because we know what we'll get, a warm comfortable and clean room and that's exactly what we got. The premier Inn experience is always enhanced by the staff who were cheerful and friendly at all times 😄. Even the poor guy that had to deal with the fire alarm going off at approx 5:45am, he dashed about sorting the issue and got us back to our rooms quickly, don't know his name but well done young man and thank you.

Plenty of Hotels to stay in but decided to stay at Premier as you have a good idea of what you're going to get. The room was basic, as expected, and although we arrived earlier than expected, the lady on reception ( Sorry, I can't remember her name ) was super helpful in arranged an early check-in for us and the cleaners had done a fantastic job in turning the room around ensuring everything was clean. The Beefeater restaurant next door had a good selection, and the breakfast was the best I've had!! Staff at the restaurant were also very helpful, especially Frankie, who went out of her way for us with bookings and general service. Our warmest thanks to the staff at Premier and the restaurant for looking after us. G Lowe

Comfortable and clean bedroom, but premier inn in general not as good as it used to be, has become more budget, limited tea bags/coffee OK you can top up from reception but always convenient, loo roll from dispenser, just small things but not premier. Breakfast was good, all staff helpful. From the outside, this inn is looking a bit tatty, walls needing a repaint.
