Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Arden House B&B, Arundel while on a cycling holiday. The room was beautiful, light, comfortable and clean. A real home from home feel to the whole place thanks to owner and extraordinary home maker and chef Lucie. I can’t recommend this establishment high enough. Fabulous location surrounded by some lovely restaurants, antique shops and a castle to top it off. Thank you Lucie, I will return soon. Mark

I spent three nights at Arden House with five complete strangers on an organised trip to ride the South Downs Way! I was the only girl so Lucie was a welcome face when I was a bit apprehensive about the weekend. The home comforts instantly made me feel better after a long hard cycle and the little personal touches were really lovely. Bathrobe and slippers made it feel luxurious. The bed was so comfortable. Lucie’s famous Breakfast Burrito was recreated on my return home..what a great idea! Her tasty homemade cakes were so appreciated on our 100 mile trip! Would thoroughly recommend for a stay in Arundel as so close to good restaurants and the castle.

Thank you Lucie for all the little touches in our room and for being so helpful and accommodating. Our room was lovely, bright and spacious. Thanks also for accommodating our need for an early start on our next leg as we walked the South Downs Way. The homemade cake we took for lunch was delicious. The breakfast was the first time we were offered natural yoghurt- all the other places we stayed seemed to think everyone would want cooked breakfast or if they didn’t would be happy with cornflakes! And as for Lucie’s mum’s marvellous marmalade - just give me a jar and a spoon!!!

Excellent stay at Arden House this weekend. Lucie is a friendly, welcoming host and responded to my emails and queries super quickly. The location is great, less than 5 minutes to the castle and high street. The train station is also a very short walk Breakfast was excellent - a highlight of the stay. Several healthy and full English options, fresh and varied. All served by Lucie, who manages to combine being friendly with being efficient and giving every attention to detail. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed overnight on 28th May as we had a wedding to go to and decided to spend the night. We coudln't have made a better choice than Arden House, the B&B run by Lucie & Iain was right in centre of Arundel, has some on-site parking, very clean and tidy with great sized rooms (even slippers and a chocolate on arrival). A very comfy stay and a great breakfast cooked by the owner on the Monday. Highly recommnend to anyone looking to stay in Arundel and we'll certainly stay again if we are in the area. Darrell & Anne

Had a good stay at Arden House B&B! Overall good, but lots of cobwebs and stains on roof and walls. Good breakfast and parking space. Had room 7 that’s need a little TLC. The staff was friendly, but do not live at the house. Self check in, no problem! Nice welcome card in room.

Ideal location to visit Arundel, the surrounding area and as a base to explore the South Downs Way. The room was well appointed and comfortable - home from home to relax after a day exploring. Excellent breakfast options and plenty of establishments in Arundel for lunch or evening meal. Lucie gave a friendly welcome on arrival and it only got better from there. Highly recommended.
