One is always torn between saying a place is wonderful and not wanting it to become overbooked! But this B and B is perfect. Clean and comfortable bedroom, great modern bathroom, great hosts and a breakfast that was perfection. The farm is in the middle of wonderful countryside and near to Chichester and its wonderful theatre. This is how B and B should be.

We stayed two nights at Crows Hall Farm over the bank holiday weekend and, as seasoned bed & breakfasters, cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. Our room was in the 16th century side of the farmhouse, with exclusive use of a lounge (with a wood burner which would be a great feature in winter). Our bathroom was the size of another bedroom (which it used to be) and had a bath as well as a huge shower. This level of accommodation in a hotel would be eye-wateringly expensive, but Crows Hall Farm is very reasonably priced indeed and represents great value for money. The huge garden and landscape surrounding the farmhouse provides an idyllic rural setting, and visitors are free to roam hundreds of acres of the working farm. Amanda was the perfect hostess, treating us like family friends and providing invaluable tips for house-hunting in the South Downs. Her cooked breakfasts use locally sourced ingredients and are delicious. The website is beautifully laid out and very informative, including recommendations for local pubs. We had a great experience at the one we tried, the White Horse pub at Chilgrove, just a short drive away. Needless to say, we’ll be returning to Crows Hall Farm!…

All previous reviews (except the bogus one by the person who had never stayed there) echo how we felt during our 4 night stay at Crows Hall. It was just perfect - the room and bathroom, the breakfast, gorgeous garden - and particularly the welcome from the host Amanda. She was so helpful, always cheery and ready to make a cup of tea, nothing was too much trouble. It was a wonderful stay.

We don't recommend this place. Dirty, no charm, owner not friendly. Just run! Amanda is not sympathic at all and didn't helped about anything. 3 nights there was a nightmare The area is nice and relaxing... That's all!

Fabulous B&B. The first B… bed. So comfy, pillows and bed linen we wanted to take home. And the choice of two bedrooms in our own wing of the farmhouse. The second B… breakfast. So tasty. Berries, yoghurt, muesli, granola followed by full English cooked to perfection. Try the scrambled eggs, amazing and provided by CrOws Hall’s own chucks. What else… Fabulous bathroom. The most welcoming host, Amanda, full of information and enthusiastic about everything she does. The cutest dog, Douglas. Lovely location for walks and access to the coast and Chichester. Finally, great value for money. Loved it!

We spent a fantastic 4 nights at the end of June in this beautifully kept historic old farmhouse. With a warm welcome from owner Amanda on arrival, nothing was ever too much trouble. We had part of the wing of the farmhouse to ourselves which was perfect. It gave us enough privacy and space but with knowledge that Amanda was close by for advice on where the best pubs for food were, which footpaths to take and what places not to miss. Two pretty double bedrooms to choose from, the one with a view of the well kept flower filled garden was my favourite. Spot woodpeckers on the feeders and if you are lucky you might even hear a cuckoo like us! Mattresses and pillows were so comfortable, bed linen crisp and fresh. The bathroom with its huge rainfall shower, copious fluffy white towels and french shower gels and soap was spotlessly clean. Breakfasts in the little front kitchen are huge Aga Full English affairs, although the bagels and fresh berries were a hit with our girls. The table is laid with the prettiest china and table linen. This is a great place from which to explore the South Downs, Kingley Vale with its ancient yew trees is within walking distance. There are many footpaths close by that take in stunning views and scenery as well as pretty Sussex Villages such as Bosham. Chichester, Arundel and Brighton are all within reach. Amanda was the most amazing host and even put up with our loopy wire hair vizsla dog! We loved Crows Hall Farm and fell in love with the South Downs. We will definitely be back to stay again. We couldn't recommend Crows Hall Farm enough!…

Delightful farm house, generous hosts, comfortable beds, elegant bathroom with huge shower, tasty breakfast. Very close to Chichester but very quiet. Highly recommended for theatre trips or walking holidays. Arundel and Boshum also very close by. The White Horse offers very good food and is a short drive

Home from home (but oh so much better...!). A lovely large luxurious bathroom with ceiling mounted monsoon shower, freestanding claw foot bath and 4 poster bed with pillowy pristine white sheets and duvet. Stylish English rose with a modern edge, a Flamingo papered feature wall in the bathroom and plentiful compagnie de Provence wild rose bathroom products. The dogs and I had a wonderful stay. You are in a side part of the house, there is a stone flagged downstairs with wood burner and a couple of sofas. You take your breakfast at the table in this room. Upstairs there are 2 rooms with a shared bathroom. Both are lovely, beautifully clean and airy with tall majestic beds. Amanda and Peter are really friendly and welcoming, they have dogs too so only welcome well socialised and friendly canine visitors. There is an easy grassy area outside to take them and lots of walking nearby for longer forays. For evening meal there are two fabulous pubs within a few minutes drive. The White Horse in Chilgrove and the Earl of March, Lavant. Both pubs are excellent, although booking is required as they are understandably popular (and welcome dogs in the bar area). Breakfast was lovely, fat blueberries and sweet fresh strawberries with yoghurt. A cafetière of good coffee, juice, toast and preserves with a cracking full English to top it off. Happiness. We will definitely be back for a pamper again! …
