We held our wedding here a few days ago, so you can imagine how big a deal this was for us and could possibly be some of the toughest critics you could have reviewing your venue. What can we say! The whole day totally far surpassed anything we had hoped it would be. The whole staff made our day wonderful,... More

We stayed here over the last weekend, the newly refurbished bar/restaurant were very nice. The staff were excellent , all very professional and nothing was too much trouble. The room (superior) was very comfortable a bit hot, but we just turned the radiator off at night. Food was very good, a bit to many fish dishes for my liking, but... More

Have just attended a relatively small family wedding celebration at the Chichester Harbour Hotel. The wedding was well organised by the wedding planner and the staff who were serving throughout the day were wonderful and always went 'the extra mile' to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great - many congratulations to the chef and his... More

We spent two weekend nights here. The hotel is an elegant Georgian building (the home of one of Nelson's admirals). It's very central, a few minutes walk from most sights and restaurants. Our 2nd floor room was small but comfortable. There were some alterations going on, so no bar; we had a good dinner here and particularly enjoyed breakfast.

Stayed in the small cottage out the back. Very cute and quiet . Two rooms downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs all very nicely decorated. Need to be reasonably agile to negotiate the steep staircase. Staff were great at breakfast and dinner was good. Hotel still under renovation so should improve more over the next week when they hope... More

We stayed at the Chichester Harbour Hotel as part of a party of eight from the 18th - 20th November. The Hotel is obviously coming to the end of some extensive renovations, and although not all areas are open the staff did all in their power to ensure that our stay was as good as it could be. Breakfast was... More

A very disappointing pre theatre lunch! We arrived on time at 1230, but hadn't realised the extent of the renovations, and didn't like what they'd done to the restaurant, but this is a personal observation. However the service was extremely slow, we had one starter which arrived quickly and was excellent. It took a further 45-55 minutes for the next... More

Felt very let down by our stay, which was booked as a special birthday treat. Plus points. Large comfy room. Nice bed and decent pillows. Nespresso machine was a nice extra (although milk frother very smelly) . Good location for visiting the town centre, cathedral, theatre etc. On site car park meant we didnt need to walk too far with... More

Having had a serious accident earlier this year, my husband brought me to The Ship for a short break where we had stayed before. We were surprised to find a major renovation programme underway, which very surprisingly we had not been informed of, and subsequently we were told it was not company policy to advise guests of the situation. On... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel (formerly The Ship Hotel) in Chichester earlier this year and had quite a mixed experience. However, we decided to give it another chance and stayed there for two nights while we visited the Festival Theatre. They were rebuilding the bar at the time so the place was a little chaotic, but one... More
