Booked Clay Pigeon shoot through Fox Goes Free. Excellent package, breakfast rolls, 50 clay pigeon shoot and dinner back at the pub. It was a good day out. 1st time shoot for me and really enjoyed it, will definitely go back.

Now l appreciate that most chefs secretly hate vegetarians, but when the only veggie main course is a mushroom risotto, they may as well have a sign on the door saying "vegetarians not welcome". Having said that, we managed with two starters (baked Camembert and stuffed portobello mushroom) and found the pub to be excellent, very friendly, welcoming and in...

We booked a room for two nights on 02.01.16 for 2 nights in August 2017 for our daughter's wedding at a price of £190 and paid a deposit of £95. We booked on line and received a confirmation. The wedding is at Upwaltham Barnes and I had spent a long time researching, where to stay for this very special occasion....

Similar to all local businesses we reserve rooms for Glorious Goodwood using the last Tuesday in July as the start date. This is the normal situation each and every year, however 4 days after the 2016 event; new dates were published and confirmed for 2017 being 1 week later versus the previous year. This was unexpected as it is over...

We turned up to the pub after a long walk in the South Downs wearing our walking gear and we were made to be very welcome there. We stayed for several hours enjoying some drinks and food and playing scrabble. It's a very pleasant pub to hang out in.

Local ale is bloody lovely and the food was great. Really nice country pub. Nice big fire and friendly service from all the staff. My girlfriend said it's the best pie she had ever eaten so can't say much more than that

We went for 3 courses as the food looked so good. My starter was the delicate, yet tasty scallops . I chose the steak for the main course. It was disappointingly grisly, so without hesitation they replaced it with the tender & flavoursome pork loin, plus all new veg too. We had tea and a snippet of bread & butter...

We phoned up on a whim an hour beforehand and they squeezed us in. Booking recommended as it was certainly busy when we arrived. Can't fault the food, it was very tasty & hot which I think is important. My only quibble was the waitress wasn't the friendliest, she made no attempt to make any conversation other than our order,...

We recently booked for an overnight stay in the B&B and a Sunday lunch in the pub with friends the following day. Our room had a lot of character and was warm and cosy on a very cold weekend! The cooked breakfast was very good, the cereals didn't look overly exciting but I wanted cooked anyway. Help yourself to filter...

First visit, a lovely country pub with woodfires burning in open grates, welcoming staff and great food! Our room was very comfortable, nicely presented and with good-sized ensuite. Good breakfast. Would come back again and would recommend this lovely place. Ideal for Goodwood.
