Under new management. We are an 11 bedroom hotel with a restaurant and 2 bar lounges. We are on the very outskirts of Haworth, the home of the Brontes. We serve local cask ales and home cooked food everyday. We have a seniors menu available daily, quiz night on a Tuesday. We have an early bird menu on Wednesdays from 2.30pm until 5.30pm and will be doing world food nights on Saturday from November. Exciting times ahead for the Bronte and all we will have to offer in these uncertain times.

We hadn't been to the Brontë hotel post COVID but were pleasantly surprised following it's refurbishment. There is a bar for serious drinkers, pool players, and dog walkers and a separate bar dining room for more moderate drinkers and diners. We went in early Sunday lunchtime and although a number of tables were reserved there were still plenty spare. The cask ales were well kept local brews and despite some tempting items on the menu we opted for beef and pork roasts. When it arrived we were amazed at the Yorkshire puddings . the variety of the well cooked vegetables and the meat itself . The main would have been enough in itself but we were tempted by the sticky toffee pudding which was lovely and light.
We found the decor tasteful and relaxing - the adhesive blue carpet has gone, replaced by wooden flooring and the pictures of the locality are properly displayed. The refurbished toilets were beautifully clean.
If you fancy a change from the honey pots of Haworth this could be the place for you.

Booked a 5 night stay here (Mon-Fri) following them re opening from a refurbishment of the downstairs, the rooms have not been done as of yet, but I was told they plan to do them one by one in the coming months. The downstairs is all brand new, done to a really high standard and was constantly busy for meals day and night. Staff are really pleasant, cant do enough for you.
The rooms as previously mentioned haven't been done, and while slightly dated are clean and very comfortable, the bathrooms are again clean and functional. Thought the shower was really good. If they do the rooms anywhere near as well as they've done the pub restaurant this will be the best place to stay in Haworth without doubt.
The breakfast I can most def say is THE BEST in Haworth, no where can touch it. Fresh, cooked to order and a really good portion, decent coffee as well, you will not find a better breakfast. end of.

Also another big plus for Haworth is the large free car park, no struggling to get parked

Loved my stay, already booked in for later this year. Can't wait to see what they do with with the rooms.

Our first visit after the renovation was disappointing. We had a reservation in the smaller room as we had a dog with us, that has always been fine previously.

Having taken one look in the packed room which resembled a creche/sports bar we asked to be seated in the main room. This wasn’t possible so we left.

The room we were booked in was full of mainly young men watching football and playing pool. I’ve never seen the place so busy. The room smelt like the 30 or so people in there had been there for a weekend bender. We didn’t see a table set for our reservation, but all tables appeared to be in use. Not somewhere we wanted to have a relaxing meal.

Recently refurbished and a new owner. Decor lovely.
Went at lunchtime, all elderly people in there, felt like a nursing home dining room. No atmosphere today, might be totally different in on a weekend when younger ones will go in. Dogs only allowed in the games room so that’s a negative as we had ideas of walking our dog and calling in.
Food we had Nacho’s they were nice then fish and chips . The fish was awful, heavy greasy batter so greasy . Chips were nice. I left most of my fish it was yellow!
All in all, we won’t be going back. Total with a shared Nacho starter and fish and chips twice, two pints and two diet cokes £49
Staff pleasant and attentive.

The food is excellent but the hospitality is abysmal.

Recent examples:

I visited with a number of disabled people. The staff showed another party (a family) to the table next to us but after a few moments, during which they all looked at us, suggested they might prefer another table which they moved to.

As soon as one of the party I was with had finished their meals staff were taking the plate away. We felt extremely unwelcome and paid and left straight away (which was obviously what was wanted).

I was having lunch with a friend There was an elderly man at a separate table having a meal. He had finished his meal and staff approached him asking if he wanted anything else. He said no thank you. Staff asked him if he wanted another drink. He said no. Staff said 'So you don't want anything else then!' The man paid and left immediately. That lunch out might have been the highlight of his week...

One of the staff who works behind the bar seems very nervous and uneasy in a customer facing job.

The majority of staff and ESPECIALLY the owner/manager need at least basic training in hospitality - particularly in making their customers feel valued and welcome.

I won't be visiting again nor will I recommend it.

After reading the reviews and recent refurb as a family we decided to visit. The refurb looks okay if you like working mens clubs decor. The pub lacks warmth and maybe a women's touch. The food was underwhelming. Garlic mushrooms bland and gloopy on either undercooked baguette or the bread was stale. Steak pie had been kept under the warmer for far too long so was very dry and chips overdone. Yorkshire pudding wrap was just brown food on a plate no salad or vegetable garnish with Bisto gravy at best. All party members agreed it wasn't worth a second visit unfortunately. Plus points staff very friendly. !!! Oh and garlic bread was nice !!

The food here was superb. We had the steak, a lasagna and veggie burger. All were delicious. The portion sizes were incredibly great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return and would highly recommend The Bronze.

We had the pleasure of attending a family getogether at The Bronte, Lees Lane Haworth, on Saturday, 26th November '22
Although the Xmas menu was not due to be available until the following Monday, we were told they would start it early for our getogether.
What can I say, each and everyone of the 22 of us enjoyed, every mouthful, from starter to dessert. Delicious!
There was a good selection for each of the 3 courses, and our order - was very varied.
There was not one complaint.
The seating arrangement was perfectly set out for our party. The staff were extremely polite and attentive, even though they were rushed off their feet.
Thank you so much James, Nicola, Harry and staff you made our day very special - for each and every one of us.
Thank you from
Julie N Mick
PS, we will be back x

Advertise and sell a ticket only entry New Year’s party.

Arrive, nobody checking tickets. Meaning half the people in there had no tickets meaning everyone who had actually paid for them being absolutely robbed as they didn’t mean anything. Greed.

New Year’s Eve. Busiest night of the year, and didn’t bother hiring security.. meaning non stop fights in the car park all night resulting in stopping serving at 11.am. For a paid entry New Year’s Eve party. An absolute shambles of an evening. Do better. Feel robbed
