Booked here as an impromptu night away following other travel plans to go south falling through.

Staff were friendly, polite & accommodating throughout - local family run pub.

Room was spacious and clean, though the additional cushions on bed didnt feel fresh (as imagine they just are put back on daily).
It’s a little old fashioned looking (room/decor/furniture) and bathroom could do with modernising but it was functional. We had hot showers & what we needed.
Grateful for bottled water in room as was a red hot day.

The pool was great, lovely little area. Easy to book on a form at reception for half hour slots. There’s a lounge off the pool area for general seating in (no tele) but has some snacks on table (choc bars and mints type thing) for £1 each which is a nice touch as not really any local snacks. Unfortunately water machine in there wasn’t on/working but didn’t matter.

They have a shower & drying room too if needed for muddy wet walking gear or swim stuff which is useful as otherwise not easy to put those in your bedroom!

Breakfast was delicious! Could tell it was freshly cooked & high quality meat products.
Service there great too, even the young lad who brought us our toast was friendly & polite 😃

Would return if needed a room in the area - great base to explore the Yorkshire region.

Lovely location, easy to find with the aid of a sat-nav and works brilliantly with the Dog & Gun Country Pub next door for amazingly, wonderful food.

We arrived after the housekeeper had left so collected the key from the pub. The building is easy to navigate, well lit and secure. The room and bathroom were spotless and, despite looking over a road was extremely quiet. We barely heard a car during our entire stay.

We weren’t able to use the swimming pool owing to our schedule but it looked lovely and the delightful housekeeper popped up a couple of times to check that we were happy and didn’t need anything.

We’d thoroughly recommend this place and would be happy visit again.

We stayed in Leeming Wells as a base so we could explore the surrounding areas, including Skipton, Bolton Abbey and Keighley etc. We found our rooms to be bright, very warm, comfortable and adequately equipped with kettle, TV and hairdryer etc everyone comes to expect.

Although the wife found the bed a tad on the hard side, I had no problem - so down to personal preference as always! The room was spotlessly clean and there were plenty of towels and some lovely soaps and shampoos in the bathroom, which also had a superb shower. Very refreshing!

We took advantage of the pool (which you need to book a time slot for) and it was great. Just the thing after a long day walking and exploring. Again, spotlessly clean and a very relaxing area with views across the hills.

We drank and ate at the Dog & Gun pub next door (where you get your room keys from) and we were very, very impressed by the cuisine. Both evening meals and breakfast meals were delicious. You must try the game pie - I would gladly have taken home a gallon of that gravy!!

Overall, I would definitely recommend both the Dog & Gun AND Leeming Wells accommodation.

Picked this accommodation due to its rural location with lovely views, its swimming pool and on the basis of the very positive reviews. Can't fault the location, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the swimming pool was good and the food at the Dog and Gun was superb. We had booked the only self-catering 'suite'. The kitchen, bathroom lounge and dining room are on the first floor with the bedroom in the attic. Pictures didn't convey just how low the beams were in the bedroom where even a hobbit would have to duck! There is only a very small velux window for ventilation. Decor was far from being "beautifully decorated" with peeling wallpaper, grouting/sealant that needs replacing. Empty spaces below the kitchen worktop where appliances had obviously been removed but no attempt to make good. The bathroom door sticks and has to be forced shut. Furniture appeared to be left over bits from elsewhere. The fridge had no door on its icebox which consequently was all iced up. They acknowledge there are issues with the hot water as cold taps run warm for the first few minutes due to running alongside extremely hot hot water pipes. But these hot water pipes also provide 24 hour under floor heating! Great in winter perhaps but not during this year's September heatwave, or frankly any time during a reasonable summer. With very small windows throughout and only a tiny velux in the bedroom, this made the bedroom unusable and the rest of the suite very uncomfortable. We tried sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge but you could feel every spring in the mattress. So moved out after 2 nights of what was supposed to be a 5 night stay. Staff were very helpful, providing a full refund for the 3 days and even suggesting another place we could try. This self-catering suite clearly needs a major re-think and update!

We booked the self catering apartment at this property whilst visiting relatives in the area as it was pet friendly. It is situated on the main road just outside Oxenhope. On arrival we went to the Dog&Gun pub next door to check in as advised but we're very disappointed to hear that dogs were not allowed in the bar.We had booked breakfast & evening meals in the pub and don't expect to take the dog into the restaurant but no mention had been made that the bar was not pet friendly. We were pleased with the apartment which was on the first floor. It was very spacious with a lounge separate kitchen separate dining room & bathroom. The bedroom was in the roof space accessed by a spiral staircase. ( how many times did I bang my head!!!). Plenty of tea & coffee ect supplied. I used the swimming pool once which was nice ( if a little cold) and the sauna was a bonus. There are a few snacks available -crisps chocolate bars & soft drinks in the Lounge with a honesty box which was a nice touch. Unfortunately we had horrendous wind&rain on the Saturday night and it was very noisy sleeping ( or not) in the roof space.
Breakfast was preordered and served in the Dog & Gun .It was nice but basic - no fish options or pastries
We ate dinner in the pub both nights and guests came to join us The food was good if a little overpriced as were the drinks
Overall we enjoyed our stay but would not recommend if traveling with a dog

Good..
Our room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and well presented.
The pool is booked for sole use in 30 min slots, allowing to book an hour swim & sauna session.
Lovely location and ease of parking
Plenty tea/ coffee / biscuits / water and even a few sweets.

Bad..
WiFi is dire & owners are fully aware of this issue.
Our windows were old allowing road noise and wind to become a nuisance
Poor sound insulation, could hear both sides snoring.
Unmanned reception, from 5pm every day and totally over weekend
Breakfast next door at the Dog & Gun, acceptable but no healthy alternative like yogurt or fresh fruit.

We would consider returning if in area as finding a clean hotel / facilities these days is becoming very difficult!

This is our second time staying here, very clean, the friendliest of staff, covid procedures in place, you felt very safe, and would not hesitate to return for a third time. The food deserves a 5 star rating The Dog and Gun, go hungry the portions are huge staying half board. We thank you for making my birthday so special.

Lovely B&B accommodation. Very clean and nothing too much trouble for friendly housekeeper. Massive bed in room 5 with firm mattress. Plenty of hot water and tea making facilities. On the main road but very quiet at night. Plenty of on-site parking too.
Lovely warm swimming pool onsite which we used. Clean fluffy pool towels provided and we had the pool to ourselves due to the booking system which in place.
Wifi wasn’t great and we could only get BBC channels on the tv but we weren’t visiting the area to watch the television! Better wifi would have improved our stay and that’s why I only gave this property a 4 rating.
Pub next door which is used for breakfast, serves high quality ingredients and we ate there twice on an evening. Fabulous food. Gets busy so I’d recommend booking a table.
Would definitely return if I was in the area again.

we booked 4 rooms as a group of friends. The rooms were well decorated and stylish with very good facilities. The pool was a big hit but it really needs to be warmer and we noticed several comments to that effect in their guest book. The room staff were very thorough and the rooms were all cleaned by the time breakfast (at the pub next door) was over. A lovely 3 night stay. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We picked this accommodation as it was near Hayworth and Hebden Bridge and we weren't disappointed. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was also a pool which could be booked in hourly or half hourly time slots which meant you had the pool to yourselves which was great. Breakfast was served at the Dog and Gun next door and again we couldn't fault it. We also had two evening meals there which were excellent but big!! All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and would definitely stay there again. Also if you like walking it would be a great base given it's location.

the food is served next door at the wonderful dog and gun pub , it is worthwhile just giving them a ring to book a table , although at this time of year you may not have to.
