Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location and the team could not have more helpful and kind. I didn't know what to expect but I would definitely recommend. Great place to explore the city. We had a beautiful meal in Bills, again great food and wonderful staff

Great location. Very cheap. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Pleasant check in person. Room is tiny. No way was my "double room" fit for 2 people. The bed was a single x 1.33 at the most. The gap between bed and wall was less than 12 inches. Temperature conrol was excellent. There was no window - which to be fair my booking made clear. Shower room had a floor towel of the same material as the "bath towel". Strange gurgling noise through the night which i think was water/drainage. Whats the verdict? Its cheap, clean and centrai. Expect nothing else.

The only person this hotel is easy for is the housekeeping staff. I’m fairly worried about dirt/bugs and the like so i was actually appalled when i didn’t even have to go looking for dirt. Every corner filled with dust, some even had bugs and mould in them. In the bathroom and bed i was finding other people’s short n’ curlies and little black bits of debris, even on my towels and pillows. The walls actually had bits of gunk and dirt on them (i couldn’t even hazard a guess what it was) and the air vent was literally full of dust, to the point that some dust was falling down into the room (i’m asthmatic). I went to the manager and told him about the room and his suggestion was “i can have the housekeeping manager look at another room quickly for you, we can have you in another room in 15 minutes.” to which i told him, i was genuinely afraid of staying in the hotel after seeing so much dust and bugs in my room. After seeing how dirty the room was i actually started panicking and i couldn’t stay in the hotel knowing the same housekeeping team was responsible. I told him i have no money to stay in another hotel so i needed either a refund or some sort of compensation toward another hotel so that i wasn’t stranded in a strange city. He couldn’t give me a refund because i booked through a third party, which i made it clear i understood, but then when i asked for help toward another hotel he just kept repeating he couldn’t offer me a refund - i explained i was no longer asking for a refund, i needed help to find and afford a hotel because i had spent my last 50£ on this one and couldn’t step foot in a room without feeling itchy and a little scared. In the end he just stood looking at me very helplessly, repeatedly asking me “what do you expect me to do?” whilst i was having a panic attack. I tried to walk to the post office and became short of breath and fell in a side street. It was a random stranger who helped me into a nearby barber’s, gave me a bottle of water and tissues, talked through the issue with me calmly and, without telling me bought me a new room in a different hotel out of his own money, refused to give me any details to pay him back later and walked me to the hotel to help me check in. I have since contacted booking.com for a refund but got barely any apology from the actual hotel staff and in the end was extremely late to an important meeting - which i told the manager, to little response. Would not recommend. To say the very least.

The location was fantastic being in the center of Leeds but that really is the only thing going for it. The space is very small - even worse than what we were expecting from the pictures - like we asked for an iron but there isn’t space to use it. We also asked for a hair dryer but the only plugs weren’t near a mirror. The pillows are thin, the beds have springs that dig into you as you sleep. The shower was weak on all 3 settings the shower head had - but it was warm. The aircon is good but doesn’t seem to stay on the setting you put it on. The bathroom front is made of glass so is fine mostly but it is uncofomrtable if you want to sit on the toilet as its a frost effect - so you can see people walk passed and its not a door with a seal so sounds travels through the door easily. They also charge for everything - e.g £5 to leave luggage so we ended up spending £10 for the early check in as that was only £5 more. There are lots of other little add ons which when we rolled all together meant it actually was a similar price as other hotels and some offered a breakfast which this doesn’t. I am sure some people will enjoy it here for the cheapness alone, and it wasn’t like the hotel was terrible - but theres no reason to come back here. Nothing was enjoyable, and essentially I regret staying here rather than somewhere else so that’s kind of the point I wanted to make in the review. Expect nothing and you might be okay with it but overall a sign that they charge more for a window is a sign of what the hotel is like in a big way

Stuffy, windows do not open and ours was view of air con unit (which we paid extra for!, air con noisy, beds hard, no cold water from tap in sink (only hot). A very uncomfortable, bad nights sleep for £100. See other reviews for details on space, bathroom etc. Only benefit is the central location and the place was clean at least.

I stayed for 4 nights in October 2023. Smallest room I've ever seen. No window, no furniture, no kettle, just enough room for bed. Nowhere to put suitcase or unpack clothes. Could hardly open room door with suitcase in the room. Felt like a small budget cabin on a boat. When I complained, I was told it was a budget hotel, I was told it didn't have a window when I booked it, coffee is for sale in reception @ £2 a cup & what did I expect for a budget hotel. Location wise it was great in Leeds city centre, but comfort wise, price wise & customer service wise, it is the worst hotel I've have EVER stayed in & won't be staying in any easy hotel ever again. The size of room should be against the law in the my opinion. Mr H West Sussex

I have stayed at the easy hotel before and do like the no frills hotel. Again on arrival the staff were nice and checked me in early. The room was very clean and well maintained. The window tho too small for a window room - I have taken a point away for this. Then during the night at 3am I was woken by a squeaky trolley and doors slamming this continued for 30 mins. Spoke to the manager about it - he was polite and said look into it - one point taken away for this. It is close to the train station and centre of Leeds. ❤️ the location. Would I recommend this place, yes.

Excellent location in the centre of the city. Early check in from 12.30 costs £10 which is perfectly reasonable. The room itself, mine had a small window is small and has a small bathroom. It was all perfectly functional and the staff were very helpful. I paid £150 for one night and I guess you’re paying for location. The bed was a little hard but other than that no complaints.
