The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Leeds City Centre stands out for its variety of praised amenities, such as diverse dining options, a well-regarded breakfast, and a sky bar that offers panoramic views popular with many guests. The hotel's cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with rooms described as immaculate. Located conveniently near the train station and city center, the hotel offers great views, though opinions on value and service quality vary. While the modern atmosphere is generally appreciated, some guests find the music too loud and have had mixed experiences with room size and customer service.

Booked this hotel on a deal with my hotel real which included bottle of fizz , breakfast and late check out , arrived early approx 1:30pm and was hoping to just leave our bags till check in at 3pm but the very polite receptionist said our room was ready ( bonus ) got settled into our super modern room and within 20 minutes our fizz arrived . Hotel is in a great location , super comfy bed and bed linen . Breakfast the following morning was super busy I think this was because there was a couple of concerts on in Leeds and a weekend . They found us a table quickly and had a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice . Next time were in Leeds we will most definitely stay here again .

Had the loveliest of nights away this weekend at the Doubletree by Hilton and will definitely be returning.
When checking in we were given cookies for bedtime which was a lovely gesture
Was fortunate to have a room upgrade to a Canal view room on the 10th floor and the views were amazing, just a shame it rained the whole time we were there.
Hotel is ideally situated for visiting Leeds good location and not far too walk to shops, restaurants, bars etc
Hotel is spotlessly clean, very modern.
Bedroom was just the same, comfy bed and pillows.
We went to the Skylounge for some cocktails, atmosphere was chilled out, drinks fantastic, lots of choice.
Breakfast was included this was one of the best breakfast I have had at a hotel. Too much choice! Can’t wait to visit again.

one small thing on returning home I had noticed I have left my kindle in the room. Was too late when I rang to speak to lost property, hoping that the cleaners and handed it in!

We stayed here overnight as a break away and a visit to a local restaurant. Using points so the room was not expensive at all and the breakfast represented good value at £17 each as it had loads of choice.

The sky bar as always was lovely before we went out. However, the service in the main bar when we came back from dinner out could be better. Too many staff members more interested with flirting with one another than focussing on customers. Considering the bar automatically adds a 10% tip for each drink really not good.

We were upgraded upon arrival to room 1127 canal view based on Diamond status. It was a great view of Leeds and the Canal. Room needed to be re vacuumed which they did right away, but the vacuums are like shop vacs and do not have rollers so dont work so well on carpet. Construction started at 8am and the floors, and ceilings are paper thin so you hear everything. We notified the front desk and they assured us that construction was not until 9am, but no one ever told the workers as they started promptly at 8am every morning.
Then 2 floors up is the sky lounge, which is very nice to visit and have a drink, but the music echoes into the room until midnight. They have live bands and the music is so loud you can hear it over the television in the room. Live music plays till after 11pm so be prepared to either go up and join them in the sky lounge, stay awake until midnight, or put in ear plugs. I would avoid any floor above 8 and the side of the hotel under the sky lounge.
Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. They had everything you could ever want to eat including full english breakfast and a menu to order off if the buffet didnt have what you wanted. Nice views of canal boats and park while eating. Breakfast was the best part of the stay and coffee was welcome after staying up late from the music and being woken up by construction. Make sure you check your room location as the staff didn't seem to know what was going on based on room locations that may cause you an unpleasant stay in the room.

Have stayed here many times over the years from when it was a Mint Hotel to the DoubleTree Hotel it is now.

The welcome is always great and the rooms are really comfortable and well appointed. The bar and restaurant staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The biggest problem with this hotel is that the breakfast is very poor. They put a lot out and it looks good, but it’s really the cheapest quality they can buy in.

Over the last 3 years the scrambled eggs have gone from bad to worse. They buy in liquidised eggs and don’t add butter, salt or pepper. Congealed and flavourless. It was my wife’s first time staying and she called the scrambled eggs “disgusting”. I agree.

There is no salted butter available, only this pretend upscale French unsalted butter that tastes like margarine and no full-fat milk. Plus one toaster that everyone had to queue for in a hotel with 300+ rooms. The smoothies weed full of bits which were horrible. Plus the waffles which are still frozen on the inside despite being under a defrost lamp. They also use clipper tea which you get in a Days Inn on a motorway services. No Yorkshire Tea in Yorkshire here.

Personally I’d stay again as the rooms are really nice, but skip the breakfast as it’s not good.

Looking forward to a return stay as a treat after a very difficult surgery. Complex ICU stay and still being on crutches we arrived today at the hotel car park. It was absolute chaos, with a parking attendant clearly stressed, shouting at customers in cars and then proclaimed very loudly “I’m done with this shift, you can sort it out” to another car park attendant before walking off down the road. He’d already made us drive out of the car park queue as I had a blue badge, only to be told to reverse up and rejoin the queue by another member of the car park team, once he’d quit his shift. We paid the car park fee and tried put it behind us.

We then walked to the hotel reception, hobbling on crutches to be greeted by two receptionists talking and at that point no other customers around. I gave my details to the receptionist and was then told a more expensive price than I’d booked and agreed two months before. After checking the price and giving no apology, the receptionist then agreed with the price I had booked under. However she then adds we had no breakfast booked at that rate, which we did have and had booked at that rate. She then shared as I’d booked through another well known booking agent I may well have booked at that rate but as they then offered a free room upgrade, that removes the breakfast plan and often happens with customers unaware. I shared that this was unbeknown to myself as I could have booked cheaper without breakfast but was paying a very expensive rate to include breakfast and her response was “well there’s nothing I can do!” No attempt was made to resolve this other than ringing the booking team to say their records didn’t show breakfast. I shared thatI had booked with breakfast two months ago as a returning customer and were clearly paying that rate to treat ourselves and wouldn’t have paid such a rate without breakfast. She maintains she can’t do anything about it and doesn’t even try, then hands me the room card, asks grumpily “do you want a welcome cookie?” In the most unwelcoming tone possible and then hands the room card over without any information about the hotel, nor where to locate the lifts when clearly I am struggling on crutches. No attempt was made to share where any hotel amenities were or if any help was needed for someone who is clearly disabled.

Customer service was completely lacking, so in the space of 20 minutes we’d gone from looking forward to a relaxing break away to having had parking attendants shouting, room prices trying to charge incorrectly (more expensive rates); no breakfast included and no attempt to resolve this and then find out that according to the published prices on the hotel website we’ve also been overcharged for parking too. How to ruin what should have been a relaxing recovery break and leave a very poor opinion of a hotel we’d previously had a wonderful stay at.

Suffice to say we won’t be returning as there is no excuse for such poor customer service. Very sad when we’ve been frequent Hilton customers over many years, but clearly that seems to count for nothing at this hotel!

Myself and my partner stayed here for 1 night. This was a birthday weekend away.

We located the hotel but was then really disappointed by the car parking availability. We arrived at the allocated parking to be greeted with a sign which stated 'car park full' we spoke to guest services who advised that although we could see empty parking spaces these had already been reserved for guests who had already booked in and were out for the day! There is also a car park next door and again this wasn't an option. They then gave us an alternative post code for a car park, this again greeted with a 'car park full' sign. Luckily we managed to find parking in SIP car parking (by Bibis) which cost £12 for 24 hrs, which was cheaper than the original offering and a 10 min walk to the hotel.

We checked in and was greeted by a member of staff who advised that car parking can't be reserved, but that for next time there is a number we can call!!! And that we needed to understand that it was a busy time of year and the hotel was full.

We paid for our room there and then as a credit card was needed if you wanted to pay on check out. We weren't told where the lifts were, were we could have a drink, were breakfast was going to be served etc, we did however order breakfast to our room at an extra charge of £5 (tray charge). This was our choice as we knew the hotel was fully booked and therefore anticipating the breakfast time to be really busy.

All in all a lovely hotel and with great breakfast options, nice room, with lovely views. Only negativity was the car parking and the lack of enthusiasm and customer service from staff on reception.

Would I stay here again, No. I'm sure there are other nicer hotels to stay in, in the centre of Leeds.

We came for the bottomless Prosecco afternoon tea. We had a voucher we had been given for Christmas. Sometimes when you have a voucher prorated places they make you feel like you’re an inconvenience however this is not the case at the Hilton. Our server was Rachel we never had an empty glass the afternoon tea was so nice and fresh and she was so friendly, really down to earth. Will definitely be back for another!

The staff at the Doubletree by Hilton Leeds go out of their way to make customers' stay the best it could possibly be. In particular staff in the Sky Lounge bar and in the Lock Bar and restaurant. The drinks menu is good and staff offered to make other cocktails that were not listed on the menu. The outdoor terrace at the Sky Bar is great during the day to catch the sun and at night to sit, relax and gaze at the many lights with patio heaters for cooler evenings.

Breakfast was amazing - such a good choice of quality food on the buffet as well as additional items to order. I especially liked the green bean and spinach medley which went really well with eggs, bacon and mushrooms. Also I liked the rolled chopped dates, lemon drizzle cake and sweets!

We were allocated a corner room on the 6th floor which had great views over the lock, canal and bridges. The room was spacious, clean and warm and it's a real bonus to have a fridge, ice bucket and water in the room. There are ice machines on three of the floors (can't remember which but not on the 6th floor!).

This is a great place to stay and we will always make it our first choice when we visit Leeds.

Great location and the sky bay has great music but we choose to sit outside as very loud. Great views over the city
One of the breakfast waitresses was very aggressive when someone put in a bagel into the toasting machine.
She could have handled it in a better way. Appreciate her frustrations and am sure it happens a lot so maybe the bagels shouldn’t be with the bread next to the toaster.
Breakfast food was very good

from the main concourse an escalotor takes you up to the next level. Turn left and you will come to a ticket barrier. If you go throu that there are 2 more escalators which take you down to canal level. Go through exit door and the Hilton is opposite you. My problem was that the ticket isnpectors made it difficult to access this route when I didn't have a ticket . Granary wharf is clearly signposted.
