Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice hotel, great breakfast, enormous room, incredible unfriendly reception team. No information given about check out time and was asked “ Do you WANT a cookie”. First impressions are very important and this was not a good impression at all. Team I. The bar and restaurant all lovely.

Hotel's Favourite
Had the loveliest of nights away this weekend at the Doubletree by Hilton and will definitely be returning. When checking in we were given cookies for bedtime which was a lovely gesture Was fortunate to have a room upgrade to a Canal view room on the 10th floor and the views were amazing, just a shame it rained the whole time we were there. Hotel is ideally situated for visiting Leeds good location and not far too walk to shops, restaurants, bars etc Hotel is spotlessly clean, very modern. Bedroom was just the same, comfy bed and pillows. We went to the Skylounge for some cocktails, atmosphere was chilled out, drinks fantastic, lots of choice. Breakfast was included this was one of the best breakfast I have had at a hotel. Too much choice! Can’t wait to visit again. one small thing on returning home I had noticed I have left my kindle in the room. Was too late when I rang to speak to lost property, hoping that the cleaners and handed it in!

We had the best time ever celebrating a friends birthday in the outdoor pod for the bottomless burger deal. The hospitality was incredible and special mention to Matt, Ivan and Sterling who really made the experience extra special. Would recommend to everyone!

I’ve previously been to various work and social events in the downstairs and rooftop bars. This time I was lucky enough to stay in the hotel. A still warm cookie for everyone on arrival was a nice touch, and every one in our party snaffled them down. The hotel is in an excellent location next to the canal. The roof top (Sky) bar is one of my favourite spots in Leeds, offering panoramic views of the city - especially breathtaking at night. The room was also overlooking the canal and I found myself often looking out of the window at the beautiful scene. There is Fazenda just across the square, as well as various bars/food places. The rooms were nice, though nothing out of the ordinary.

First time at this hotel. My husband is the diamond member of Hilton group. So we chose to stay at this Doubletree while in Leeds (I always look forward to getting their famous warm walnut cookies at checkin). This hotel suits better for business individuals rather than tourists. Also for us it's convenient since we didn't hire a car and the Leeds train station is right across from the hotel. Doubletree by Hilton Leeds is right on the canal. It's lovely to sit in their restaurant over looking the view. Surprisingly when in room, we couldn't hear any noise coming from the train station. Probably because our room is on the other side of the hotel. So make sure you ask or book for room with canal view at the back. Neat and tidy. Our room is relatively small even though we had been upgraded. I wonder how much smaller are the standard rooms would be. No in room coffee machine like most Doubletree/Hilton hotels would have but there is a kettle and instant coffee sachets/tea bags etc provided. The pillows and bed are comfortable and shower worked well. There are cafes and restaurants just outside the hotel. So no problem to get nice espresso beverages especially on cold days. There is also a convenience store nearby. Friendly and helpful staffs. I would come back!

Friendly and efficient staff- a small problem , due to booking with a third party site who didn't book an accessible room, was quickly resolved - the rooms are spacious and very clean . Breakfast with room service only an extra £4 , great value. Only one gripe , you need a degree in IT to understand how to work the TV.

2nd time here. Still a great hotel and the rooms have had an upgrade (the old version looked great to me!). Only two things I would mention: You can’t get crisps at the bar (?) Car parking-only 30 spaces for 100s of room so even if your rate allows it-it’ll probably be full Oh-and the welcome cookie needs to kept in a fridge 😀 Apart from that -5 stars again!

Stayed here with friends for my birthday weekend in leeds, the hotel was fantastic and had everything you would need, clean rooms, friendly staff. excellent choice of food for breakfast. The sky lounge bar is a nice lounge to visit and relax with a drink, although a bit expensive, the views from the sky lounge balcony are fantastic. The location is good, all guests receive a chocolate chip cookie on arrival which is a lovely gesture. we will definitely stay here again and i would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in leeds.
