Detailed Reviews
Harewood is a beautiful estate with some nice walks, and lots to see: an amazing stately home, lovely gardens, interesting bird aviaries, deer park etc. Bramble Cottage is one of a number of old workers' cottages that have recently been renovated for holiday rentals. It is very spacious, and has been designed to be wheelchair accessible on the ground floor, with no steps, plenty of room, and a very spacious and well-designed downstairs bathroom (with shower seat, grab rails, mirror at the right height etc). The kitchen is very well appointed, with everything you would expect. The decor is really stylish. Overall, really nice accommodation in a beautiful location. Thoroughly recommended.

Me and my team stayed onsite whilst delivering an event at Harewood House and to say that we had luxurious accommodation doesn't quite cut it. We stayed in Thyme cottage & Mulberry cottage and they were spotless, smelt absolutely divine and we were welcomed with lovely treats such as eggs, bread, milk, jam & cookies!
The hand soap and moisturiser is also SO nice - I need to get myself some.
The staff were super helpful and we will absolutely be coming back the next time we are in Yorkshire.

We had a wonderful stay in Cherry Blossom Cottage. The location was brilliant with lots of walks nearby and it was particularly special to have access to the Harewood House grounds during the property opening hours. The cottage itself was beautifully presented and was equipped with everything you could need for your stay. It was great to be able to bring our two dogs and for them to have secure, enclosed use of the cottage’s front garden when needed. The staff that we interacted with and met both before and during our stay were very helpful and friendly. We especially appreciated the care taken with cleaning given the current circumstances with COVID-19. We felt very reassured and safe staying there as a result. We would definitely like to return in the near future. Thank you!

We were absolutely blown away with everything during our stay at Harewood. We stayed in Thyme Cottage with our little cavapoo and each and every detail was lovingly thought of. Sumptuous beds and bedding. Lots of fluffy thick white towels, delightful Organic Chapter products, luscious throws and ample logs for the log burner. Little touches like plenty of dishwasher tablets, washing machine products and kitchen paraphernalia made things much simpler. The delightful hamper was a lovely treat….scrummy bread, eggs, ground coffee and juicy jam. The whole Estate is indeed a real treasure. Wildlife in abundance and miles and miles of picturesque walks and of course not forgetting Muddy Boots Café with their delicious extensive menu. Harewood House is a real gem and the gardens and lake are spectacular. Harewood is excellently placed to explore the beauty of North Yorkshire. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for making our trip such an enjoyable and unforgettable one!

We enjoyed an excellent 3 night stay in Apple Tree Cottage. Superbly appointed throughout and spotlessly clean, Apple Tree Cottage offers exceptional accommodation that is decorated to a really high standard. Harewood House Estate has brilliant walking and exploring opportunities, while the cottage’s location provides a great jumping off point for wider travel. Felicity could not have done more in advance and during the stay to make our visit to Apple Tree Cottage special and memorable. I cannot recommend the Harewood Cottages highly enough. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed in Apple Tree Cottage over the last week in September, and what a lovely place in which to cosset ourselves. Loads of space for 4, though there were only 2 of us, and a beautifully appointed 2-storey cottage, with all mod cons in the kitchen, bathroom, and throughout really, plus a very fine wood-burning stove in the main living space, which we put into service most evenings. Even without the extra heat of the stove we were comfortably snug.
I could go into further raptures about out lovely Apple Tree Cottage - suffice to say that our expectations, based on the website info and pictures, were met and easily exceeded. As another poster has indicated, the staff were extremely helpful at all times, and there is the fullest effort being made to make guests feel comfortable, safe and secure at Harewood during this current pandemic situation.
Overall, superb in every way, and the beauty of the Estate setting puts it up yet another notch.
We definitely want to come back!

We stayed in Apple Tree Cottage. The cottage has a great layout with a lovely large kitchen diner, comfy lounge and two really good size double bedrooms. The quality of interior decor and furnishings was incredibly high. Every detail was so well thought out.
A parking spot was located very close and they offer ev charge points at a very reasonable cost. The kitchen had every gadget and appliance we could need. The welcome basket was full of delicious treats and we popped to the on-site shop for a locally made ready meal and snacks.
The cottage comes with a gorgeous private garden, 2 loungers and a table set to eat out at. I loved sitting on the loungers in the sun watching the red kites overhead listening to the river running nearby.
Free access to Harewood house and grounds was a brilliant perk of the location, we went for a play on the playground daily and loved a stroll around the lake. The whole area is so peaceful, the location is great to properly escape.
We’ve booked for next year already.

My wife and I stayed at Carr House for the week. The property itself is stylishly furnished, with high quality white goods, kitchenware and soft furnishings. The house is a good size and would comfortably hold a family of four adults and a couple of children. Plenty of storage space, parking and the bbq and firepit were a bonus. The views are simply stunning, we had highland cows for company every morning and you can see and hear the swans and ducks in the lake from the table in the garden, which is big enough to have lots of little ones running around in.
There are plenty of nice, family friendly walks from your front door that takes you around the grounds where you can see deer, lots of plant and birdlife and views of the Yorkshire countryside.
The team running the cottages are very friendly and helpful. Some lovely touches were the welcome basket with lots of goodies including essentials for making a snack and a cuppa on arrival. In addition, having the house being lit and warm when we arrived was a godsend after a late night arrival after a 5 hour drive. I'd also recommend you pre-order a bottle of their Gin for arrival as well, it's a really nice one.
I'd thoroughly recommend Carr House, if you have a larger family, Carr Cottage which is directly next door would make a great combo

My husband and I stayed at Thyme cottage. The furnishings were well thought out and the cottage was extremely comfortable. Everything was perfect, scrupulously clean and the appliances were top of the range. Outside the front door was a bench well placed to take advantage of the sun overlooking a cluster of cherry trees in full bloom. It felt idyllic, another world, an ideal spot to take advantage of the peace and tranquility all around. Admission to the grounds of Harewood House is included and it is easy to wander around observing the birds and wonderful plants, then adjourn to the courtyard cafe for coffee and cake. One of the best holidays we have ever had, we can't wait to return.

We booked out all the properties at Harewood Holidays for our wedding weekend so that we could have our bridal party around us and it truly was just the best weekend of our lives.
Right from the Friday night when we had dinner and drinks in the Hovels on site, where the food and atmosphere were both first class (everyone was raving about Josh’s dishes!) the scene really was set for the weekend!
On the Saturday we had the AMAZING wedding party trailer which was a massive highlight for me and my bridesmaids personally. It was decorated so beautifully and it was literally the perfect way to arrive in style! We loved it!
Then of course the incredible cottages themselves. Wow wow wow! They were perfect! So well stocked with everything we could need. So beautifully finished. I honestly felt like I was royalty for the weekend in Oak House!! Everyone was so impressed and we’ve all said we are absolutely coming back. They even smelt amazing! The products they use are superb, so much so that I bought them! I can’t wait for my house to smell like that and take me back to the happiest weekend of my life.
And on top of all that are the the people who work at Harewood. From the word go they were so helpful and accommodating. I really felt like we were looked after every step of the way and it really put my mind at ease knowing we were in safe hands.
Just one question though - when can we move in?!!
I can definitely guarantee we will keep in touch and go back to try and re-live it!
