We decided on a last minute break in Leeds staying at the Radisson and it was amazing.

The hotel was spotless and is clearly being cleaned regularly.

Beth is an asset to the team, she was very helpful in ensuring we could keep our room for a little bit longer on check-out day so we could enjoy lunch without worrying about our luggage.

We had some time to spare before dinner so wanted to enjoy a cocktail in Fire Lake but due to the current situation they aren't offering them. The lovely bartender didn't try and push us to order anything, he recommended Browns next door for us to try some cocktails instead

We stayed in Room 333 and it was gorgeous- modern, quiet and again spotless.

We always choose Radisson Blu when we go out of town and have re-booked for when we are next in Leeds. Thank you for a great staycation

Prices seem to have increased, but standards decreased.
Last year I had excellent room service meals. The menu has been cut back. I had steak and chips. It was a tiny portion of food, there was a bit of limp, shallot on top of a piece of what I think would have been a nice steak, but resembled a lump of charcoal . No cheeseboard available.
The windows were fitted with two stretches of curtain track.... with a huge gap between the two. I was therefore woken up at first light each morning.
Breakfast: previously, on busy mornings , I witnessed a young man trying to cook by himself, for far too many people. On this visit, it was not at all busy, but the chef cooked lots of eggs at once, left them all on a plate and they went hard. No fresh orange juice - happened on last visit.. Surely they could have sent somebody to buy some? I was twice asked for my room number and if I had booked breakfast. . A while later, a supervisor (not in uniform) walked up, did not say excuse me and said "you're not booked in for breakfast". I explained that I had booked it when I checked in. Only semi-skimmed milk, rather than this plus whole and skimmed,. They always run out of cups and glasses.
Check out: I was charged for breakfast on two mornings, when I had only booked it for one morning.

Staff are very friendly
Rooms are serviced very well-good standard of work
Excellent location with discounted parking at the adjoining The Light Car Park
Bar area is nice with a relaxing atmosphere

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay with us. I am pleased to read the staff were friendly, and that you found the bar and car park to be good. I am sorry to hear about your breakfast experience, I am assuming this is a few weeks ago as there have been additional crockery and glassware purchased. I am unsure as to why there was a lack of milk and orange juice as this is available unless there has been a delay with the deliveries. we will share all your comments with the relevant departments to ensure these are rectified immediately. Yours sincerely Valerie Donaldson General Manager

Having chosen this hotel for it location over a Premier Inn which was a 2 miles further out from the city I had high hopes, I was wrong.

Firstly Leeds has major roadworks going on some of which are right outside the hotel and they work into the night, this is not mentioned by the hotel and you can hear them through the closed windows.

The hotel tells you use a Q car park which although it’s secure, with the hotel discount means you still have to pay £13.

I booked a deal and paid £77 for the room, when I emailed the hotel to ask about adding breakfast they quoted me £111.60 for the room and breakfast. When I arrived at the hotel I asked about an evening meal and was told their kitchen was closed until further notice, therefore they were charging £34.60 for a cold buffet breakfast, I didn’t go for that option.

And finally the hotel room I stayed in 321, although it looks okay when you first enter it is in need of a refurbishment, tatty paint work, a massive crack in the bathroom sink and a filthy carpet and sofa.

I know we’re living in strange times however having stayed in other hotels during this time I can say hotel stays can be done much better than this.

Needless to stay I will not be staying here again.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your recent visit. I am disappointed to read you had challenges with your stay. I have followed up with the team on the points you have raised and they are working hard to rectify these immediately. I can confirm that the painting work in underway and the sink replacement plan has been delayed with the international suppliers. We are planning to reinstate the breakfast buffet on a phased return at weekends from the end of this month to ensure we can operate this safely for staff and guests. I do sincerely hope you will allow us to take care of you again on your next visit and I hope to look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind regards Valerie Donaldson General Manager

Very nice modern hotel.
The location was great in the centre of Leeds close to everything. Not far from Greek street at all where they are some nice bars. We ate at gusto Italian which is lovely really recommend this restaurant!
Breakfast was yummy, lots of selection

I would recommend they update the parking information as it is not very clear on what to do when parking in the light. You need to press for a ticket and not use your contactless card as it doesn’t give you a ticket and this is what we did and you need the ticket for them to discount the price to £13 however we got the problem sorted out for us so we could still get the discounted parking for staying in the hotel

Oh dear where do I start 🤔🤔
We stayed in room 330 2nd floor on entering the room we noticed a fowl smell coming from the bathroom but as the room had been closed up we didn’t think to much about it as we were dropping our case then off out for a few drinks . When we arrived back at the room the smell was even more pungent than before obviously because we had left the bathroom door open.
The smell was made much worse by the heat in the room we tried to turn the heating down by using the Control Panel on the wall only to find out that was not working so we tried opening a window only to find out they was locked and was unable to be opened.
Obviously not wanting to cause problems I reluctantly rang down to reception to air my concerns regarding the smell and the heating issues.
Once on the phone to reception I mentioned that there was an awful smell coming from the bathroom and straight away the receptionist said “what like a drains smell “ I said yes and realised that obviously we were not the first to complain about this matter .
She told us that because it was Saturday that maintenance staff were not working there was nothing she could do but Apologised and offered us the room at half price that was a very nice gesture but it did not compensate for the restless night we had due to the heat and the pungent smell that made us feel nauseous.
Other little issues the attention to detail lacked when paying for a premium room was as follows no coffee pods for the coffee machine no tissues in the tissue box water that was not chilled we couldn’t put it in the fridge because the fridge was locked resulting in us feeling very dehydrated in the morning after a night out with friends.
We went down for breakfast we were waiting to be seated when the server came to us to tell us just to take a seat because there was too short staffed to check us off the list.
He then told us that was no eggs for breakfast.
A very poor experience from the Raddison blue in Leeds.

We were in room 439 for one night. Booked 12 months ago so compared to todays prices we did very well. Hotel is within easy 5 minute walk to the Arena which is why we chose it. Car park easy to find but machine wouldn't dispense a ticket so couldn't claim discount. On first impressions the hotel and the room looked great. There was one staff member at check in and a long queue. Took ages for another member of staff to arrive. Queue soon went down after that. Lifts a bit tricky on first use. You must put your room key in the slot in the lift and then remove it before pressing the button for your floor. Soon discovered that the shower in the room didn't work properly. The button to get the full jet effect was missing so you could only get the 4 jets from the middle of the shower head. Take your own shower gel etc as the pump bottles in a unit in the shower are virtually impossible to use. There were no tea spoons or equivalent (we stirred with the bottle opener) and the handle on one of the glass doors on the the 'drinks' cupboard was missing. All very obvious problems that should've been repaired before the room was next allocated.

We booked a cheap deal through Wowcher and as such expected a pleasant stay but perhaps nothing special. What we got was perfection!

From the second we checked in (slightly early) we were made to feel like the most important visitors ever to stay there. The lifts were experiencing technical difficulties which they told us about immediately and they gave us 2 card keys to ensure we could always use them. Any time we came across a member of staff in the hotel we were asked if there was anything they could do for us.

The room was delightful - spacious, immaculate, well decorated and temperature controlled by us. We made use of the safe and coffee/tea facilities. When we asked at reception for a couple more tea bags they brought up a huge selection of everything for us.
The bed was very comfy, ideal for a good night's sleep, the room quiet and the shower had enough power to knock you off your feet.
We were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco in an ice filled bucket which was a lovely touch although we didn't want it on check in so asked for it on day 2 instead which they were happy to accommodate..

Breakfast was outstanding! We had a time slot of our choice booked so there was seating for all. Everything you could possibly want, cooked and continental plus extras, and set us us perfectly for the day. Anything that became empty was refilled immediately by very happy and busy staff.
A drink at the bar in the evening was a lot of fun thanks to a chatty and friendly barman.

The location is superb, right in the heart of the city centre but in a quiet area away from rowdy bars.
The parking was spot on, right under the hotel, and was discounted on check out by 50%. Leeds itself is a mecca of eateries, bars, cafes and shops. Never seen so many shopping centres in one place! More than enough to keep us busy for a 2 day stay.

There was plenty of sanitiser around the hotel and everywhere was very clean and covid safe. They do not provide room service yet but I am unaware of any hotel which has begun room service since reopening and this was definitely not an issue.

Our stay was a genuine 10/10 experience and I was rather sad when it was time to check out. This will absolutely become our first choice for staying in Leeds in the future and I would like to thank the whole team for such a wonderful stay.

Good, nice but only good.

Came here for a concert check in was from 2, left our bags and came back check in was a breeze. Got busy, but line went down fast.

Lady at desk was amazing.

Only 1 lift working whilst Covid measures in place isn’t great. It needs sorting ASAP.

We took the stairs most of the time.

We stayed in a room that is definitely outdated. Clean but outdated.

Very dark even with all the lights on.

Ironing or getting ready outside of the bathroom isn’t ideal. As you can barely see with curtains fully open.

No obvious room service ( if available )

A nice touch would be longer cords on the hair dryer.

Wouldn’t come back to these rooms again, you can pay less and get more modern and practical rooms in other hotels, that being said … bed was comfy, couldn’t hear any outside noise and interactions with staff were good.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. I am pleased to read you found the hotel to be quiet and comfortable. I have taken note of your comments and I can assure you that the lift had to be temporarily put out of service whilst a part was sourced and fitted, I agree this is not ideal, we do take all health and safety matters seriosuly. Please note we do have a variety of bedrooms with differing outlooks, so please do not hesitate to discuss your preferred choice with the reception team should you choose to stay with us again. Radisson Blu Leeds is probably the best hotel in the city.

I have travelled to this property both for work and leisure in numerous occasions and have had the opportunity to taste what hospitality excellence looks and feels like. From the personalised and inviting check in to the clean and spacious rooms (some of them with great views!) you can also experience the restaurant they have on the ground floor (amazing quality and many options to choose from), or just pop in to the bar to have a cocktail prepared by one of their well trained staff.

The hotel is located in the city centre, right next to the cathedral and the First Direct Arena, perfect for a stay during big events. Another plus of this hotel (compared to the others I have stayed in the city) are its enormous Smart TVs in the rooms and the extremely spacious bathrooms, something that does make the different when staying at a hotel. Room service is also very affordable and a great option if you just want to enjoy being at your room!

I highly recommend staying at this property and will most surely stay there in my next visits to Leeds. Thanks to all of the team!
