Hotel's Favourite
Visited for one night with my husband and friends. The hotel was 5 min walk from the station so is in an ideal place to visit Leeds City Centre. The hotel was immaculate and the rooms were modern, spacious and really clean. Check in was easy and the staff were really friendly. All amenities were available in the room, the bed was really comfy and the hotel itself was relatively quiet. Breakfast was lovely, lots to choose from. Enjoyed the sauna and steam room! Gym was small but had everything you need for a workout and is free to use! Bar area was decorated lovely and cocktails sounded great although we didn’t get time to try one. Car parking is avail onsite for £15 for overnight. Can’t wait to come back next time we visit Leeds

Room Tip: Sat morning breakfast at 8.30 was really quiet - it got a lot busier at 10.

+1
So we came here for a little getaway. We booked pretty last minute but the price we paid for a suite was still very reasonable. Upon our arrival we were greeted and they offered us a late checkout when we were departing.
Our room was just as beautiful as the rest of the hotel! We had a large bathroom with a shower and a bath, the bath being one of the highlights if I am honest. Our room was very very clean, and the little added extras just made the room extra special. We slept wonderfully as the bed and the pillows were all very comfortable! The spa facilities are fantastic! A large swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and a sauna which were all clean, and a wonderful way for us to relax. We had access to the separate lounge, which again was beautiful. We were offered a range of both soft drinks and alcoholic drinks plus snacks and the atmosphere in the room was relaxing and very welcoming. The breakfast was more than we could have asked for, there was literally everything you could've wanted. From a hot buffet breakfast, to a continental breakfast continental a huge range of items. We were also offered a range of coffees from around the world, perfect for an early start to the day!
My now Fiancèe proposed to me during our stay and the staff did everything they could to help make it extra special. A staff member brought us some complimentary champagne and chocolates, and she was so so happy to celebrate our evening with us.
My only let down was at dinner in the LS1 restaurant in house. The food was incredible, however the service there was a little questionable. We waited over 20 minutes for the bill despite asking over and over again which I felt was a little disappointing!
Overall, this place is well worth the money! It's only been a week since our stay and I am honestly hoping to book here as our wedding venue! Thank you Crowne Plaza for making our stay so so special.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Just a standard basic hotel, nothing flash, visited for 2 nights with other half for business. Large room, bed comfortable but pillows poor quality, as are the towels like sandpaper, toilet seperate from bathroom which for us is a hygiene issue. £12 per night for breakfast on line yet at the hotel big sign at reception saying breakfast £10 so bit of a rip off booking on-line, breakfast items are all crammed into one area and nothing in order, choice limited compared to other hotels. Far too much noise in hotel either from the Soap Factory Bar or the Restaurant serving Brunch, we stay in Leeds a lot for the other half business, other than good location to city this hotel is disappointing. Really good Chinese across the road called Mans Market though.

I intermittently stay at the hotel for business. It is, in my opinion, run at a consistently high level. For that, the GM, Ludovic, deserves a lot of credit.
Any emails sent before a stay are answered, the rooms are modern and quiet (well insulated, with carpeting in the halls and gently closing doors) and the location is central, close to some very good eateries. The staff are always nice, polite -- and efficient.
The breakfast at the hotel is also very good.
Thanks to the entire team, and keep it up!

The Perfect hotel to stay in. We went over for 2 nights Saturday and Sunday. We booked a superior Room with walk in shower. It didn't disappoint. Modern spacious and cosy all at once. The bed was super comfy , a huge Tv , the bathroom was just brilliant. The Location is perfect 5 - 7 mins walk to pretty much anywhere in the city center. £7 - £10 for a Taxi to Elland road if your over for a match. We Had Dinner in the Soap Factory. £20 for a start / Main with a side and a pint of Beer excellent Value and Quality. Drinks reasonably priced too. 2 for 1 Cocktails between 4 - 8 and they are really tasty. Receptionists really efficient and friendly and they've a good security on the doors at night. Definitely would stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a concert at the arena. We had a superior room on a higher floor away from the lifts.
Positives: centrally located for shops, friendly staff, 20 min walk to the arena, breakfast not too bad, fairly quiet overnight, good blackout curtains
Negatives: Carpet in the room was very badly stained (strange orange colour; gross) Room wasn't cleaned properly as the shower drain was blocked and the sink drain was yellow, door next to fridge hanging off, broken cup on the tray, bottom of door broken and dented, lift to the car park was out of order.
Unfortunately for us, at breakfast we were treated to an obnoxious group of guys who were part of a stag party. They made sure that we did not have a peaceful start to the day. One of them had a terrible cold and was continuously sneezing and coughing all over the table. The staff do not change the condiments, unused cutlery or milk jugs so if you get home without infections or Covid you will be lucky! We will not return here. There are other hotels at better value for money.

I could not fault Novotel Leeds for an excellent night’s stay on business during the Covid lockdown everything was superb despite most of the hotel’s amenities being closed in line with government guidelines.
The welcome was warm and friendly also efficient and professional.
The Executive Room was very well appointed with all the requirements you needed for your stay; some nice additional touches like a Nespresso coffee machine and bathrobes.
The hotel was exceptionally clean and the Covid protocols and protections in place performed very well.
Full English Breakfast served in the room was a triumph; excellent high-quality ingredients cooked exceptionally well, delivered hot and on time.
Highly recommend this hotel and thankful for the welcome and the employee's assistance in these anxious times.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and I really love it. I stayed here for 4 nights recently and it was a great stay.
Check in was swift and my room was on the 5th floor overlooking the entrance and flags. Although it is in the city centre the room was very quiet and there was no noise.
The staff were all friendly and very helpful and nothing seemed to be too much. I liked the way in which you had to book room cleaning so you could choose what days you wanted it and also what time. This is obviously due to Covid but I thought it was good to do room cleaning this way.
I also love how easy it is to get into the city and the train station.
Overall, I continue to be impressed and highly recommend this hotel.

And it was amazing from arriving at the reception to eating in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and professional
I trained as a professional chef and worked in hotels for many years.
The evening menu is well put together and is a pleasure to eat at a very exquisite price.
The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had with a wide range to offer any palate.
The bedroom is a good size, clean and well equipped
I would visit again

I booked the Novotel as it was perfectly situated near to Phranakhon Thai tapas were we were booked for the evening and it’s one of the few hotels in Leeds with its own car park.(£12 overnight charge) This was quite easy to find but the spaces are very tight if you’re lucky enough to get one. Check in was quick as I’d done this online prior to arrival. Our executive room was on the 5th floor. It was ok, quite basic but good shower and lighting in the bathroom. I paid £114 for a Friday night which included breakfast. This is quite good for Leeds for a weekend but if you’re expecting a swish luxurious room then it’s not the place for you. We were given a voucher for a free drink in the bar on arrival which was a nice touch and we did in fact use it after we returned from the restaurant. The bar area is nice but we couldn’t get another drink as the bar closed at 11pm which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was ok the following morning. Again a no frills help yourself buffet with all the usual stuff. The location is good so if you’re going out around Greek street and want somewhere reasonably priced as opposed to luxury then yeh I’d recommend it.
