Fantastic B&B, we travelled to Salisbury for my partners birthday as it has so much history. I had made contact with Jackie prior to arrival as I wondered if we would be able to check in early and leave the car there so we could go out for the day, not a problem at all. Bedroom was lovely, nice and... More

Lovely couple run the place. Very comfortable room with fresh milk available for coffee and tea! Only 3 double rooms and breakfast is a shared table which encourages residents to chat. A sociable atmosphere. Delicious breakfast - make their own yoghurt. Easy to find and close to Salisbury centre and with easy access to Stonehenge.Would certainly highly recommend.

We stayed of the Avonlea guest house for two nights as a base from which to explore Salisbury. The couple who run the B&B - Jackie and John - were very welcoming and warm and run a very efficient enterprise. We stayed in room 1 which has a super king size bed which was very comfortable and well equipped and... More

This is my second visit and everything was perfect.again. Convenient location with bus stop outside, so we left the car. Open aspect over the rugby club. Really comfortable room and great breakfast. Really appreciated fresh milk for the room.

Lovely, friendly, clean, comfortable, easy to get too, close to old sarum, value for money, great breakfast, lovely hosts. A great experience. Well that pretty much sums up our overnight stay. We arrived after a rather long journey and were greeted by John and shown to our room...and helped with our bags. He answered all our questions and helped with... More

A very warm welcome awaits with full explanation of facilities by fabulous amiable hosts with a wealth of local knowledge regarding local attractions restaurants etc . Room one overlooks playing fields and a valley .The location is very good for sports fans specifically rugby union but also convenient for the city with a 'bus stop immediately outside .

We were visiting Salisbury for one night and chose Avonlea House after reading other guests' comments. Our welcome and our stay were exactly as we had hoped; Jackie even greeted us at the door using our first names - all four of us! This was the first time it has ever happened and it put us at our ease immediately.... More

Excellent location, perfect for getting into Salisbury centre, and very easy to find. We arrived late on Friday, and Jackie was kind and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. Breakfast was fantastic, and all amenities were provided for us. Would highly recommend.
