My partner and I along with a few friends booked Finch cottage for a place to stay whilst attending a wedding locally, Eddie & Karen were fantastic hosts, really warm, friendly and accommodating, the groomsmen had spent the previous night at the property, Eddie & Karen allowed us to check in early to get ready for the big day and then cleaned the property after we left ready for us to return that night to clean, comfy and welcoming bedrooms. The cottage has been finished and cleaned to a high standard, the breakfast was plentiful with fresh baked goods, alongside cereals, toast, fruit, porridge etc, and a wide choice of hot and cold drinks, everything you could possible want! The tea / coffee stations in the bedrooms were a godsend too! On top of all of this I had accidentally left my hair straighteners at the property, I contacted Karen that evening and she responded almost immediately offering to drop them off to me a couple of days later as she was due to attend an appointment nearby, but the trip to drop them off was definitely out of her way so went truly above and beyond my expectations! I am very grateful for the fantastic service we received, I highly recommend staying at Finch cottage, and cannot rate the hosts highly enough! Thank you for a great stay!!

Can;t fault anything about Finch Cottage. The building itself is beautiful, full of character, but restored and revamped to a high-spec so with a luxury modern feel internally. A lovely mix of old and new, which was charming. Karen and Eddie were the perfect hosts, making us and our 4 year old feel totally welcome and giving us all the information and assistance we needed to enjoy our overnight stay. The room was beautiful, with countryside views, luxury bathroom, lovely furniture and a huge 4 poster bed. Breakfast was delicious, gorgeous coffee and melt in your mouth pain au chocolat as we requested.Hoping to stay again sometime soon, maybe for the Solstice! Delighted we found it and would recommend.

My friend and I stayed at Finch Cottage when cycling the King Alfred’s Way. The booking and communication experience prior to our arrival was excellent. This was matched by the welcome Karen and Eddy extended to us throughout our short stay. The twin room is modern and impeccable clean. The ensuite shower provided a welcome opportunity to freshen up before venturing out for dinner. All facilities were available to wash and store our bicycles and pump the tyres up with a track pump. The beds were very comfortable and the extensive continental breakfast i fuelled us op the next morning. Finch Cottage is a beautiful place to stay and Karen and Eddy were wonderful hosts. I would visit again.

I stayed here with some friends of mine at the weekend for a girly get-away. I had the best weekend, Eddie and Karen went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing warm pastries and coffee every morning. I couldn't fault a thing, the place was spotless, beds were comfortable, bedding smelt amazing, towels were soft, the whole cottage was presented beautifully too. Eddie and Karen gave us recommendations on the best local places to eat and visit too. We had the best time and I hope to come back again soon, thank you both! :)

I booked this B&B to stay in the night before my wedding day. Karen & Eddie are absolutely delightful hosts and were there to welcome us when we arrived, they had even bought us a bottle of Prosecco which was a really lovely touch & much appreciated. The cottage is decorated very nicely & all the rooms are just perfect each having their own en-suite made it great for all of us to get ready in the morning. The beds are so comfy and everyone said how well they slept! The breakfast served in the morning was of a high standard and had a lot of choice. I will definitely be recommending Finch Cottage to others and hope to be able to return at some point! Thank you to both of you for such a lovely stay!!

Finch Cottage is a lovely B&B run by Karen and Eddie in a scenic village about 7 miles outside Salisbury. They are warm hosts who get the balance between over-hosting and under-hosting just right. The room we stayed in (number 3) was very nicely appointed with quality furnishings, an excellent mattress and well specified ensuite bathroom. The continental breakfast was of a high standard taken in a spacious dining room. We will certainly be returning in the future and I highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a good value and high quality B&B in that area.

Eddie and Karen were fab hosts who made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. They were friendly, warm and enjoyed chatting as much as we do. I especially liked how Eddie laughed at my terrible Star Wars joke 😀

We'd booked room 2 but we're fortunate enough to get upgraded to room 1 (with the 4-poster bed) and it was marvellous! The bed was incredibly comfy, the ensuite was luxurious and the views were beautiful at the front and back. There were tea and coffe making facilities in the room and the breakfast room downstairs made a great venue for playing the provided games (an Uno championship saw my wife totally defeated again!).

We visited the newly renovated George Hotel restaurant in nearby Amesbury for a delicious evening meal.

The continental breakfast at Finch Cottage was delicious and plentiful (more than we could even get close to finishing off), with a great selection of cereals, pastries, toast and fresh fruit. A pot of fresh coffee was provided along with fresh orange juice and a range of teas.

Highly recommended and we plan to visit again, for longer!

Super place to stay whilst cycling the King Alfred Way. Karen & Eddie made me feel very welcome, even though I arrived on a muddy mountain bike. Highly recommended. It is also directly on the route, and The Bridge pub was an excellent place for an evening meal just a short ride from the cottage.

The whole house is finished to a very high stanard in a stunning area. Breakfast very good with hot pastries. Hosts are very friendly and keen on making sure the detail is right. Plenty to do in the local area with Salisbury 2 air museums, plenty of walking.

My family and I were lucky enough to stay at Finch Cottage, Karen and Eddie could not have been more welcoming. The cottage was absolutely spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The cottage is very well laid out and immaculate. Great location for going to Stonehenge and surrounding areas. Could not recommend it more highly!
