Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We cannot really fault our stay at Caboose. From my initial communication when I had doubts about booking, to the clear instructions I received about how to check in after hours, and the wonderful staff and service while staying there. You get a Continental Breakfast with a great selection, a kettle and hot drink making facilities in your room, which also included soya and oat milk. There wasn't any sweetener. The building is located near a busy road, however it is within a stone's throw of Salisbury train station. Nice touches: There was a folder on the bed that greeted us when we arrived which told us everything we needed to know. Complimentary cans of still water and flapjacks were supplied and magically reappeared on the second day when we returned to our room. The 1920s Art Nouveau style definitely appealed to me and was one of the reasons why I chose to stay at Caboose. Our room was lovely, it was very clean and we loved its style and look. And it was a great price considering an eat as much as you want Continental Breakfast is included in the price of the room. Recommended. 👍😊

After researching hotels for mine & my partner’s birthday I decided to go with Caboose it looked funky had good reviews and looked like it had everything we were looking for. Upon arrival excited to get the party started as it was both of our birthdays we decided to hit the bar. However we were informed the bar was shut & was not reopening until the summer! Slightly disappointing however we were happy to venture into town. This hotel is very central and our room was spotless so could not fault them on this. However it would have been nice not to have had huge washing bag of dirty laundry in front of our door when we checked in kind of ruined the treat of booking a night away. Breakfast was very lack lustre and could have been better only continental was offered with a strange array of dried up pastries & odd meats. Nothing like the smell of bacon in the morning so this could definitely of been improved especially as there wasn’t hoards of guests eating at same time. All in all a pleasant stay but improvements could be made to make memorable. Best part of trip was visiting Tinga for our evening meal which is also owned by hotel.

We stayed for a night as two couples while visiting family in Salisbury. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We booked an afternoon in the parlour for cocktails which were amazing! The rooms were very comfortable and clean with an excellent shower, comfortable beds and lovely big fluffy towels. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the breakfast, they have recently changed to continental only and we felt the choice and quality of the food on offer was poor, they ran out of some items and some of the pastries were stale. We understand they are still finding their feet with the continental breakfast so hopefully this will improve. We would definitely stay again.

Really cool place that's easy to find and get to. Decor/atmosphere suave with excellent drinks. The room was fantastic with everything you need, it was fresh/modern/clean. Breakfast was excellent with great coffee and morning drinks too. All this for a great price, already have returned but will definitely go/stay again.

We booked Caboose last minute. I didn’t realise or actually read properly, that we had to give a couple of days notice if we wanted the afternoon tea but that wasn’t a problem, we were able to have a cream tea with a little extra. The scones were gorgeous, as were the other sweet treats. We then had a cocktail each, which were particularly lovely. The atmosphere and decor is stunning, really quirky. What really made our visit special was Jess. She couldn’t do enough for us. We were treated like we were the only people in there. We are already planning when to go back again. Thank you Caboose, we had the best time ☺️

We had the most wonderful girly afternoon tea. Caboose is so nicely decorated and it feels very luxurious. You get a lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches and unlimited tea of coffee. It was all delicious and far too much for us to eat it all. I opted for a class of English sparkling wine with mine. All very yummy and felt very decadent 😀

Booked a table for cocktails with friends and it was a great experience. Service was friendly and range of cocktails were great especially the signature ones which came with special decoration and touches. Only 2 improvements could be made - when I asked what a particular liquor was the staff member didn’t know. But to her credit she did find out and come back. The cream on the sweet nothings cocktails was too much. Half the amount would have suffice. But otherwise glorious! Some ambient background music would have been nice.

Dear Sue Clair, Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you had a great time, and that our staff are going on the hunt for the information guests need. With such a large cocktail list and hundreds of different ingredients, there is always room for staff to keep learning about the menu. It is always lovely to hear the guest experience was glorious. We try to amplify this with our music, playing a custom Jazz and lounge mix across the parlour that evening. Please do not hesitate to request to turn it up - guest experience is a number one priority for us at Caboose! We hope to see you back again. Kindest regards, Jessica Hotel Supervisor

Stayed for 2 nights this week with my partner. Really nice place. Outside of the building had lovely autumnal decorations around the door and inside the style was really good. Lovely artwork and colours. Staff were very nice and recommended places to go and places to eat. Room was clean and tidy with nice decor and a good modern bathroom with great shower. Bed was really comfy and there was air conditioning too which was a great bonus. Breakfast was ok, I had vegetarian and partner had full English on our first morning and we both agreed it tasted nice, just not as nice as we had hoped. However! Second morning I opted for scrambled eggs and a hash brown, he again had full English and this time both were really good. No complaints at all. Hotel is near city centre with attractions like the cathedral only a short walk away. Right by the train station too so easy to get to. Would definitely stay here again if we visit!

Had a spur of the moment visit here on Saturday night when we found ourselves at a loose end while visiting Salisbury for the evening. We arrived only an hour before closing time but were made very welcome nonetheless and managed to get plenty of drinks in, still! The staff were so friendly, and the drinks were so good, it was really a fantastic way to finish the evening off. The bar has amazing decor and a lovely relaxed vibe. The drinks are reasonably priced and there’s a great choice. We’ll definitely pay another visit if we find ourselves in the area again, this time hopefully with a stay in the hotel too, and I’d thoroughly recommend the bar for a lovely evening out.
