Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Good value on Sundays. The only trouble was that it was very cold with no radiators. It had just a air con system which are great at cooling but poor at heating and a towel rail in the bathroom that did nothing. The weatherspoons pub downstairs was also filthy with food heaped up on... More

Great hotel in the city just minutes from the shops and Cathedral. Our room was very large, very comfortable and really well furnished. The bathroom was large and modern with a bath and a separate shower. The room had tea and coffee making facilities and full wi-fi. The staff were welcoming and helpful and we had a great stay. And... This hotel is fabulously located in the hear of Salisbury. Although it doesn't have its own car park there is a huge one nearby. The bedroom was superb and we liked the fact that the bathroom was separately located off the corridor making it feel like a small flat. We stayed on a Sunday so the room rate was unbelievably... Amazing building with crazy convoluted halls and rooms. Some staff were very helpful, some were not really interested. The room overlooked the courtyard which you would expect to be quite lively, but was also really noisy after closing - bottles crashing, noisy trolleys, crashing and banging. The room itself was clean and well presented, as Wetherspoons usually are. Lovely touch... More

You get what you pay for! Room was as expected. Bed very comfy, usual tea/coffee making facilities. Reception is via a lift from one of the pub entrances. Reception staff very helpful and professional. Reasonably priced. If you get a room which faces the street, be aware that although the bathroom glass is frosted(outside window) it is still see through!!... More

The King's Head Inn is an outstanding choice for anyone looking to stay in Salisbury. The location is a short walk from the train station and puts you close to central Salisbury, the Cathedral Close, and the bus pick up for Stonehenge. The staff were friendly and were able to help out with questions we had about getting around and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The site of this Wetherspoon pub has been occupied by an inn since the 15th century. By c1520, it was known as the King's Head, and it retained that name until it was rebuilt in the 1880s. The County Hotel was, itself, a change of name some time during the 1880s or 1890s. Before then, it was the Kings Head and Brewery. We have 33 individual bedrooms. All of our rooms are en suite and include tea- and coffee-making facilities, air conditioning, a hair dryer, TV and free Wi-Fi, also available in the pub. Please be aware that we are a Lloyds No 1 bar so we will be playing music in the pub from Thursday to Saturday nights. Limited quiet rooms are available so please telephone in advance to request one. We have no onsite parking but there is a city centre car park we recommend that is only a 3-5 minute walk away. You are able to stop on the pub entrance to unload your luggage before you go and park. ... more   less
