I visited this boutique hotel, and I must say it was outstanding! The food was smashing, the staff were even better, and Ross the general manager is very welcoming. I stayed in one of the superior rooms and I felt that it was great value for money. Very comfy bed.. I’ll definitely be coming back

I stayed here with my husband over the Bank Holiday weekend. We arrived early, and although baggage storage is available, our room was ready and we checked in straight away- a real bonus! The hotel looks like it was a former coach house, and the entrance to the car park and reception is through an arch. There are rooms above reception, above the dining area and ground level motel style rooms along to the left as you go through the arch facing the car park. The car park is small with very limited turning room. Based on the reviews of this, we decided to park at Windsor and Eton Riverside station car park a 10 min walk from the hotel and only £8 to park for the weekend if you download the Ringo app. The room was clean comfortable and modern- with a fantastic shower and large tv and good wife. Tea and coffee are supplied in your room, along with a bottle of water. There is a bar in the hotel and a small outside seating area adjacent to the car park. the dining area is opposite the reception on the other side of the arch and they serve a great breakfast, with veggie options available. The staff at the hotel are fantastic- nothing is too much trouble and we received excellent service from check in to check out, If you need anything dont hesitate to ask them!. the hotel is within easy walk of Eton college, Windsor Castle, the river and all the shops and other attractions in the area.

We stayed overnight before a flight from Heathrow and found the whole experience first class.
the staff were very welcoming - offering us a free welcome drink which was a very nice touch and they could not have been more welcoming.
The rooms were really lovely and nice and quiet and spotless and very easy to access from the car park - so great if you have some people who don't want to walk far.
The breakfast again lovely.
A really good alternative to the bland and overprice airport hotels. I couldn't fault it.

We’ve just returned from a weekend stay at The Christopher Hotel. The location for us was perfect and I’d much prefer to stay Eton side rather than in Windsor which was only a 10 min if that walk away.
Check in was hassle free, we parked our car at around 2.30 and checked into our room at 3.
Was pleased with our room, looked like it had recently been refurbished with certainly new carpet. The shower was huge and powerful and luxury The White Company toiletries provided.
Extremely comfortable bed. Our only problem was the window as it wouldn’t stay open so wedged some shoes so we could get some air. Although a fan is provided it just blows around the warm air.
Our room was in the courtyard area upstairs and both nights there were some very noisy guests in the early hours which was not good for a
Light sleeper but do think it’s polite not to be making so much noise at 2.30am and again at 5.30am.
At check in we were asked what time we’d be eating our breakfast which did throw us a bit, so stay at 8 we went down, everything was explained to us and we sat down and waited for our toast. Personally with all the artisan bakeries you have about it would be nice to have some quality bread, or at least serve thick sliced.
My avocado on toast with poached egg was lovely as was my husband’s full English.
The following morning, again we went for 8am, both ladies saw us at the door and didn’t acknowledge us, eventually they did and we sat at our table. Breakfast was enjoyable but maybe some music like there was on Saturday morning would’ve been nice instead of hearing the conversation In the kitchen.
We didn’t eat dinner here so can’t comment.
All in all it was an enjoyable stay and one we would do again if we decided to visit the area again.

I booked this because it was dog friendly and close to Windsor. We stayed two nights and would happily have stayed longer. The room (a courtyard king size) was fab with a great shower. The food, breakfast and particularly the evening meal we had was really tasty and well worth the money. What made this a truly great experience though were the management and the team. They were amazing and it was clear that they all really like dogs. Freddie (our dalmatian) was made to feel like royalty. A special thanks to Laura, who was simply amazing. Thanks everyone!

Parking was tight (we have a big car) but felt safe and convenient. Access to the dog field was handy if a little overgrown when we went, The room was rather warm even with a window open and no heating. With an outside temperature of low 14c and high 18c we still need the very handy room fan supplied. It's really close to Heathrow, so do expect to hear planes.

Stayed for two nights on a secret escapes deal primarily as a base to attend horse race meetings in the area.
I requested a quiet room and parking before arrival and received confirmation of both, also booked evening meals on both nights which their IT system acknowledged and was able to deal accurately with subsequent changes.
We were allocated room 3 which is in the main hotel building, a little apprehensive about street noise as it overlooked eton high street but it was ok. The stairs to the first floor are steep and barrow to was pleased to accept help with our bags. Room is lovely and its evident the staff take pride in their hotel.
Parking is a little tight, larger SUVs would struggle to get in and out but fine for normal cars.
Food is excellent, breakfast choice good with my better half having her favourite eggs benedict and my full english prepared with quality produce...particularly good sausage. Evening meals equally good, the duck deserving a particular recommendation.
Hotel is very well located only a short stroll to windsor and close to main motorways.

We stayed for two nights in a Superior/Premium room and the room was lovely. Katie on reception was really nice when I rang to book and accommodated my preferences and matched the Secret Escapes price, and the reception staff were really helpful when we arrived providing us with things such as a Dyson fan when we said the room was a bit warm. The bed was huge and super comfy, and the bathroom was clean and modern with a nice big bath and separate standing showering which was nice and powerful. We were in the main building and facing the road, which was fine and only noisy when someone with a suped-up engine on their car would zoom down. Breakfast had a good selection, and the staff were accommodating but could have cleared tables a little more efficiently. I liked that you got a complementary welcome drink in the bar when you were ready, and gentleman who served us in the evening when we arrived was also really personable and gave great service. Overall I would definitely recommend.

A dear friend of mine was moving far away, this was one of our last opportunities to dine with him for the foreseeable future. Ross (the GM), as well as his team, made us feel quite at home. The service was outstanding, everything was thought of and the attention to detail in the dining area was immaculate.

The menu was varied but not so overwhelming; very well balanced. My compliments to the chef as well, the steak was more enjoyable than that of some 4/5 star resorts I have dined at. The portion sizes were adequate, leaving plenty of space for deserts. The pricing is very fair for the quality of meal they were putting on the table, especially in today’s day and age which is rare! But I digress...

If you’re looking for a delicious dinner out, in a cosy restaurant without lots of background noise, this is the place! Very pretty out door seating area, and very clean indoor restaurant. I shall definitely be back.

To the Christopher Hotel Staff, I thank you.

My wife and I have just returned from our latest visit to this delightful little hotel (about 50 rooms), on Eton High Street about 200m from the footbridge across to Windsor. (There is also a sister hotel, the Royal Adelaide, in Windsor near the Long Walk).

Near The Christopher there are a variety of local pubs, restaurants and coffee bars all within five minutes' walking distance. Parking is available for £15/day or, for non-drivers, Windsor & Eton Riverside station is only 5 or 6 minutes' walk away, across the footbridge.

Room prices are very reasonable and the hotel staff always provide a warm welcome. We have now stayed around five times at the Christopher Hotel (not to be confused with The Sir Christopher Wren Hotel about 300m away, on the Windsor side of the bridge). The courtyard rooms behind the main hotel building offer a tranquil setting and easy access to the outside decking, where breakfast or, later in the day, drinks from the bar can be taken.

First things first and being honest, I thought I had booked the Sir Christpher Wren Hotel for 3 nights, but I got caught out on booking.com by selecting the Christopher as it came at the top of the search list.
Anyway, the CHRISTOPHER Hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Eaton and Windsor for business or pleasure, just do not expect any luxuries. It is probably more similar to a 'motel' than a hotel in that the rooms are accessed directly of the internal road. Free parking is a big bonus though!
Breakfast was a bit of a mishap and the service was not great especially if you plan to go at 7am when it is supposed to start. Had to get the receptionist as no-one was there to serve after 20 mins waiting. He did his best but it was obvious whoever was in the kitchen was of no help to him. Cereal served with no milk. and no spoon, and the toast was warm bread! Imagine if I had wanted a cooked breakfast?
They have extended a seating terrace over what appears to have been handicapped parking spaces in front of our room. We were asked to move our car frim the space infront (not marked handicapped) to allow another guest to use it. Not an issue to move except we now had to squeeze past another guests car to get in and out of our room.
Also the room has no air conditioning and was stiffling hot.
Basically if you do not have high expectations you wont be dissapointed, but remember it is basically a motel.

Hi , no it’s not far from the station at Windsor at all . Just out of the station , over the little bridge and along the high street . Ten minutes walk or less . I would highly recommend this hotel ☺️
Answer from Ross Munro
Good afternoon, it is probably best to phone or email reservations as there are several different permutations of room. I'm afraid there is no lift.
