Thanks a million to Laurent for a wonderful stay at the Bakehouse! Laurent goes out of his way to make the guests feel completely at home with his friendly demeanor and great conversations. He is quick to recommend local attractions and restaurants, and takes great pride in the tasty meals which he prepares each evening. The rooms are spotless, the food is delicious, the internet is fast, and the hospitality is top-notch...there is a reason that many of his guests are return customers! Highly recommended!

This was my second stay in the Bakehouse, and once again I was so impressed by the hospitality and welcome I received; as adapted as the precautions taken to keep myself and the other guests safe in light of Covid-19. There was hand santizer on every corner, the guest tea and coffee station was adapted to be safer, and even breakfast and dinner was carefully thought out and socially distanced. I could not wish for a better BnB or host, and I look forward to staying with Laurent during my next visit!

I stayed at the Bakehouse on a recent business trip.. first impression was the bedroom was comfortable and clean.
The bathroom was across the hallway and was always easily accessible and well looked after. The location was very quiet in a residential picturesque street, and within close proximity to Maidenhead town centre.
Laurent was a great host, making sure everything was ok during my stay and provided a great breakfast in the mornings. I would recommend the Bakehouse and would stay here again..

I stayed at the Bakehouse as part of a training course I was booked onto and would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone staying in the area. Laurent cannot do enough for you and would always go above and beyond!

The accommodation was clean and well maintained and had everything you would ever need.

Would like to say a massive thank you to Laurent for everything he did.

I recently stayed at The Bakehouse Guest House for 12 nights in order to attend my practical training for the Foot Course at the SMAE Institute.
I have to say I had a wonderful stay with a lovely double room, with very comfortable bed.
Laurent who is the owner is a very nice person and a fantastic cook. I opted to have a home cooked meal most nights since I knew that the course I was attending would be full on with lots of homework. I was the envy of all my friends and colleagues at the SMAE who were on the course with me because each morning I came in telling them all about my lovely meal the previous evening.
Laurent's meals were two courses, either a starter and main, or a main course and a dessert, and very reasonable pricewise.
My husband came to stay with me over the middle weekend( which was the last Bank Holiday in May), and Laurent made him very welcome and cooked for us both.
I have made a number of new friends whilst I was away for those 12 days and Laurent is definitely one of them.
I will know where to stay in the future when I return to Maidenhead for any other courses or if my husband and I decide to come to Maidenhead for a short break in the future.
Thank you Laurent, and I wish you well.

We've used the Bakehouse several times as we have family living in Maidenhead. Every time has been wonderful. The house is spotless, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is made to order and is delicious, and the host, Laurent, is very friendly and knowledgeable. He's also been a wonderful source of information as we've navigated a move from South Africa to England.

We travelled to Maidenhead for a family occasion and the Bakehouse was perfectly situated.
Laurent, the owner, met us in the car park. Which is secure and a real bonus.
Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed including an ironing board and tea tray. The bedding and towels were of a high quality and enhanced our stay.
Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, we loved chatting with Laurent as he created it.
On the last morning I was suffering from a migraine and missed breakfast, Laurent sent up orange juice and a vase of daffodils to cheer me up.
The Bakehouse Guest House is simply one of the best b&bs we have stayed in and a great alternative to generic chain hotel.

Thank you Laurent for your hospitality and sense of humour.

The title says it all- this is pretty much the perfect BnB. The host will happily bend over backwards for his guests, and makes you feel at home right away. The Bakehouse is clean, tidy and exceptionally well maintained; even the secure parking area is manicured. The breakfast is delicious and cooked to order, so you can have whatever you like. Overall a 10/10 rating, and I am looking forward to my next stay.
