Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very welcoming, comfortable hotel, the staff were really helpful in a discreet way. Breakfast was well stocked and hot, dinner menu was just right. The bar area gave plenty of options from formal to casual. The room, despite being on the main road didn't suffer from any traffic noise. The room had plenty of facilities and the bed oh so comfortable. To top it all, the hotel is a minute's walk from Windsor Castle and the shopping street. We were looked after very well, the best so far this year.

The main part of the hotel was well maintained and interiors were very nice, the location of the hotel is excellent. However our room 213 - was okay but a little tired in some parts, with some attention needed. The water in bath didn’t drain either. Breakfast was disappointing, the choice of food available was good, however limited Gluten free options and the hot food was lukewarm, coffee also came cold. Several times are food/drinks were taken to a different table too. Dinner in the evening was very nice, the restaurant was quiet, but overpriced drinks. £17 for a Aperol Spritz is ridiculous. Car park is £30 over night in the hotel car park - extremely expensive for a paying guest.

Hi, We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you enjoyed aspects of your stay, such as the hotel's main areas and its location. However, we apologise for the issues you encountered in your room and during breakfast. Rest assured, we'll address these concerns to ensure a better experience for future guests. We're delighted you enjoyed your evening meal but regret the disappointment with drink prices. Regarding the parking prices, we measure against other parking facilities including hotels within Windsor and remain competitive, and cheaper than our neighbouring hotel! Kind regards, Lee (Reception Manager)

We stayed for one night as a special treat to celebrate my wife's 60th Birthday. Everyone was very helpful regarding the booking (I booked direct). The room was well equipped and overlooked the high street / Guild Hall. The daily changing of the guard passes by the front of the hotel so you are well placed for a good view. We were not disturbed by any traffic noise or from adjoining rooms. The staff were very professional, polite & friendly. When we arrived, my wife was greeted with a special Happy Birthday plate in the room which was a very nice touch. We also enjoyed a complimentary drink in the bar. There was a great choice for breakfast and the quality of the food was very good. We used the hotel parking which is located at the rear of the hotel. The charge was £30 for 24 hours. That allowed us to leave the car at the hotel whilst we explored the castle & town the following day. We very much enjoyed our stay and appreciated the help & kindness of all the staff. Thanks.

I had a super stay: everyone in the team is polite, friendly and very helpful. The room was comfy and clean room. I had a lovely dinner looked after brilliantly by a welcoming team. And then I ended my stay with an excellent breakfast to send me happy and content on my way. I could not recommend the hotel and its wonderful team highly enough. 10 out of 10!

A one night stay for business and pleasure, with my wife. Still (after 50 years since I last used it) a very pleasant hotel. Our room was comfy and quiet. We had a very nice evening meal in the Leaf restaurant, and breakfast in the morning filled us for the day. Excellent range of items for breakfast. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, and , at our age of crustiness, it was nice to have someone bring bags to our room. Parking fine. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel for those wanting to stay close to the Castle and visit Windsor.

Lovely setting in the centre of Windsor. But the afternoon tea was just ok! No waiters about, so the service was incredibly slow - our tea was forgotten, we were missing a set of cutlery for half the time, we had to ask for water three times. Then we started at empty plates for half an hour before any waitresses came into the room. A disappointing experience on what was meant to be a special birthday treat We won’t be back any time soon..

I’ve had a truly enjoyable time staying at the Windsor Castle Hotel. Even though I was staying there just for one night before I departed back to Canada I was treated with the highest of hospitality from all the staff members. In particular, David the Concierge, who helped me with my luggage, showed me to my room, and gave great knowledge of the area during my stay. The location is ideal just a stones throw away from the castle itself and indirect group to watch the changing of the guards!

This is a lovely hotel right across the street from Windsor Castle. The public areas are whimsical and comfortable. We stayed in room 101, a king room with a view of the castle. The room was clean, modern and well decorated and the mattress was very comfortable. We were well insulated from street noise and heard nothing all night. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. We prearranged our own transportation from the hotel to LHR that no-showed in the morning. Riya at the front desk came to our rescue and had a local driver at the hotel within 5 minutes that was actually cheaper than what I had arranged. Windsor was lovely and the Castle Hotel is a gem.

Really nice hotel in super-convenient central Windsor location, close to both railway stations and bus stops. We left the car at home as the cost of parking far exceeded the cost of train tickets. Excellent dinner and breakfasts. Attentive and very pleasant staff in the dining room. Great value for money!
