We had a long layover at London Heathrow Airport and booked the Charles House due to its convenience to and from the airport, as well as the convenient method of keypad entry. It was a lovely, cozy, clean, well-appointed room. It was also quiet, even though it was on the busy

On arrival we found parking easily in the public car park less than 100 yards down the road to the right of the property. The entry system was super and again it worked well at the room doors. The rooms were nicely decorated, well appointed and thoroughly clean. The tea tray was

Stayed 2 nights in the Victoria room with a friend as we were attending a wedding in the Guildhall. Lovely large room and the info sent would put some larger branded hotels to shame. Easy walking distance to station(s) once you know. Will be coming to stay again.

This is a great guesthouse in a great location for the town. Stayed in The Victoria Room on the ground floor. Very clean, very spacious and very cosy. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board and heaters/coolers provided. The no key access is a great idea so can come and go as you please.

Hi Sharon it is a 'quick start breakfast' a selection of cereals, milk and juice. I charge £3.00 - the guest above said it wasn't great but it is a service I add if guests are having to rush off early in the morning and don't have time to walk up to town. If you went to a cafe and ordered cereals and juice and had a selection of 4 different teas, 3 different coffee's and hot chocolate they would certainly charge more than £3.00. As with all services there is a cost over and above the price of the goods, I have to go and buy the items, there is a cost to put them in the room, clear and wash up. Anyway, I always suggest guests go to town if they have the time as there are loads of lovely places to have a cooked breakfast.

is there on site parking?
I do not have on site parking but there is a public car park about 50 yards away from Charles House which costs £1.50 overnight or maximum £8.00 per day. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Barbara allowed me to leave my luggage underneath the stairs in the entrance hall. I picked it up in the afternoon. It is safe to do this providing you leave no valuables in the bag/s. You need to tell Barbara on arrival via a text message that you would like to do this.
