We have three self contained self catering apartments housed in a converted barn, just a short walk from the Thames towpath and the famous Dorney Rowing Lake. On the ground floor we have The Smithy, a cosy studio apartment, 2 beds and 2 sofa beds, and Wisteria a one bedroom apartment overlooking fields, 2 beds and 1 double sofa bed. Upstairs is our loft apartment, Gardener's Bothy with a cosy bedroom for 2 ( 2 single beds ) and a tiny bedroom under the eaves but just big enough for a full sized 3ft single bed. All of the apartments have modern kitchens and showers... Gardener's Bothy's shower is over the bath.

Well located for windsor area, Wisteria apartment is very spacious with a lovely stable door overlooking Dorney Common, the kitchen is well laid out and well equipped. The bedroom has plenty of storage. The apartments are situated at the end of a dead end lane in a quiet location.
There is a shared laundry area and also a brick built bbq in the garden
The decking is a great place to enjoy outdoor dining and to sit and watch the sunset together with the planes heading for Heathrow
We were lucky to see deer grazing in the common most mornings and evening.
We enjoyed lunch at the Palmers Arms which is a 20 minutes walk along the lane in Dorney.
There are plenty of walks all around the area, Windsor is about a 50 min walk, turn left out of the garden area and follow the footpath along the Thames.
The hop on bus in Windsor is a good way of seeing the area.
Dinah the apartments manager was excellent with communication and directions.
we were lucky to see the changing of the guards at the castle which was a really spectacle
We were sad to leave and would highly recommend the apartments to those looking to explore Windsor and the surrounding area

We stayed in the Wisteria apartment to celebrate my husband's birthday - it's proximity to Windsor was fantastic as he used to live in the area many years ago. The accommodation was immaculate and very well equipped in a secluded location. It was ideal for our cocker spaniel as there were walks from the doorstep and it was a very safe environment for him. Lovely walks to Boveney lock and along the Thames path. Special thanks to Dinah the manager whose communication was excellent.

We have just returned from a great stay at Dorney Self Catering Apartments. We have stayed at this property several times before and the location is peaceful and beautiful. It is a set in a quiet area just a couple of minutes walk from the River Thames and Boveney Lock. There is a path along the river all the way into Windsor, which you can walk or cycle along. We took our bikes and paddle board and used both to explore the area. The apartments themselves have recently been renovated to a high standard and are equipped with everything you need to have comfortable stay. The host Dinah is wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. If you want to go to Lego Land this is a perfect base and just a 20 minute drive away. We also managed a couple of trips into London which is easily reached by car or train. There is so much to do i this beautiful part of the country and we will definitely come back again. We highly recommend a stay at this property to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

Cute, cosy, compact and well appointed holiday bolt hole close to many visitor attractions including Marlow, Henley, Windsor, Eton, Boulters Lock, Dorney Court, Dorney Lake and the Crocus Café, Our 9 night stay at The Smithy has been an absolute joy. Exceptional hosts and peaceful location a few minutes walk from the river. It's not spacious but it comes highly recommended.

Amazing location right on the common and just down the path from the Thames with a beautiful ruined church and tow path for walks. The apartment was spotless and provided everything we needed. A couple of pint glasses would be nice and one of the mattresses has seen better days but the location trumps everything. Easy to drive to Slough and get Elizabeth Line to central London. Takeaways and a decent local shop 5 min drive over the common.

Myself and 15 other friends have stayed here each summer for the past 4 years and love every minute, it is the best weekend of the year! Its not quite your normal weekend, we wear headbands, vests, each represent a country and take part in our very own Olympics. The site is perfect for what we need, BBQ, big garden, 16 beds, great location, and owners who are very accommodating and easy to deal with. Even when we caused some minor damage, they were very reasonable and left us to our own thing. Would full recommend and we are already planning our 5th year at the Olympic village in Dorney!

Stayed here for a couple of nights during half term. I much prefer apartments to hotel rooms with my children as the toddler is an early riser which is a nightmare in one room. Was easy to find using satnav. We stayed in Gardeners Bothy which is small but perfectly adequate and comfortable with everything you need. We never needed to contact the owners for any reason. Laundry facilities very welcome with our messy children on a very wet and muddy weekend. Beds comfortable and enough hot water for baths and showers. These are not 'modern' apartments so dont be expecting luxury, but they are great value for money when you need a bit more than one hotel room. Would recommend.

Stayed here for a Hen Do. Worked fantastically with the separate sleeping arrangements and sprawling outdoor areas. Absolutely great accommodation, welcoming host. A hidden gem and very very well priced!!

What an amazing find... We had my hen party here and it was definitely one to remember. The apartments were perfect with everything we needed and comfy beds and the owners were so welcoming. We had a mad hatters tea party in the garden and the setting was perfect for it. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We went here for my nieces hen weekend and had a great time the apartments ( we rented all three apartments)they have microwaves and one of the apartments had a dishwasher they are also very bright and clean and looked out to the surrounding countryside. on the10 minute walk to the village of Dorney you pass cows just wondering around its a beautiful place
