Nestled in the lea of Broadway hill and standing in a little over eight acres of parkland grounds and gardens you will find the romantic Cotswold hideaway, Abbots Grange. Secluded, yet only 2 minutes walk from Broadway's 'picture perfect' village high street with its delightful array of independent boutique shops, restaurants and inns. This magical, award winning monastic manor has all the comforts you would expect from an AA five gold star 'highly commended' guest house. Bedrooms are equipped to a high standard with four poster beds, flat screen TVs and seating areas. Beds in all rooms and suites are dressed with the finest Egyptian cotton sheets to ensure a blissful nights sleep. Thick, fluffy white towels, bath robes and complimentary toiletries complete the en-suite bathrooms. The oldest dwelling in Broadway, Abbots Grange was built in about 1320 as the summer manor for the Abbot of Pershore. There are over 700 years of history to absorb here, perhaps while you unwind in front of the roaring log fire over afternoon tea... or by candlelight after dinner? Breakfast at Abbots Grange is a celebration of all things local. Served in the panelled dining room at the round table, you will find a mouth watering selection of fresh berries and seasonal fruits. Local sausages and smoked bacon together with Cotswold free range eggs. We offer a delicious vegetarian full English breakfast alternative, artisan baked breads and pastries from our own bakery - Huffkins - together with freshly brewed 100% Arabica coffees and loose leaf teas.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a family weekend at Abbots Grange, with 5 of us taking 3 rooms in the oldest part of the building. A really special and memorable weekend. Made to feel very welcome from start to finish. The rooms are special, the staff outstanding and a lot of really nice little touches. It felt incredibly homely. We stay in many 5 star hotels around the world, and this is 'up there' in terms of overall experience. We will be back very soon. Andrew Martin and family

Property's Favourite Review
We have stayed at Abbots Grange several times, and each trip has been fantastic. Unique, intimate and luxurious, you come away feeling cosseted and refreshed. The manor house is stunning, and situated just a stone's throw from picturesque Broadway. The historic great room has hosted famous artists and writers, and is a really relaxing place to sit by a roaring fire with a glass of wine. The environment is peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are all beautiful and different. We have stayed in the Elizabethan suite, Millet and Morris. All equally sumptuous, with ensuite bath/shower rooms, and pillowy comfortable four poster beds. Thoughtful touches include chocolates, tea, coffee and biscuits. Save room for the delicious breakfasts, where there is a very wide choice of cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, cereal, porridge, yoghurt, fruit, juices etc. The portions are generous. The service is a standout, friendly and attentive, without being too obtrusive. Thanks to Stacey, Val, Karen and crew, nothing is too much trouble. The owners of Abbots Grange have clearly put considerable thought into the ultimate guest experience, with an eye to detail that is quite unique. Since our last stay, a welcome addition includes a courtesy drinks bar, and apparently, afternoon teas and charcuterie plates will soon be on offer. We have visited in the Winter, which is festive and cosy, or the Summer, when you can really appreciate the beautiful grounds, summer house, tennis court and outdoor seating area, with firepit. The only problem with this place is that it is hard to leave, and hard to beat. We will be back!

We stayed in the Coachhouse which is located within the grounds. The room was absolutely beautiful with wonderful views. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The actual hotel is beautifully decorated and is the most romantic place with an open fire, a wonderful small bar area. The hotel is also located perfectly at the centre of Broadway. We will definitely be returning. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

My spouse and I stayed for four nights in October, 2023. We had a wonderful stay. The bed is comfortable, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, and the combination of being practically right on the High Street while having a view of the English countryside out the back made for a unique experience. Highly recommend!

A charming and intimate Hotel. The welcome from the reception was lovely. We were greeted with champagne and shown around the building, which boasted a lovely large room with an open fire. We were also treated to complementary cake and coffee. The room was lovely and spacious, and the 4 poster bed was extremely comfortable. There is lovely selections of tea and coffee in the room and the breakfast was amazing. The atmosphere is quite magical as the setting for this residence is a 14th century Abbott. It was relaxing and not pretentious at all. Whoever runs this establishment is very skilled at creating the right ambience. The setting is in Broadlands, a charming civil parish in Worcestershire where there are beautiful boutique shops, chocolatiers, restaurants, pubs and coffee houses. We visited for an anniversary and it exceeded our expectations.

Abbots Grange, a manor house dating to the 13th century, leaves me at a loss for (good) words. The grounds, accommodations, and location are simply extraordinary. Despite the age of the structure, it was as comfortable and clean as a modern hotel, with modern bathroom fixtures and luxurious bedding. If you. are looking for a special place to stay in the Cotswolds, look no further.

We travel extensively throughout the world and Abbots Grange was far beyond our highest expectations. It is a meticulously maintained historical gem (14th century) with spacious suites, great staff and yummy breakfasts featuring many options. Nothing could be better at beautiful Abbots Grange in its well hidden private estate, just steps away from Broadway known for its many shops and restaurants, and convenient access to Cotswold regional villages. BTW, the two red haired resort dogs are so sweet. Treat yourself to a wonderful holiday.

Very nice folks hosting a very well kept historically significant property that is perfectly located in a signature English village. Rooms and views vary so consider calling the hosts to discuss what choices may be available. Broadway is loaded with tourists - until 4 PM - then its will be just you and the friendly locals.

This was lovely historic manor house, with views over the hills and dales, but which backed up to the village. The village catered to tourists. We were treated to tea when we arrived, and breakfast was lovely. We were upgraded to the Coach House room, which was newly finished and felt very spacious with a full length balcony window that gave us a view for miles. The service was very good and we could tell that the grounds were lovingly cared after. In the evening we went out the back gate to the local pub, which was recommended to us, which we enjoyed heartily. The Crown and Trumpet Pub was a meeting place for the locals and their dogs, who allowed in the outdoor area. We loved it, especially seeing dogs and their humans greeting their friends. Do not miss Sudeley Castle when you are in the area. It was more interesting than most and a little off the normal tourist trail.
