This is a lovely house - nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was one of the best we have had - freshly cooked to pre-order. Would definitely stay here again.

Not a run-of-the-mill guesthouse. Not your run-of-the-mill Mine Hosts. Windrush House is an exceptionally comfortable guesthouse. Kate is the most friendliest of ladies you could wish to meet. We felt relaxed as soon as you enter Windrush House. Everywhere is spotless, breakfast is amazing. Kate works so hard to ensure all the guests are well looked after. We will recommend to or friends and everyone. Full marks!

We spent one night at Windrush House during our Cotswolds walking tour. Our room, the Snowshill, had a deliciously comfortable four-poster (and an impressive hand-stenciled wall). One of my clearest memories of our entire trip is collapsing on that bed for a luxurious nap after a long day. Like RamblinRae, we much enjoyed the swooping swallows. Clearly the hosts, Robin and Kate, give their furnishings a lot of attention and care. But more important is how thoughtful and congenial they are, and how delectable their breakfast is--served between French doors leading on to the garden and a charming sitting area with comfortable sofas and lots of magazines. Windrush is an easy walk from Broadway High Street (and a stroll up that street after dinner, when few people are about, is highly recommended for viewing the charming manor houses, cottages, and gardens in the gloaming).

We stayed here for one night while walking in the Cotswolds. Kate and Nixie (the dog) were very welcoming and Kate even offered to make us a cup of tea on arrival. Our room was lovely with a four poster bed and all the comforts we could wish for. We were very happy to have access to a small fridge for fresh milk. Breakfast was delicious with a good range of local produce and home-made preserves. Kate has provided plenty of signs listing the house rules – one, for example, asking that boots be removed on entry to the house. It worked, and we did. We’d happily stay here again.

Thank you for your kind comments and for removing your boots, which was appreciated. Many people cannot see the problem with walking into our carpeted home having walked through mud, sheep and cattle fields and after 6 years we thought we would place a sign so guests are prepared to be asked! We are delighted you enjoyed our local breakfast and maybe we will see you again in the future. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday.

Robin and Kate are complete gems. Our room was utterly charming, spacious, comfortable, and with every amenity carefully considered. The bed was excellent. Breakfast was heavenly. These two hosts truly and deeply care about their guests. Windrush House is the pinnacle of B&B hospitality. (And, "downtown" Broadway can be busy and noisy especially in high season. Windrush House is a five-minute walk away but nice and quiet. The swallows dancing and swooping in front of our window was a highlight.) I'd return in a heartbeat.
