Charming building with some amazing history attached to it. The spa was lovely as was some drinks by the open fire. However, the modern "Cosy" rooms are very tired and are in some desperate need of some TLC. Me and the wife don't get away often due to 2 young children, but when we do we like to book something...

We got married in The Cromwell Room on Saturday 3rd December 2016 The 4 guests had all travelled a long way and were not disappointed. It was a 2 night stay for just our small wedding party of 6 people and we cannot fault the experience. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, the rooms were lovely and the food...

We re-visited The Lygon arms again for the late night xmas shopping weekend in Broadway and find it just as delightful as last year. We stayed in Orchard cottage at the rear of the hotel and the staff were just as warm and welcoming as our last visit. following our stay last year we commented on the buffet style breakfast...

Beautiful old building with many classic features. Very friendly & welcoming staff seem genuinely pleased to engage with you and customer service is definitely 5*.Valet parking is available and our luggage was taken to our room whilst we indulged in pre booked spa treatments. Our evening meal in the great hall restaurant was amazing with first class food & unobtrusive,yet...

Dear old friend, I have reviewed you before, but sad to say there is nothing new I can say which is positive. Your old parts are still, well, old (and beautiful with it.) so no change there. Please stay old.You are good at that. Your great hall service completely failed to deliver because you were full. Again no change there....

This is such a characterful property full of history, having had many famous guests, it is in a wonderfully central location. Service was very good everywhere you went from the reception to the restaurant and so on. Rooms were shall we say unique, from four poster beds creaking floor boards uneven floors, mullioned windows, ancient but effective heating systems, combined...

Fantastic hotel with wonderful and helpful staff. Took my partner there to celebrate her birthday and to enjoy some pampering. The bedrooms were beautiful and well appointed with everything you needed. Had food in the bar and in the restaurant both were very good. Superb spa with great pool and wide choice of treatments. I would highly recommend this hotel...

Our party of four had a lovely lunch in quiet, elegant surroundings in this beautiful old hotel. The service was attentive and the quality of food excellent. They catered very well for my friend who can only eat gluten free food, which was much appreciated. Certainly not cheap but well worth the extra cost compared to other restaurants in Broadway....

My wife and I stayed in this hotel to celebrate her Birthday. The hotel is a maze of beautiful old rooms that just scream character, from the great hall, which is the main restaurant, to the lounges, with their old stone fireplaces. The staff were very professional and attentive. We had our elderly dog with us, and were given room...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 78 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in The Great Hall, Barringtons our typical all day dining brasserie or have lunch, a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. . ... more   less
