Virtually everything about “The Stables” cottage is commendable-- from the impeccably clean, fully equipped and comfortable lodgings, to the serene and bucolic setting amid pastoral farms away from Broadway. It serves as a perfect “hub” location from which to explore Cotswolds sights and villages by day-trips by auto, combined with hiking some of the many public footpaths. Debbie and Ross (the owners) are delightful and very accommodating hosts. • Favorite Pubs: Crown & Trumpet in Broadway, and Snowshill Arms in Snowshill. • Favorite Restaurant: The Pheasant in Toddington. • Enjoyable Afternoon Tea: Buckland Manor Gardens in Buckland. • Must-see National Trust Gardens: Buscot Park Manor and Gardens near Farington, and Hidcote Gardens near Chipping Campden. • Favorite Footpath: from Lower to Upper Slaughter, alongside the river. • Fun Daily Walk: pathway through Broadway Manor lawns and adjacent pasture into Broadway village.

Find this difficult to make a couple of observations that didn’t quite meet our expectations, however that’s what reviews are all about. We stayed for a week in Willow Cottage. I can’t praise the architecture and grounds highly enough. Beautiful and serene. In fairness there were no other guests staying during our week. The only mild criticisms are no safety grab handle on the over bath shower, and the slightly dated TV. My partner felt that the lounge furniture could do with modernisation, however it was comfortable and met our needs. The short walk to the village across the field was a delight. Please don’t take my criticisms as anything more than a 1% - 2% reduction in total perfection. Would I stay here again, - absolutely !

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your stay in Willow Cottage and for your lovely comments about the grounds that surround the cottage. Thank you for your suggestions. We will take a look at the HDTV in Willow Cottage - guests are able to stream their chosen TV programmes (Netflix, Now TV etc) and music (Spotify, Google Music etc) using the Chromecast dongle provided and the superfast fibre broadband connection which I hope you found useful during your stay. It would be great to welcome you back to stay with us again. Kind regards,

Just back from a 4 night stay in Sheldon Cottage. Was perfect. Everything we could want and more. Perfect location. Debbie and Ross always on hand if we needed anything. Stayed in Stabkes in October with Mum and that was amazing too. Definitely place to stay in Cotswolds. Looking forward to our next visit already

My daughter and I had a short stay in Rafters recently to mark the start of our challenge to walk the Cotswold Way. Debbie was so welcoming, the accommodation was perfect, in such a beautiful Cotswold village; we would love to return some day to have a more leisurely explore and wouldn't hesitate to recommend! Thank you!

I have just returned from a lovely week staying at ‘The stables’ with my partner and my 80 year old mother. The accommodation was perfect for our needs; it was all on one level with my mother having a separate bedroom and shower room at one end of the property and us having a larger ensuite bedroom at the other. There are several doors between the two ends and the property is spacious enough to provide a significant degree of privacy between the two areas. The kitchen and living room (with dining table) is in between and is fully equipped; it offered everything we required. There are also a good selection of local interest magazines, leaflets and books. The welcome breakfast hamper was lovely. It included homemade raspberry jam and fresh eggs from their own chickens (we purchased more of both of these from Debbie for us to take home). The walk to Broadway is a pleasure – just 10 minutes across a field of sheep and past the Crown and Trumpet pub into town. We enjoyed watching the two piglets and sheep that were outside our windows. Another highlight of each morning was the local hounds being walked past our gateway. Debbie and Ross welcome residents to enjoy the large manor house garden which has a pond and vegetable patch. Parking is private and secure and the adjacent road is quiet. Overall, we would highly recommend this place if you want a restful and picturesque place to explore Broadway and the surrounding area. We have stayed B and B several times in Broadway, but the freedom, amenities and value for money that Broadway Manor cottages provide means that we plan to return soon. A real find.

This was our third consecutive stay in Willow Cottage of the Broadway Manor Cottages. It is even better than before with some minor improvements to the kitchen. The location is so convenient to the whole to the Cotswolds plus every bit as comfortable as home. We will return again next year in late April to witness the birthing of the lambs and their playfulness. What a sight! You absolutely cannot go wrong in staying at this wonderful property. Book provided that gives full instructions for how everything works in the cottage plus great tips on where to go and what to see.

2nd year in a row! More than wonderful, so peaceful and bucolic yet short distances walking or driving to all of interest. Not many Americans know of this place. Want to keep as our secret so no problems with availability for booking. Here for the births of the lambs in adjoining pastures and our greeting at our front door by a beautiful rooster and his hens. Everything is modern and works inside. Only possible change would be to make kitchen chairs a little wider - more due to my girth than a real drawback. Hosts are phenomenally helpful yet never imposing. Even have welcoming fresh eggs, bread and snacks upon arrival. Hope to return year after year. Celebrating my 75th birthday here today. What a wonderful setting for it.

We look forward to welcoming you back to stay with us again this April 2018 and will ensure that we change the chairs for you in the kitchen. We have just finished redecorating and refurbishing the kitchen in Willow Cottage and have installed a new ceramic hob, electric fan oven and a new fridge and freezer (separate units). See you later this year!

We spent a week in The Rafters which is a first floor apartment next to the Manor House itself. It was clean and well appointed with everything we would need including a wonderful hamper on arrival - milk, cereal, jam, bread, orange juice - very thoughtful. It was one of the hottest weeks of the summer but the place was cool thanks to the skylights which let in the breeze. The bed was comfy and although only a small place there was plenty of room. We had free run of the beautiful grounds and there is a walk across the fields into Broadway, it only took us 5 minutes across the field and then 5 into town but my in-laws (who stayed in The Stables) took a slower pace and made it in 20 minutes. It is very quiet there but close enough to the town for shopping or a drink in the evening - take a torch if walking across the field and spare shoes if it is wet as the grass is long in places. Would definitely go again but would stay in one of the cottages as the old wood beams, although beautiful and characterful, are a hotel for spiders in September.

Thank you for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed your recent stay in Rafters and The Stables and that you all enjoyed the grounds. I hope that you will return to stay with us again in the not too distant future. Do consider one of our other cottages in the grounds (either 2 bedroom Willow Cottage or Corner Cottage or the 1 bedroom Sheldon Cottage), they do not have any old oak beams like Rafters, however, it does seem to be a particularly bad (or good!) season for spiders because of the unseasonably warm and humid September.
