Had a lovely quiet break here at the Wood Norton for a couple of nights whereas everything from the setting and warm welcome to the comfort of the accomodation the fine dining of the restaurant and the impeccable service makes this my destination of choice. This was my second stay in recent months and will certainly be visiting again soon. A special thankyou to Shabile whose pleasant and helpful nature really is the icing on the cake.

We had a night away here on their DB&B package and loved it. The building and rooms were clean and well decorated, and the staff were very friendly. However, what really blew us away was the food, which was incredible. The cote de beuf was perfectly cooked.

Lovely historic house in beautiful countryside within easy reach of the Cotswolds. We visited with friends and stayed in Queen Rooms within the house. Rooms were very spacious with huge bathrooms, spotlessly clean with luxurious Molton Brown toiletries. Beautiful wood panelling on walls and ceilings and staircases - felt like we were staying in a National Trust property! Delicious, beautifully presented food, great ambience and friendly, helpful staff contributed to a relaxing and memorable stay. Highly recommended.

Impressed by the restaurant. The chef really knows his stuff. The hotel hails from the mid 19th century and is full of lovely wood panelling...but despite the atmosphere it makes the lounge very gloomy. I had to move out at3.30 in the afternoon to read because the lighting was pathetically poor even in a window seat. Surely a couple of tasteful standard lamps would not detract too much from Victorian authenticity. If you want to read take a torch. Same applied to our bedroom. Great bathroom but you need a guide dog in the bed area itself.

Beautiful historic building in lovely surroundings offering an extremely comfortable stay. We were upgraded to a fantastic room with glorious views. Our two night stay for my 60th birthday was exactly what we needed: lovely food, great ambience and really friendly staff. A special thanks to Chloe our waitress, who went above and beyond to make my birthday supper a memorable one.

Everything about my one night stay was very good. Parking was plentiful Reception was efficient and pleasant The room was very comfortable - but without a view of any description The bed was comfortable The bathroom we clean and well equipped - but I am not a fan of showers that are directly overhead only. Breakfast was just right and well served If I am in the area again I will return, but only if assured of a room with a view.

This is a very solid 4.5 - the service and staff were personable and very helpful. The hotel is very well furnished and in a very lovely setting and grounds - we did DB&B and the food was high quality and cooked very well. The cream tea was warm scones and a nice treat for check in with free bottle of Prosecco . The down sides - it’s one to stay on site and for romantic break so don’t expect entertainment - it is what it says it is - a getaway break but we loved it. The room had Molton Brown toiletries and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you to everyone who made our anniversary special - also book direct as they give you 10% discount

We have just enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Wood Norton- food was very good although service slow especially breakfast but short staffed and very busy! Had a private meal in the boardroom and our dedicated waiter was lovely and so helpful ( sorry can’t remember name). We stayed in room 304 in the annex which was very clean and comfortable bed but a weird smell! Hotel was quirky with lovely private areas but could do with some dusting but had a fabulous time . Thank you

This is a lovely if slightly quirky hotel. ( very unusual wallpaper in the bar). Our room in the Pear Tree wing was very comfortable though this is a separate building and you need to venture outside to reach the main part of the hotel, so not perfect as it was raining steadily for one night of our visit. The gardens are lovely. The dining from a well balanced menu was excellent so top marks to the kitchen. Breakfast was also very good. Above all, the service from the ladies on duty for our stay was friendly and efficient. The only other minor problem was an inaccurate final bill, we were overcharged by £80.00 but in fairness this was corrected without any hassle. We would certainly stay here again.
