Travellers' Choice
A Gothic Victorian hotel of character which has achieved the status of Runner-up "Hotel of the Year" in Worcestershire . The hotel also hosts the popular and innovative L'amuse Bouche Restaurant, an award winning French themed restaurant set on the side of the Malvern hills. Awarded its original 2nd AA rosette for culinary excellence in 2008 it has now been awarded the title of "Winner in the Eating Out Category of Restaurants in Worcestershire for 2016, 2017 and 2019" and represented the county in the Visit England Finals. The restaurant is also Michelin recommended. The hotel is beautifully and sympathetically maintained throughout. Original features from the 1850's adorn many areas of the hotel. Family owned and run with 15 individually decorated and furnished rooms. Set in its own secluded grounds and with its award winning gardens (Overall winners of the "Heart of England in Bloom Awards 2010", hotel gardens) overlooking the Severn Valley. A short walk from the theatre and town centre. As of 2023, we are now listed as a 4 STAR HOTEL in the new AA AWARDS having just been reviewed by the AA inspector.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to this restaurant for a birthday meal had had the best time. We received a warm welcome as soon as we walking through the front door. The restaurant was also comfortably warm and very relaxing, with tasteful Easter decorations and large tables. The food was absolutely delicious, the excellent introductory tomato-seafood 'amuse bouche' through the cognac pate and I recommend the crusty, warm home-baked bread. Almost too tempting. Had a filet steak that was at once both rare and finished with an almost raost beef flavoured sear. Magical. The wine list was extensive and very affordably-priced and the St Emillion we picked lived up to expectations. The Assiette de Dessert I picked almost finished me off - 6 miniature versions of all the other dessert - rhubarb crumble was my favourite and then a final coffee rounded off a fantastic experience that we will come back for again. We recently had a two night pre Christmas break here and had a fabulous experience. The staff go above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable, always friendly and accommodating. The beds were incredibly comfortable ensuring a restful nights sleep. The highlight though was the amazing on site restaurant. The food was delicious, offering a diverse menu along with impeccable service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful and relaxing stay

Here was the challenge. Find somewhere special for a group of us who've been friends for over 50 years and were celebrating 25 years of annual get-togethers with our partners. This exceeded expectations. Ten picky people who like our food couldn't find anything to criticise over two nights' dinners in l'Amuse Bouche. Picturesque plates of perfectly cooked starters, mains and puddings including steaks, lamb, duck and fish served by friendly and efficient staff. There's a lovely lounge for pre and post-dinner drinks and breakfast was a very convivial affair back in the restaurant. The only minor quibbles - parking is a little problematic due to the topography of the site and it's difficult to get a consistent temperature in the shower. But the warmth of the owners and staff and the beautiful festive decorations all combined with the delicious food to deliver an excellent pre-Christmas break.

My wife and I have just spent three lovely nights at the Cotford Hotel. Our room was really comfortable, the bed especially so. We dined in for two of the nights and our food was excellent and we could see why the l'Amuse Bouche restaurant has won awards. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially so in the restaurant. We have already recommended the hotel to friends.

A friend who lives locally recommended the Cotford Hotel to our group for a school reunion. So, 10 of us (all now in our 60s) booked an overnight stay and dinner in L'Amuse Bouche restaurant. The service and assistance we received from initial booking right through to check out was excellent. Rooms are comfy and beautifully appointed, as are the Piano Lounge and Bar, and of course the restaurant itself. Our dinner was fabulous: real fine dining which looked and tasted fantastic.

We stayed for one night at the Cotford hotel whilst meeting up with family who live locally. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. Our room "Chapter 1" was cosy and quiet with a high vaulted ceiling and a comfortable King bed. The room and bathroom were clean and the towels were big and fluffy. Unfortunately the electric shower was rather weak but it didn't spoil our one night stay as . We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but the full English breakfast, cooked to order, was tasty and we enjoyed the table service, rather than a buffet so often found in bigger or chain hotels. We would happily stay again when we visit our family next time.

We have lived in Malvern for 45 years and although we have often heard good reviews of the Cotford, I have to admit that I had never stepped foot inside until yesterday. We were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary and wanted to treat the family to lunch. From the minute we entered the building until we left 3 hours later we were treated to an experience of the top quality. We were welcomed warmly and the whole afternoon just got better and better. The waitresses were all friendly and chatty, but never intrusive. The food itself was delicious and we all agreed it couldn't be faulted. We will certainly book again for the next family celebration

My go to hotel when I need accommodation for visiting family. A real gem with comfort and great service. And cheaper than so called budget hotels in the area. Just a great place with a warm welcome and well appointed rooms. Not too mention Malverns best food too.
