Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This pub has gone from good to shockingly bad over the last few years. We visit as a group of hungry cyclists for the location and normally quick service and decent food. Our last few visits have been disappointing, our last visit a number of out party did not receive their food. Today was a disaster. Firstly, a number of items were out of stock. After 40 minutes, 4 of us gave up waiting and requested a refund. Those who did receive their food found it was cold and poorly prepared. 2 families with young children who waited over an hour for their breakfasts returned them as they were cold and inedible. All businesses have bad days, but this has become a trend at the Foley. It needs urgent intervention by senior management. The Wetherspoons at Tewkesbury is excellent, always meeting expectations, which shows it can be done.

Big room, huge comfortable bed, snuggly duvet. Clean, plenty of hot water. Tea/coffee/water replenished daily. Great view, great location. Helpful, friendly staff. Had breakfast for less than £17 for the two of us. Another great value Wetherspoon Hotel

What a terribly run hotel/pub we came here for 3 nights with friends really looking forward to our stay in a Wetherspoons, what a total disappointment! The place clearly doesn’t have enough staff, glasses and plates everywhere on all tables had to keep moving them to be able to sit. The rooms were meant to be cleaned each day sadly we had to chase staff to come and do it it had just been left, mugs are meant to be replaced each day so you can help yourself to free tea/coffee again they wasn’t so had to chase each day! For some reason eggs were off the menu so most of the breakfast you couldn’t have, also half the evening menu wasn’t on either so i do not recommend and won’t be returning !!

We visited the foley arms wetherspoons in Malvern this morning as we do a wetherspoons every sunday morning. wanting two breakfasts one veggie one traditional we always swop our fried eggs for poached eggs not a problem normally....but in Malvern it is...as poached eggs are more expensive than fried eggs.........poached eggs are brought in apparently ready made...so the chef can not make a poached egg...employ a chef that can make one not a microwave....

Visited Great Malvern as we are spending a few days in the area. Car park is a fair way away from the main drag- bit of a hike. Foley Arms was light and airy and we managed to get a table with a great panorama. Used the app to order food and drink and the service was very good. Both had wraps with chips and good value. Tables were cleaned- one of my bugbears- and it was warm. Overall, a good visit.

I went to the pub and on entering I was approached by a very rude lady asking everyone for our IDs. I understand this may be protocol however the way she spoke to us was very disappointing. I also found that once we had got to the bar and were ordering we were shouted at to move and the staff were just not very friendly at all. I think although it's a great social place the staff couldn't be any worse

All staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. There were seven of us staying here for the evening all our rooms were large and comfortable. Showers were great. Bed very comfortable. Food was OK Weatherspoons food. Close to many other restaurants and cafes. Nearby long stay car park is about 10 minute walk very steep hills.

Overpriced by £30 or more per day. Don't go there. The per day rate was at least that less than when I booked some time ago. No refund was offered. Poor showing. Not happy. To make up 200 characters add x xxxxxxxxxxxx

Recommended by friends, for the view. Walk through the main bar on ground floor to the rear. Large terrace with ample seating and stunning views across the valley. A great spot to sit, enjoy a pint and relax. Really good value drinks There is also another terrace on the lower floor.

I had to park 15 minutes walk away and pay £3 as there is no car parking at the hotel or close by. After my 15 minute walk (uphill) I then went to reception and rang the bell about 8 times and waited 10 minutes but nobody came. I went downstairs and asked a member of staff if I could book in. He said he would send someone so I waited another 10 minutes but nobody came so I went to the bar and finally found somebody to book us in. The next morning there were many tables stacked up with used plates and customers had to clear away used cutlery and plates themselves. When we arrived back at the room in the afternoon we couldn't get into our room as they only load a day pass onto the room cards even though we were stupid enough to have booked two nights. All cases have to be carried to the rooms as there is no lift and nobody to assist you. There is no wheelchair access to any of the bedrooms. We ordered breakfast for two and were given one napkin so we had to go back to the bar to ask for more as the napkins are kept in the kitchen. Also be aware this is a totally cashless pub and food has to be ordered off an app on your phone. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms so in warm weather it is unbearable. There is an open air terrace by the bar which is no smoking and also no vaping area but there are no signs about this no vaping policy so you get told off if you vape outside! Couldn't use the hand-wash in the sink as the top was missing (see picture).
