Good price and warm friendly staff. Room was adequate, with bath in the bathroom. However, black mould was underneath the faucet. Also even with the second window, the noise from the outside was still very loud. Food from the restaurant was good value for money and the breakfast was good. However when ordering the breakfast, it would have been nice...

We met up with friends for dinner and found an excellent menu at very economical prices. The cod, chips & peas on the small menu was cheaper than buying same from the local chippy where we live which was unbelievable and also very very enjoyable.

Flying visit looking for somewhere central to stop over whilst travelling back north. Very pleasant receptionist, hotel looked well but my single room was dated and small. Downstairs bar was decent size and busy for midweek, great location for high street shopping. Good breakfast although I felt some of the morning staff lacked basic customer service skills preferring.

Great hotel but poor customer service on booking out. All members in the three rooms that was booked was very disappointed in no televisions working in the room. The single room had to have a cold shower, after 10 mins of water running, only then warmed up. Stench of drains in the stairwell from the restaurant to the rooms and...

Arrived for the Christmas market and greeteded by miserable elves, who decided to talk loudly about us behind a column. Cups of tea served in small illy coffee cups and warm. When we asked for the coffee to be warmer one of the staff said she couldn't make it any warmer, another waitress just advised to put hot water in...

Despite the wonderful central location and very pleasant staff this has to be the worst place I have stayed in for Avery long time. A dreadful dingy single room, totally freezing. Radiator didn't work and no radiator in bathroom which had a window which didn't quite close . The manager assured the radiator was repaired when I was out to...

So no issues for me with staffing. The breakfast I had was really good, I had the English breakfast which was hot and well cooked. The room was old very dark, badly...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Ye Olde Talbot, I am sorry to hear about the issues you had with your stay, I have taken note of your comments in regards to our rooms, due to the age of the building it can often look dark in our rooms with crooked walls and creaky floorboards...

The service on arrival was pleasant. The room was a little dated but very warm and cosy. Our room on arrival was very warm but easily rectified by turning the radiators down. Plenty of storage space. Very comfortable bed and fair sized bathroom. The Inn was very clean. Although there is no parking on site there is a NCP car...

Welcoming check in on arrival. Comfortable ground room with small en suite bathroom. Atmospheric bar area. Nice to see kippers on the breakfast menu, however I went for the full English breakfast, which was very good. Friendly staff. NCP car park 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
