We stayed here as a hen party, the staff were helpful, attentive, professional and kind. The rooms were clean with tasteful decor, the staircase opposite the entrance is grand. We had easy access to the racecourse and local pubs, as well as a variety of food places, the luxury foyer hosts a great meeting place to relax with friends. The beds are comfortable, iron, kettle and fridge are included to use during your stay. The swimming bath, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room enhanced our enjoyment. The building is a beguiling place to be. I felt well looked after and this would be my priority place to stay if I was to visit Worcestershire again. Many thanks.

Stayed here recently just for one night to break up a long journey. Very Covid aware place - one way system, staff wearing masks, breakfast arranged so socially distanced at tables etc so no worries with this

We had the breakfast - we've had better and worse but a decent selection available.

Good location right in the centre of the City so everything walkable from there with a small car park attached which was handy.

Opposite a Sainsbury Local and Tesco Express if you forget anything. Gym and Swimming pool available but we didnt use them

Really friendly staff who all spoke to us and made a bit of effort - makes a change from a large proportion of places

We have stayed many times in the past , but this was our first hotel break in 2 years since pre-covid days.
Booked directly with the hotel , and paid for reserved parking space.
Nice friendly welcome on arrival by Natalie and another 2 female receptionists (sorry didn't get names ).
Room at rear of hotel over looking the carpark was spotless and comfortable. Big fixed shower over bath . Safe and iron/ironing board in room.
Agata who came to clean our room on our 2nd day was very friendly and efficient. Went out of her way to please us with a smile.

Breakfast was a really nice experience to start the day.Plenty available . Hot buffet food was exceptionally well cooked, as well as a variety of cold fruits, yoghurt, cereal , pastries and toast. Table to help yourself to tea / coffee and a juice machine. We had a bowl of porridge each morning as well , cooked to order . Just ask the serving staff. I did compliment the chef at the time ( Paul?) as the hot food was really well cooked and presented and kept freshly restocked . Tables kept cleaned and cleared and all food areas kept stocked well by efficient staff Naomi receptionist was very welcoming at breakfast , doing a good job of training new waitress Tatiana who had started that morning. We found the breakfast experience this time so relaxing and enjoyable.

Leisure centre staff friendly , explaining procedures. Now need a £1 coin (returnable) to operate lockers in the changing rooms. The ladies changing room was much cleaner this time. Complimentary pool towels to use for hotel guests and showel gel dispensers in shower cubicles. Pool and pool area clean at the time.

Overall a nice few days break and looking forwards to our next visit.

Thanks to all the staff for being so welcoming :)

We enjoyed a good value, high quality lunch for a group of about 50 people. The fixed price 3 course menu was good value and the service excellent. Alcoholic drinks could be ordered from the table and paid separately which avoided queuing at the bar. Lovely light airy room. Would recommend

From the time we booked the tea until we had finished, it was amazing service ! The man taking the deposit was very pleasant and helpful , remarking on my mum's grand age in a very personal way, Events team were very professional in dealing with numbers and various dietary requirements ,
The room we were given was lovely , pictures of the cathedral and pottery gave an added bonus and we were able to decorate . My mum was very pleased to see a linen tablecloth and napkins !
The tea itself was delicious , lovely scones and cakes and the service was superb , very attentive but not pushy ! We were even given foil to wrap pieces of birthday cake.
The whole experience was wonderful. My mum thoroughly enjoyed her day and all of us would like to thank all staff for making her day so special !

Before you review any hotel in 2022 one has to remember the punishing hotels took during recent Covid pandemic with mass exoduses of staff and break downs in supply chains. So bearing that in mind here’s my review. The hotel is in the town centre and is superbly located, wanting to make sure I could park my car I called ahead to book a parking space and when we arrived surely enough space was reserved in my name. Check in was simple and easy, we appear to have been allocated a room in the newer part of the hotel it connects with the main building by a very short enclosed bridge. The room was of a good size with comfortable beds. The shower was a bit hit and miss, something that happens a lot with older buildings. Breakfast was decent but sometimes the cooked part of it appeared to have stayed under a hot lamp for some time and as a result some of it was rock hard! The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. The hotel has a swimming pool and gym, I used the gym, it has a large range of modern equipment and a trainer at hand is required. If you want and/or need to be close to the town centre then this is a good choice. I suspect that soon the hotel will be in need of some refurbishment but still remains a comfortable hotel.

well situated. Our room was very clean but tired. Th bathroom needs a lot of work, flush on toilet didn't work properly, no extractor fan in bathroom, and decor generally needs a refresh. Our room was an 'inside' room with no natural light. I hate not having windows open but the air con was effective so it wasn't too bad. Paid for reserved parking which I was pleased I had done as when we arrived at 3.00pm the rest of the car park was already full. I dom think staff should have informed me when booking that the room would not face out of the building, nor did they tell me about the reserved parking even though I specifically asked about parking. I had to ring back to sort this out. I also had to chase them for a confirmation e mail

A fairly large hotel very close to Worcester station. Despite many signs of slightly tired or aging decor this is a decent value hotel, and we generally enjoyed our stay. There is something of an air of a much better past about the place but it has much to recommend it. It has its own car park (entered from the main road on which the hotel is located). Rooms on this front side can be noisy and it might be wise to ask for a room elsewhere, especially as the lack of a.c. means windows are left slightly open. At present rooms are not serviced, which seemed curious as breakfast is neither timed nor table served. The breakfast buffet is fine, well cooked and presented, though hardly lavish. Our room was a good size with ample storage. The hotel is unusual in having both a gym and a pool (not large, about 10m x 5m) but long enough for a bit of a swim) for guests, open until late evening. Our room safe was broken but fixed the morning after we reported it.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit; I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. As you say, the hotel has an indoor pool in addition to a sauna, steam room, whirlpool and fully equipped gym all of which are available on a complimentary basis to our residents - the only hotel in the city centre of offer such facilities. I will certainly pass on your comments regarding the fabric of the building and appreciate your feedback.

Nice hotel in a good location within easy walking distance of the station and the sights/shops. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was fine and facilities as expected, the only problem we had was with a flickering light in the bathroom and a bulb gone in the entrance to the room which was fixed once we mentioned it to reception. Pool and sauna facilities were nice and clean, although the changing rooms were quiet wet and messy on occasions. Breakfast was variable depending on what time you arrived, most days it was hot and tasty but on a couple of days the food had been sitting there a while and was a bit lukewarm. Overall a good base for visiting Worcester.

With work i stop at many hotels in the UK & Ireland, so I have a lot of experience of what is good or bad.

My wife and i were attending our works Christmas party at a local restaurant so needed somewhere local to stop, have to say for a city the size of Worcester there is not much to choose from, so we chose the Whitehouse.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who was like a bull dog chewing a wasp, it was if they did not want to be there, please remember First Impressions Really Do Count.

We were given directions to our room which was on the 1st floor at the front of the building, First impression of the room was that it was very dated and really needed some investment to update it especially a better heater as it took an age for the room to warm up, also i would recommend double glazing for heat loss and noise especially with the room being on a main road at the front of the building.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The bathroom was also clean apart from some toothpaste from a previous guest on the tap.

For the cost, I was expecting a little bit more of a modern room.

Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food and the waitress was excellent.

My biggest complaint would be the car parking, yes I understand that car parking is limited and charging £5.00 per night is very good value but to then charge an extra £10.00 to guarantee a space is criminal, but why not charge £10.00 per night which you must book when you book your room(s) to guarantee a space.

Checking out was fast and efficient by a receptionist that was totally the opposite to the one when checking-in, a smile with a very warm greeting and asking if we had enjoyed the stay.

I am not one of these keyboard warriors so everything in this review is what I said to her as I believe businesses should listen to their customers.

Would I stop again ? Possibly but only for 1 night

My apologies that your welcome upon arrival was not as warm as you had expected although I am delighted that you found the team member on duty for breakfast worthy of a mention as indeed was the receptionist upon your departure. Your comments will be shared with the team for discussion and passed on for review with regards to the décor. I am pleased that this experience will not deter you from returning and that we may have teh pleasure of your company should you return to Worcester in the future.

Not sure, probably not. (I hope not as apart from authentic Guide Dogs, pet dogs have no place in an Hotel - in my humble opinion). As other posters have said contact the Hotel, they are indeed better than average at responding to Clients' concerns.
