little gem of a place to stay, right on the promenade, with a sea view from my single room, room was lovely, nicely presented with a comfortable bed and nice clean toilet, staff on desk at check in very friendly , took me up to room and carried my bag for me, for a couple of nights stay it was perfect, there was no noise from other guests, or from the road outside, where there was free parking, i had no trouble finding a space to park, for a seaside town in the middle of summer the location was brilliant, i will certainly use this guest house again as a midway point to visiting friends further down the coast.

Great budget option - room small but had everything I needed and was immaculate. Didn't mind not having enquire bath or shower at this price, and my room had a gorgeous sea view. Handy free on-street parking overnight was a bonus. Really nice helpful staff and very friendly welcome, personally escorted time room. Excellent value, highly recommended.

Great value guest house, friendly check in, useful fact sheet of suggested places to eat and get breakfast. Right on the front with parking immediately opposite. Comfortable room good amenities and excellent shower. Loved being able to sit in the bay window at a table with my partner watching the sea in the evening, all the better for proper wine glasses provided by the guest house. Highly recommend and look forward to staying there again.

The good … friendly staff, clean, excellent location, great view from window. The bad … quite shabby, beds were quite uncomfortable especially if you have a back issue, not all rooms have en suite, quite often no one was there at the desk, we weren’t given a code for Wi-Fi. The ugly… lots of confusion over room bookings, at one point one of us went back to their room to find all their belongings gone and that someone else had moved in. It turns out that they had been moved to another room but that is actually illegal and no one had told us what they were doing.

Personally, friendly staff, a clean environment and an amazing view are much more important than the odd frayed carpet. Our stay was extremely pleasant, the location was brilliant and the welcome of the staff was amazing as was their attentiveness.

A comfy room, well appointed with hot shower at a reasonable price. The building is not new but everything was clean. A lovely bay window with a table to sit at complimented the room and it was relaxing sitting there with a hot chocolate watching the waves of the Irish Sea roll in. There was a well equipped communal kitchen with a lot of fridge space and also a homely communal lounge room. The staff were very friendly. We highly recommend.

Room Tip: There’s a car park just around the corner from the guesthouse and it was only £4.80 for 24 hours.

Stayed here end of August, wished we hadn't bothered, we had a fabulous sea view, but that's where it all ended, toilet was on a pedestal, much to high! And shabby overpriced tiny room, neon light shone in all night keeping us awake, curtain wouldn't close etc! Not a single thing was inviting, from a peeling front door, to very shabby room , there's plenty of decent hotels along the promenade, sadly celtic bay isn't one of them, Don't waste your hard earned money!

I stayed in this hotel for one night, it is overpriced and rather run down. It should be advertised as a hostel as that’s what it is. Good points (if you think of it as a hostel) has a Communal kitchen Shared bathroom and showers. Some rooms have private bathrooms Clean & comfortable beds. Easy access Kettle, tea & coffee provided and wine glasses in the room. Has a small tv Friendly staff The not so good: Definitely not a hotel Not a 3 star Thankfully our room was en-suite but had the feel of a hostel/ public toilet. Doesn’t have the professional finish that you’d expect from a hotel. The carpets throughout were worn and faded Dated & worn furniture No lifts/ escalator

Dear Mrs Roberts, Greetings! Thank you for providing us with your valuable feedback. We are disappointed to hear that our physical space wasn’t exactly to your liking. It is worthy to note that we never promoted or advertised ourselves as a hotel rather, as a guest house and a self-catering accommodation in which our esteemed guests are more than welcome to share communal facilities such as our well-equipped communal kitchen. Nevertheless, we absolutely appreciate you for taking the time to write us a review and we hope to host you again in the near future. Best, Cardigan and Celtic Bay Self-Catering Accommodation/Guest House.

We stayed midweek in May in a sea-view room for a 'mini break'. The room and kitchen facilities were spotlessly clean & bright and comfortable. The hotel is ideally situated on the sea front with great views, and Julian and his staff were friendly, kind and helpful. Special thanks to Abdul, who went out of his way to help generally & with storage of my bike. I liked being able to prepare a simple meal in the shared kitchen, which avoids a lot of covid/dietary issues. The little cafe on the ground floor had some nice looking cakes and some seating on the promenade just opposite. Comfy bed and sea air. Slept like babies. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay and even extended by a day. We'll be back!

I recently spent the night here on an impromptu visit for the bank holiday. The room was fantastic value for money with lots of little touches including filter coffee, tea making facilities, access to a clean and spacious kitchen and toiletries. The room was basic but I expected this for the price and I still had a great sleep. The location was fantastic right on the beach with spectacular views. Whilst there was no parking, a public car park behind was reasonable at less than 5 pounds for 24 hours. I would recommend this b and b especially to those on a budget. The cleanliness was really really good.
