Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in a private static caravan on end of May bank holiday weekend. The site was very clean quiet considering how busy it was. Lots of tourers around also which I believe is sited only. We had our dog with us so couldn't really use swimming pool etc but looked nice from outside

I have had a static caravan at Aberystwyth holiday village now for four years it is a good all round value for money park with everything a family could need. In all the time ive been on site the staff have been helpful very efficient. I have always found the site clean tidy and the shower blocks always seem to have cleaners around them. The site has a good club with swimming pool and also a site shop. I have noticed some very poor reviews on trip adviser and quite honestly wonder how some folks can be so negative. Credit where credit is due they work hard on site to give folks a good holiday. Don't knock it support it Aberystwyth is a lovely town and a short drive into the centre and for those who like walking a few minutes walk and you are into the town centre. Overall im happy with the site why not give it a try and take no notice of one or two of the stupid negative remarks made about the park. A great place for a long or short stay. Me im just a happy camper.

We went here in June 2016 for a week with our camper.
The Grass was very long when we arrived and when they did mow it they didn't pick up the loose grass so there was a lot of hay left lying around.
There was only one fresh water tap for the whole site and not that many toilets either.
Anyone with walking difficulties would struggle up the steep hill out of the camp on the walk into the town of Aberystwyth.

This campsite should be investigated by Trading standards as it fails to deliver on every account. The place is falling apart with dog's mess everywhere, rubbish blowing about from the over filled bins. Wastewater points right next to the clean water points, showers and toilet blocks smelling on urine.

The staff in the shop seemed very uninterested and there was very little stock and the stock that was there was overpriced. For some reason there was a big guy riding about very fast on a quad bike he did not seem to be bothered that there was a lot of children playing on the roads. Whenever you made a complaint or questioned something the attitude of the owner was " Take it or leave it". As when I asked to see the security gaurds SIA licences I was told to mind my own bussiness. On the plus side the camp is quite near to Aberystwyth, but please keep in mind that Aberystwyth is a university town and during term time a Thursday,Friday and Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon it is like a Klondike Minning Town with large gangs of drunken students putting their student grant to good use, so much on the day I took my van to the site I was running late and had to drive through town on a Friday evening about 20.00 and I had a beer bottle thrown at the van. My advice is give the Aberystwyth Holiday village a miss there are a lot of reason why the camp site fees are so cheap.

Prior to coming we were told there'd be wifi, and were even given a wifi code. The code connected to their network just fine, but their network is not connected to the internet.

Asked staff a couple times when the issue would be resolved. But reception staff seemed unhelpful, disinterested, and used to this question. We got a couple different answers ranging from "it doesn't" to "it comes off and on" so I can only assume the use of wifi as an advertisement is just a straight up lie.

The caravan itself was of varying quality, scratches dents and scrapes but nothing too pressing. Very spacious and enjoyable. A gardener filled our tank up when the hot water stopped.

The location is the best thing about the place as its a short walk from anything else, but I was left very unimpressed with the rest of the services.

Untidy, litter strewn site. Staff at site office were uninterested and didn’t seem to know the area at all. Certainly wouldn’t recommend this site as it is nothing compared to Clarach Bay holiday park.

Where to start! One word encompasses the whole site, including the people who run it 'disgusting'. Families pay £1k to site a tourer for the year, even though this is competitively priced, the owners should in fact, pay the caravan owners to stay. Electricity goes off (or is switched off) at 9pm, families trying to put children to bed in the dark with no lighting. Raw sewage spilling out of drains, problem resolved by the site, but no chemical clean up where spillage happens. Do you really want your children playing here? Showers run out of hot water, the helpful comment from the site owner is 'get up earlier'. Awnings being tampered with, don't forget to padlock them as due to the site being in darkness, who knows who is prowling around your property. The list goes on. Please don't line the pockets of these people, this is not a holiday village it is a flea pit.

Absolutely appalling that the new owners have stopped nightly camping for tents/tourers. Now have to buy a 12 month seasonal pass which is a rip off and takes the shine off the idea of camping. If wanted a holiday home, I'd buy a static but the whole concept of camping/tourers is to have freedom to visit different places. Website is awful...trying to speak to human on the phone is even worse. Shop ok for camping accessories but trying to get a loaf of bread or newspaper??? Don't bother because you won't. Such a shame because have visited every year near enough since I was child but seems the owners have got cheeky and just want a big cheque to cover them for 12 months.

Went here for a week in august with my husband and two children and it's one of the worst sites I have ever been on!
Shower and toilets are disgusting! The male cleaner was always friendly but the women cleaner looked like she needed to have a good wash!
The play area is awful, water in the sand pit most of the time and local cats use it as a toilet.
As for the cafe the chips taste like cardboard and the tables were disgusting!
The staff are not helpful and the lad who showed us to the pitch was arrogant and rude!
The office staff were also rude and the site was cheap and nasty. Nothing like the pictures online!!!
I will not be returning to this place.
An overall disgusting experience here!
