Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked this hotel at short notice and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a lovely hotel situated right on the seafront. The room was exceptionally clean. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Had a lovely three day, two night stay with my family at The Glengower just before Christmas. The staff are some of the nicest people. Our room was quiet and comfortable with the most spectacular view of the prom and the soothing sounds of the ocean. The pub is a local favorite, and is warm and lively at night. The food and service for both breakfast and dinner were excellent in both quality and variety. A visit to The Glengower is a must do for any visit to the beautiful coast of mid-Wales.

Great place to stay and unwind. Nice welcome and helpful staff. Sea view room was lovely, nice to sit and listen to the waves. Room was fine, comfortable and warm. The bathroom needs some attention and updating, a bit bare, but it was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was perfect and lots of options. Lovely fresh coffee and nice fresh fruit selection. Great stay.

Very nice hotel in a quieter end of the ocean front terrace. The downstairs pub is lively and friendly and our room was very clean and had recently been updated. Comfortable bed and two chairs by the window. Generous tea & coffee making supplies plus bottled water. We had a great view out to sea, but unfortunately when we were there it rained the whole time, otherwise a lovely promenade for walks etc. The breakfast had a large menu of cooked items to choose from as well as cereals, fruit and yoghurts. Just a note that there is no lift and all rooms upstairs. There is no parking at the hotel but four hours free parking directly out the front, so if you arrive after 6pm you have in effect till midday the following day. There is also a council carpark around the corner.

This hotel blew my mind. My gigantic room had a bay window that overlooked the sea. Downstairs, the staff was friendly and engaging. The meal at the restaurant was delicious. The whole vibe of the hotel is cozy and comfortable and I loved it. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Visit Aberystwith and make sure you stay at this hotel.

Another fabulous stay at this boutique hotel. The room was spacious and clean with stunning views. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful Food is yummy, and a good choice of decent wines. Only criticism would be the lack of private parking.
