The Woodlands Caravan Park is a family run site with a friendly atmosphere. The site is situated 300 yards from the spectacular Devils Bridge Waterfalls and has beautiful views of the Welsh mountains and valleys. The site adjoins the family run farm and guests are welcome to walk on the farm lane to enjoy the fresh air and scenic views. There is a camp shop and tea room on site. This is an ideal base for birdwatching, walking, mountain biking and fishing. Sorry no pets allowed in the self catering bungalow but dogs are allowed on the camping and caravan park.

We’ve been touring around wales in our van. Booked this site last minute over the phone. When I rang the lady who answered couldn’t have been more helpful, she was so friendly and welcoming upon arrival also. This site is the most reasonably priced site we’ve stayed in around wales and has all the facilities. The pitches are spacious and well kept. The shower blocks, toilets, laundrette and washing up stations are spotless and cleaned a few times a day. The campsites in a beautiful spot and a stones throw away from
The popular devils bridge tourist attraction. Would highly recommend!!

What a fabulous campsite ! Wonderful location and best toilet blocks I have ever seen !

This site is ran just how sites should be ran and especially in the current climate . There was contactless check in and the toilet facilities were immaculate and cleaned 3 times a day . Other campsites need to take heed of how this site is ran and the on site facilities are kept .

Will we be returning - yes !!

Highly recommend and you must do the devils bridge walk and have a meal at the Hafod pub - the Sunday lunch was superb !

Our first trip here as a tourer (camping) and what a find! As well as being a spotlessly clean site, with friendly staff - they have very thoughtfully accomodated Covid requirements and precautions but in a calm and unobtrusive way. For exampke, simple pebbles allow numbers to be controlled in shared facilities which are regularly cleaned. We've enjoyed trips to Devils Bridge falls and the Hafod estate from this great base, and have escaped the crowds on the coast. We'll be visiting again from our home in Pembrokeshire.

Set in beautiful grounds with plenty of walks either on site or nearby. Lots of wildlife to see in the area.
Unfortunately the bungalow is much need of updating throughout. Also upon arriving we found utensils that had been put away dirty and cobwebs and dead insects in the living room. There was also food down the side of the cooker and mould in the bathroom.
The beds were really comfortable and the linen had obviously been recently washed and dried. We liked the little signs dotted around the bungalow giving the Welsh name for things (i.e bathroom / door).
The washing machine did not work when we tried to use it but we were told we could use the laundrette on site free of charge and I believe a new machine was fitted on the day of our departure.
The camp site itself was well looked after and the shower block very impressive.

Thank you for reviewing our self-catering bungalow. Since you stayed we have re-tiled the bathroom giving it a more modern feel. The beds are all new and it's nice to hear that they were comfortable. I'm sorry it was in need of a better clean; we now spend longer making sure we don't miss anything. There is a new washing machine which was delivered soon after you left and I'm sorry that you were inconvenienced. Thank you for staying with us

The touring caravan area is well spaced and the hardstanding is level and well maintained. There are nice views of the surrounding hills from the pitches and it's a good location for walking, either straight from the site or a short drive away. The wash block is excellent, seemed to be cleaned regularly and the site staff at the time our stay were friendly and helpful, responding quickly and intelligently when needed.

On the down side, the dishwashing room had no doors, so was quite cold and for me at 5'10" the sinks seemed very low. The other issue was the lack of wi-fi on the camping field - with it only being available within a small radius of the distant reception. Getting info on places to visit and weather updates was a pain when they could probably fit a signal repeater in the wash block. On the whole though, a nice site which we would be happy to use again.

Thank you for your review. We now have a wifi hot spot by the wash block but are looking into ways of extending this to reach all of the pitches. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay.

On arriving we were welcomed with a list of rules and what not to do. The touring site was great and well organised, there was plenty of room between the pitches, although the tents looked like they were jammed in. They put them every where and anywhere (thats how it looked)
The facilities were spotless, the toilets and washing areas were perfect. I didnt feel like there was a personal touch at this site, I missed that.
There is not much to do in the area of Devils Bridge, once you have done the Waterfall Walk and Train - thats about it. You need a car to get into Aberystwyth, a Taxi cost us £24.00 one way

Stayed here recently with my four teenagers, we had a great time. Welcomed by a lovely host, nice sized plot to set up. Electric hook up. Toilet/shower facilities were spotless, and loved the pebble counters, ideal to see at a glance if it's busy or not. Modern, spacious, and always clean. The most important part of a campsite for me!
The children's play areas were well kept and even entertained my older kids.
Only thing I'd say, is be quick in booking a WiFi box! They only have a few available for the whole site and it meant we didn't have any WiFi for the first night but luckily bagged it for the remainder of our stay, anyone with teenagers will know how important this is!
Loved the fact check out was 2pm, no rushing around on the last day.
All in all, a fantastic stay and we'll definitely be back.

Booked for a 5 night stay, and was kept informed by email with all necessary information, including a ‘welcome’ email a couple of days before arrival.

The site was excellent. Decent size plots, and the toilets and showers were spotless.

They have washing up facilities, washing machine and even a fridge/freezer you can use.

At our plot, we had no mobile coverage whatsoever. Not the end of the world, but might be important to some.
They hire out Mi-Fi dongles, but unfortunately they had none available for our stay.

The on-site cafe is currently closed due to Welsh COVID regulations. However, they do have a burger van. It’s ok, but pretty greasy and quite expensive for what you are getting.

There is a petrol station 3 miles away, which pretty much sells everything (including booze).
Aberystwyth is approx 13 miles away from the site.

I would recommend this site, and will return.

Pretty decent size plots, family friendly and

Really lovely campsite, amazingly clean facilities. We have never seen such clean toilets and shower blocks before! The campsite is set in a really lovely location, surrounded by trees, mountains and waterfalls. It was a shame we had only booked to stay one night before our next campsite in Snowdonia. The only criticism we could give is there wasn’t enough washer/dryer facilities. One washing machine and one dryer was certainly not enough for all the people wanting to use it. We had a lot of laundry as we are on a 5 week tour but lots of other people needed to use it too, so it would have been more efficient and easier to supply more than just one of each.

What a great site. The facilities looked new and were very Clean. Social distancing in the shower/toilet block was dealt with simply but effectively. A great location with a good restaurant within a 5 min walk as well as quite a few tourists spots within a 10 minute drive and not too much of a drive from the beach. We've always stayed nearer the coast but found a little gem in Devil's Bridge and Would definitely stay again.
