I cannot rate this hotel enough, Excellent, clean & welcoming. As a lone traveller, for the first time ever, staff were lovely. Booked for 3 nights and ended up staying another night. Food deserves a mitchellin.
We wanted a comfortable room for a couple of nights whilst we visited old friends in Aber'. The Richmond proved ideal. A fully-equipped room (with glorious sea view), friendly staff and good food made our stay very enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. Having lived in Aber' for a very long time we had a better than average understanding of the hotel's location, facilities and reputation and we were not disappointed. Doubtless we'll be back.
Spent 4 nights bed and breakfast here and had Sunday dinner. Room was great with views of the sea and prom, breakfasts were excellent, as was the dinner we had. Car parking was fine. Service was always first rate and friendly and staff helped with advice on activities. There are a couple of small things that the hotel could do to move up to the next level but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we were planning our next visit before we left.
Stayed here for 4 nights over Easter weekend, and was very pleansantly surprised. Seafront rooms have great views, and the first room we were given was on the ground floor. Nice huge room, but we felt a bit sitting in the bay window made us feel a bit lacking privacy with people walking by being able to see right into the room - not quite so good for early morning coffee in dresing gown! We were moved to a smaller but adequate room on second floor by the very helpful receptionist, and this was great. Room was well stocked with tea/coffee, everwhere was spotlessly clean and the evening meal we had on the first night was high quality at reasonable price. All the staff are a credit to the hotel. Would stay here again for sure.
Excellent service Excellent staff Excellent food Excellent bedroom free parking nothing is a problem for all your needs we stayed from the 13th to 15th of April last minute booking this was our first stay at the hotel but it will definitely not be our last many thanks Dave and Pat Burrows
The Richmond Hotel is in a great location on the seafront The initial welcome was great from Jane, she explained everything we needed to know with a large dollop of enthusiasm The hotel has it's own private parking which was a bonus The staff were very pleasant courteous cheerful and always eager to ensure we had all we required The restaurant was really well equipped with everything you would expect from a well run establishment The breakfast and evening meals where to die for plenty on the plate and really tasty with a broad choice from the menus The chef Richard who runs the hotel with his wife Jane does a great job in the kitchen Our room on the second floor was superb with a fantastic view overlooking the bay Spotlessly clean and the girls who cleaned it always done a good job Overall a wonderful experience and to top it off as it was our Ruby Wedding Anniversary they provided us with a nice congratulations card on our dinning table on the big day so a lovely and appreciated gesture Would defiantly recommend this hotel and would book again…
Great location, good parking, fantastic breakfast, but most of all extremely pleasant and friendly staff. We had a small party stay two nights. All of us agreed that it was ideal and that the staff were great. Definitely use it again.
We received a warm welcome from the staff and stayed in a third floor room with an amazing panoramic view of the sea from the bay window. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. We had dinner; a traditional Welsh dish Cawl which is a lamb stew served with bread and cheese which was delicious and home made. The breakfast was high quality and freshly cooked and you can choose from a huge list of hot items, there was a good selection of other breakfast foods including cereal, fruit, yoghurt, nut mixes and pastries. The waiter was really efficient and friendly - all in all the staff were great and made our stay memorable.
Superb hotel, great Wi-Fi , lovely staff nothing too much trouble, highly recommended. We had a ground floor room due to recent knee replacement surgery, lovely sea view, nicely furnished to a high standard, comfy bed and a 40 inch television, shower a little slippery but they supplied a shower mat immediately, breakfasts were cracking, really set you up for the day. You really will enjoy this hotel and it’s staff .
I booked a room to stay for one night. As I walked in the room I saw the view from the window. It was the sun setting over the Bay. The room was clean and smelt new. I’d been greeted by a lovely woman who was really helpful. Not pushy in anyway. I decided to have food after seeing the menu. The food was excellent. I don’t know if they have some sort of ex Masterchef winner, but wow. Really good! I’d highly recommended eating at the hotel. I’m really impressed by the hotel and staff. I will definitely be coming back. James Leeds
