Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hi otel is run by a CORRUPT individual called Stephen, he allows his bar staff to take money from your change without your permission to buy themselves drinks, without permission, calling it a "service charge". There's a noise issue coming from the bar and the road outside. The food is bland and below average. There's an overwhelming drug culture in the bar & restaurant with trading, consumption and use taking place. NOT GOOD, avoid particularly if you have children. The Police & Trading Standards are investigating.

We were staying a couple of nights in Aberystwyth and looking for somewhere nice to eat look no further than Harry's Bistro OMG what a little gem of a place, got a table no problem not a big menu but went for the lamb shank wife had lasagne, had chips with mine. When it arrived looked great and a gorgeous sauce with it which I nearly drunk at the end nice couple of pints of Aspel cider too, highly recommended.

3 of us shared the family room at Harry’s whilst on a small motorbike tour. Check in was super easy and efficient. We had the family room, 2 singles and a double. There was even a little living room, which was excellent. Prices are comparable to other hotels, if not slightly cheaper. The only downside of our room was it was at the top of the hotel, stairs only. That been said, we were all perfectly able of getting up there, and it’s only something to bear in mind if you’re less mobile. 10/10 would stay again.

Staff were lovely but the hotel needs serious work. All the rooms are on a slant and it actually makes you feel quite ill. It’s like being on a boat which has a list to the port side. I was in room 16 and I rolled out of the bed. But I do want to say the staff are amazing and made us very welcome and laugh. Good points are the location and the free parking as well as the staff! Could be a exceptional place if it was on the level. Oh and the shower was rubbish and no ventilation in the bathroom either!

A great place to stay in Aber. Room was really spacious with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed and sofa. the bathroom had a bath with an overhead shower which was excellent. The staff we met were all very friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was quite extensive with cereal, fruit, yogurts plus an amazing full breakfast. The bar has a good selection of beers plus spirits. The location is fantastic as you are only a 5 minute walk from the sea plus many restaurants and takeaway's

On arrival the staff were friendly and professional. Everything was explained including the car parking so no questions needed to be asked later. The room was clean and comfortable and even had a good shower and TV. The business is set up very well here, you have a bistro / bar to one side which seemed quite popular and the main bar (with a pool table) behind and a beer garden with the hotel rooms being upstairs. I have read complaints that the bar doesn't stay open later than about 10pm which is actually a good idea with it being a hotel, but that's the way it is, there are plenty of pubs nearby. Everything you could want from a visit is here and I would stay here again if in Aberystwyth.
