Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice bunkhouse located 10 mins walk from the Main Street. Excellent value for money and lots of space. It has a basic kitchen with an oven and the bedrooms are clean and comfy. No frills but did the job perfectly. Dewi was very accommodating and easy going - thank you

It is a good value for money, very honest. If you something simple with no fuss, it is for you. It is located in a quite place, away from the noise of busy place. It has 2 very large resting rooms and a well equiped kitchen. For food and breakfast, there are general stores in Bethesda. The owner is very friendly.

A great stay with friends at Caban Cysgu. Dewi was extremely friendly and helpful and sent us lots of great information on local MTB routes before we arrived. The rooms were clean and showers hot. It's a great spot for outdoor adventures with amazing walks right from the doorstep and an easy drive to all the best spots in North Wales. We'd definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

CABAN-CYSGU is a really nice accomodation for those on tight budget but want to be within reasonable distance to the North wales attaraction. 4 rooms accomodating between 2 to 8 on bunk beds. The lounge room is really big and spacious for indoor activities. The rooms are reasonably clean and spacious as are the bathroom and toilets with good hot water. Room heating is not the best but there is heating. The kitchen is not that bad if you are not too fussy, The view is really amazing once you look beyond the nearby houses. ideal for group of 10 and above book the place as you will enjoy your group privacy. singles and couples may not enjoy this place unless you happy to share facilities with strangers. I will go back with my big groups, never alone. Hire this place All or nothing

Although our room was warm and clean, it was very small even at the very reasonable price. There were a group of boys in the rest of the bunkhouse and the shared areas were evidence of that :-). We were welcomed on arrival, but there didn't seem to be anyone around after that, which was fine until the light went off in the bathroom as I was stepping into the shower and, in the morning, we were unable to light the cooker to make breakfast. To be fair, it was fine for the price for a night but I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. I imagine that a family or group of friends having sole occupancy would enjoy it very much. About a 10 minute walk to town, a few pubs but none of them sold food; small choice of take away food available. Surrounding scenery is magnificent.

Stayed here in October as a group of 13, taking sole occupancy. Sleeping accomodation is good - interesting mix of room sizes, which allows for groups or solos/twins. Plenty of shower and toilet facilities, although the hot water sometimes struggles if everyone wants a shower after a walk. Kitchen is decent enough, and its nice to have use of the community hall as a social area. It meant that we had a great base for our weekend away - and didn't need to spend all the time not walking in pubs. Only one pub in the village does food,
