Stayed 1 night whilst cycle touring. Warm welcome and provided us with safe indoor place for our bikes, that's essential for us. Clean, warm and comfy single rooms. Tea making, bath products etc all provided at a very reasonable price. Good hot shower. Then downstairs to the bar restaurant where I was surprised by choice of food and beers on offer.... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We ate in the restaurant and the food was nice good quality food. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom itself was disappointing as it was in need of modernisation. Our room was right next to the railway line so we didn't have a great nights sleep. We were also woken... More

the room was clean and pleasant enough. the location uninspiring though. Bangor is isolated enough as it is without staying somewhere which has little of interest in walking distance around it. the owner operator was missing in action, and talked to you via an intercom which was placed in the reception area - a somewhat odd arrangement. wifi weak. the... My husband stayed at this hotel when traveling with a friend about 20 years ago. Parking is ample. Restaurant has generous hours - food service closes at 9, food was good. Locals do enjoy the pub. It's not right in town, but close by. Breakfast was excellent. As with many hotels in the UK, doubles not king or queen beds... More

We stayed one night at this hotel while in the area, we were pleased with the comfortable rooms and nice menu, we enjoyed our starter and main before at 8:55 being told that there would be no deserts as the chef had gone home, despite the menu saying they served food until 9(usually meaning you can start your meal anytime... Booked 3 rooms at this hotel as we were in the area for our sons 21st. Nothing was to much trouble, the rooms were spotlessly clean, comfy beds, lovely hot water and the breakfast was second to none. Thank you Errol and the team and the locals in the bar who were good fun. P.s you really don't notice the... More

Just got back from a 2 night stay fro graduation at Bangor Uni. Booked the Abbeyfield as it was one of the few who could do 2 nights. It's a nice simple hotel that serves a great breakfast. The bar menu is excellent and the portions not for those on a diet! I had the steak n ale pie and... More

Clean room, comfortable facilities, decent home cooked food in the bar. Friendly and helpful staff. I was in Bangor on business and wanted somewhere peaceful and reasonably priced before I headed on to my next destination. I got what I wanted.
