Detailed Reviews
Emely was extremely helpful on booking and kept in touch in the run up to our visit.
The welcome was efficient and friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy as was the bathroom. There was plenty of tea/coffee in the rooms and clean towels were also available.

I was very impressed by the clean and friendly B&B. My room was lovely and the breakfast was made to order as I have a special diet. Emely was charming and couldn't do enough. Highly recommended. I will return :)

Lovely room. Amazing view. Fantastic location.Great bathroom. Wonderful welcoming owner. We couldn't ask for more. We will definitely use this guest house again when we visit our son at university. I am very choosy but this place was just perfect.

Stayed for 2 nights while touring North Wales. Germor is located just 5 minutes walk from the High Street, where there are plenty of shops, pubs etc. It's approx 10 minutes walk to Bangor Pier, and the station is approx 20 minutes walk away.
I hadn't expected too much from Germor Bed and Breakfast, as the room rate was one of the lowest I had paid. I received a warm welcome from Emely, who showed me to a bright room that overlooked the harbour and sea beyond. The room was clean, comfortable and provided everything I needed. The room may not be serviced every day. There is some traffic noise from the road at the front of guest house. ( Experience has taught me never to travel without earplugs) I slept well on both my nights.
The large luxury bathroom was shared with 2 other rooms, which proved to be no problem during my stay. The shower was excellent. There was also a full size bath.
Breakfast was served at a large shared table in the lounge/diner. Again, I hadn't expected too much of breakfast. How wrong could I have been? There was a glass of orange juice poured and waiting for each of the guest and there was a selection of cereals to choose from. The cooked breakfast was lovely and was more generous than all the previous places I had stayed. I actually asked for the fried potatoes and baked beans to be left off on the 2nd day to reduce the size of the meal . There was thickly sliced toast as to follow.
Emely works hard to provide good clean and comfortable accommodation at a very reasonable rate. I would definitely stay again if visiting Bangor in the future.

I stayed at this B&B for six days. Clean room, clean bathroom, excellent breakfast (I usually skipped lunch because I didn't get hungry until late afternoon) and friendly service - an offer to pick me up from the train, and a lunch pack on my last day. I paid less than half the going rate for a hotelroom. Strongly recommended!

We stayed at Germôr on the first night of our long bike tour of Wales. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming, giving us the useful details we needed and providing safe parking for our bikes.
Our room was comfortable and perfectly clean with a lovely view of the harbour. Good quality bedding and comfortable mattresses. The wifi worked very well and the bathroom, although shared, was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Breakfast was full and plentiful, preparing us really well for our next day's exertions. If we come this way another time we'll hope to stay at Germôr again.

A super B&B for us because it suited our budget. We would use it again.
Strengths: clean, low priced, huge breakfast, friendly host, bikes were stored in garage overnight, on cycle route 5, excellent views from front over the harbour and sands to Beamaris, bird song in the morning (curlew, waders and gulls), close to pubs and an Italian restaurant where you can eat. Weaknesses: (none of which bothered us, but it may bother you), no ensuite, 1 shared huge bathroom, but another toilet downstairs, 2 front bedrooms have traffic noise from 6am, the seagulls can be louder than lorries, steps up to the front door.
Conclusion: if you want a friendly, clean place on a budget then this is for you. If you want something quaint, charming and away from it all then go somewhere else.
